Dr. Lowe and staff do a fantastic job! Customer Service is fantastic. Nina and Kat will take good care of you when you call ahead to schedule an appointment. Their nurses, Cory and Angie, are very friendly and courteous and will provide you with professional services. If you are a veteran, give this place a try. Dr. Lowe also has a phlebotomist named Mindy who is also courteous and kind. If you need help with anything, she will be the first who will take good care of you.

I am alive because of Metcalf. Not everything went the way wanted after, but because I learned a thing or two while at Metcalf, I was able to find a way to accept those things without drugs, or alcohol, or anger, or self harm.
Someday I will visit hopefully.
If you're thinking about this, know this, it can save your life, but you and only you can get you through it.

First off THANK YOU to all who involved in my treatment at PEoP, aka my previous Behavioral Counselor -Sandra Vargas.
I recently had to discharge from Services for some precautionary measures of double billing since I'm currently enrolled in an IOP program that provides therapy and Counseling services within their program. My future plans and hope once program completion is to definitely 😁 restart sessions.
I can only speak to the effect of my experience with my Therapist Sandra to a slight degree here. Although any time I have ever had an inquiry, called regarding my intake and enrollment or referral all administrative staff where extremely helpful as well.
PEoP has brought me a profound new belief for Counseling in general. Sandra was so amazing. I was able to open up to her very easily, I learned very quickly she TRULLY cared and learned so much from her in the 10, or so sessions I had with her.
As a Certified Recovery Support Specialist I have indeed uploaded photos of my treatment. Although images of other parties have been blurred for the sake of HIPAA privacy. This is strictly for an educational and awareness purpose

My daughter is currently here. We are from out of state and sending her somewhere that I had not been able to see or meet the people there was more than scary for her and for me!! All I can say up to this point is that all our fears are gone. It is everything they claim it is online and more. She is being supported in every single way possible. From addressing her addiction, her mental health, physical health, everything. The facility reaches out to me weekly to give me updates on her as well. I have had alot of experience with rehabs and know that it's rare when you get ALL of these things or that what it claims it is online, isn't what it is when you get there. I just wanted to let anyone else that is in the position I was about sending your child there sight unseen, to know that you are making an excellent choice in choosing Wolf Creek, they are an amazing place!!

I am so thankful we found Guiding Roads. There is no question they saved my husband’s life and our relationship. If you or a loved one are looking for help with an addiction, I highly suggest them. They are not your typical detox center who takes you in and discharges you 5-7 days later. This is a true treatment program. From the level of experience and their in depth programs, to their compassion and understanding, they are second to none. I can’t thank them enough for giving me my husband back.
They follow the 12 step program and give you a sponsor who works with you through the process. My husband had tried other places in the past to get sober as well as the 12 steps before, but nothing like this. They know what they are doing and have a dedicated staff and followers who belief in their system, because it works. They provide excellent support for both physical and emotional recovery. They helped him develop an understanding of his self awareness while dealing with issue from the past. Which was one of the many things that always lead back to drinking.

We just returned from my husband Eric’s first VA primary care appointment and were absolutely blown away by how efficient, professional, and downright welcoming the entire experience was.
We were checked in by Kayla, who was friendly and fast — I don’t think we even sat for a full minute before being called back. That kind of efficiency is rare these days! Mark, the RN, was kind, thorough, and respectful and made sure we had every number we needed to navigate the system with confidence. Then we met Joshua Makela, PA-C and it was clear from the start that we were in excellent hands. Not only is Josh a veteran himself (which we deeply respect), but he’s also compassionate, knowledgeable, and a true listener. He took his time to explain everything, answer questions, and walk us through what to expect going forward.
After the appointment, Kayla checked us out and scheduled Eric’s next annual physical. We left feeling informed, supported, and so grateful to be part of Team Freedom. This group truly feels like our tribe.
Huge thanks to everyone at the VA — you’ve restored our faith in healthcare and veteran support. We’re so happy to be in your care!

There are plenty more, I'm sure. But listing every grievance would take up multiple paragraphs.
But then I think to myself, "It sounds like a bunch of ex-residents weren't happy about being told what to do and left, so they're saying anything to deter someone from getting help."
I know because I used to be a resident. I first came into contact with TLC when I was homeless and on crystal meth; I was 130 pounds and sucked up. Along with my weight I was losing my sanity, as well. I came to the Mac House in the early 2000's and they accepted me with no money, only a chance to get clean. I am grateful I did because this year I will have 20 years of sobriety, something I could have never done without the help of this place.
Ignore the negative comments. Sure, it's not a five-star resort or one of those treatment centers where they give foot massages and pampered restrictions. But it's a place to gain your sanity back, if you want it.

This company is super dishonest. They told me my insurance wouldn’t be paying for appointments anymore. Then within a week then recanted saying they could bill the insurance. After I paid for all the remaining visits I had scheduled. Just under $300.00. I was told I would be getting a refund. That was almost three months ago now. I’ve provided proof of payment their original receipt and nothing. I even filed a dispute with the card holder which somehow they fought and won? I still don’t have my money but they are for sure charging my insurance. Oh yes the real kicker is I don’t have a choice about going here. They are contracted with the state.

Cheryl, goes by Sherry, is absolutely HORRIBLE. I saw her three times and each time she refused to give me my medications that I’ve been taking for years. I’m switching back to my old place after spending months trying to get my medication from her. She treated me like I was a drug addict and acted like I’m stupid. I am a 22 year old nursing student who has been having panic attacks since I was 10 years old. My panic attacks have been so severe that I’ve had to go to the hospital to get shots of ativan that would STILL take 30 minutes to get me to calm down because my panic attacks were so bad. I have SEVERE anxiety and the only thing that stopped these hospital trips was when I was prescribed xanax a few years ago. I only take about one or two a month. Sometimes I even go months at a time without taking any at all. Very clearly not an addict. She wouldn’t even give me my ADHD meds, concerta. She built absolutely no trust with me and I have never felt so insecure or uncomfortable with a health care professional in my life. Absolutely horrible woman who lacks any empathy. She should not be in the health care field. I left every appointment with her crying because I felt so embarrassed. DONT GO HERE! Go to Polara Health where they will treat you like a human.

I just transferred to the northern AZ VA system and I have been floored with how great and attentive they've been. I have mental health issues and the primary Prescott location has been super quick to get me in and talking to someone. The psychiatrist I talked to listened to me and suggested some things for me to try.
I am now on a weekly therapy and different meds, when I asked them to check in after I start the meds they scheduled weekly appointments.
I had my labs done last week, super quick and really easy going tech.
Today I saw nurse Sara and she was lovely! Completely at ease and fun to chat with.
I then saw Dr Gallagher and she was delightful. She knew my records, she asked questions and she offered some other treatment options for me. She made sure I had the assistance and appointments all down correctly and said if I need anything to reach out.
I've been in the VA system for about a decade and this has been the best experience so far. Oakwood GA clinic was great but cottonwood has surpassed them. Thank you all for being there.
