I was sent here at age 16 from another treatment facility. My experience wasn't too bad at all. They supplied me with the necessary items upon my arrival and a color coded uniform so others understood I was new. Different colors came with different treatment. I made some decent friends and unfortunately lost touch with them. Honestly, this place isn't for kids who just simply have bad attitudes, this place is for kids who don't know when to stop acting out and only get worse over time. I've met some girls here who had made scarier choices than me. From my experience the staff only confronted or restrained those who continued giving them attitude or tried to fight them or other girls. I personally wouldn't consider it torture, but things could have drastically changed since I've been there. They had a good amount of activities to keep every one busy and allowed the girls to make a small amount of money by working in the kitchen or other small duties. The group homes they have weren't bad at all either unless, again, you acted out massively. This place taught me that life is what you make of it and that actions will have consequences. Not just for you, but others around you as well.

My daughter is currently here. We are from out of state and sending her somewhere that I had not been able to see or meet the people there was more than scary for her and for me!! All I can say up to this point is that all our fears are gone. It is everything they claim it is online and more. She is being supported in every single way possible. From addressing her addiction, her mental health, physical health, everything. The facility reaches out to me weekly to give me updates on her as well. I have had alot of experience with rehabs and know that it's rare when you get ALL of these things or that what it claims it is online, isn't what it is when you get there. I just wanted to let anyone else that is in the position I was about sending your child there sight unseen, to know that you are making an excellent choice in choosing Wolf Creek, they are an amazing place!!

Decision Point was the first rehab that I've been too I was recommended to go there by my cousin Gabriel he completed treatment there and has been Sober for 6 years now. He always told me when I was ready that he would be right there to take me. That was the best decision I've ever made from the BHTs to Counselor's and staff was amazing. An I'm really thinking of goin that way for treatment to get away from here for awhile an maybe if I like it there then maybe I'll move me n my kids that way after I get settled in n a place of my own. Because I known if I come back home I'm for sure gonna relapse because I known so much people all around were I live. N tbh I'm never home I'm always out running around on my rez because I know pretty much every user. But yeah I don't want to be this person I am today I want to be the person I was 6 years ago n that is a mother that worked I was married but I'm a widow for 3 years now. I can't continue to live this life, I lost the one person that loved me my best friend my husband. Me n him were supposed to sober up together n get our kids back but then he went missing ,but he was found but not the way I last saw him. That was the worst day of my life finding that he was no longer wit us, I can't keep living this drug life my kids lost there dad n I don't need them to lose me too. I need my kids more then they need me. But my question is OK when I complete everything n if I do choose to stay that way how long do u think it would take to get a place for me n my kids n do u guys help wit that too or how does that work. This is a great place for an elderly man also as my Uncle was treated at Arrowhead Lodge for alcoholism. Not only did he get the help he needed but also the tools to manage and maintain his sobriety.

I am currently in GMBH in Prescott and it is so wonderful here. I am VERY happy I came here! I have been in and out of these rehabs and I have never thought I could get into a place like this. Highly recommend Granite Mountain Behavioral Health. However, you have got to want it! Doesn't matter how luxurious or good the therapists and BHT's are if you aren't done and ready to get your life back then there's no help that's going to help you change. You have to want it and be serious about your recovery. If you are then contact GMBH ASAP and good luck and God bless. You got this.

I just transferred to the northern AZ VA system and I have been floored with how great and attentive they've been. I have mental health issues and the primary Prescott location has been super quick to get me in and talking to someone. The psychiatrist I talked to listened to me and suggested some things for me to try.
I am now on a weekly therapy and different meds, when I asked them to check in after I start the meds they scheduled weekly appointments.
I had my labs done last week, super quick and really easy going tech.
Today I saw nurse Sara and she was lovely! Completely at ease and fun to chat with.
I then saw Dr Gallagher and she was delightful. She knew my records, she asked questions and she offered some other treatment options for me. She made sure I had the assistance and appointments all down correctly and said if I need anything to reach out.
I've been in the VA system for about a decade and this has been the best experience so far. Oakwood GA clinic was great but cottonwood has surpassed them. Thank you all for being there.

I came to this center lost, unsure of my next move after my career ended. The therapy helped me dig deep into my identity and rebuild with purpose. Had a life-reset at Safe Harbor. The setting is super private, which I needed, and I could still stay a bit connected to my company. The staff were real, not robotic. CBT helped a lot with my anxiety. Food was okay, not amazing. Still, life-changing experience. Worth it.

I was in residential for about 4 months in 2025. I came in very ill and untrusting. I was met with a warm, caring, hopeful team who met me with compassion and expertise. I was also heavily supported by leadership. My team met me where I was at and was willing to be patient with my progress and circumstances. It didn’t take me long to trust in my team and begin my treacherous journey toward recovery. My team fought for me to progress toward my goals prior to discharge, which meant so much. I’m in a much better place because of my journey at Rosewood. Some suggestions include more content/process heavy groups and better communication with aftercare providers. Also, continued trauma training for BHTs, nurses, clinical team etc. Special shout-out to Amanda, dietitian, for allowing me to find hope, guidance, compassion, and support in my sessions and advocating for me throughout my entire stay. Can Confidently say Rosewood Ranch saved my life! I was a client here twice both times In 2024 on the adolescent side. When I was first admitted I had just been discharged from the hospital and was in a dark and scary place in my life where I truly did not think I was going to get better. When I first arrived, I was very scared and nervous as it was my first rtc I had been to. After acclimating I realized truly how healing Rosewood Ranch is. A little bit after I discharged I realized I needed more help. I was embarrassed to come back however the staff were so so supportive and welcomed me back with open arms. After leaving The Ranch the second time I was admitted to Rosewood Php and later admitted to Rosewood Scottsdale but I credit majority of my recovery to The Ranch. The therapists and dietitians here are very knowledgeable in ed treatment. Thanks to Rosewood Ranch I have my life back.

As a patient at the adolescent side... I was very lucky to have a great community and various great staff members. I came from another residential because i needed to be stepped up to a higher level of care and I would not have wanted it to be anywhere else. Yes there were days that sucked but every treatment center has its bad days. Dave was an amazing therapist and Malia was a great dietician. I was in a very bad place with my eating disorder and rosewood was able to renourish and help me start my recovery journey. I will always be appreciative of the help i recieved. No matter how hard it was in the beginning but by the end of my time their it truly was a big help. If you or your kids are struggling I would recommend rosewood.

We just returned from my husband Eric’s first VA primary care appointment and were absolutely blown away by how efficient, professional, and downright welcoming the entire experience was.
We were checked in by Kayla, who was friendly and fast — I don’t think we even sat for a full minute before being called back. That kind of efficiency is rare these days! Mark, the RN, was kind, thorough, and respectful and made sure we had every number we needed to navigate the system with confidence. Then we met Joshua Makela, PA-C and it was clear from the start that we were in excellent hands. Not only is Josh a veteran himself (which we deeply respect), but he’s also compassionate, knowledgeable, and a true listener. He took his time to explain everything, answer questions, and walk us through what to expect going forward.
After the appointment, Kayla checked us out and scheduled Eric’s next annual physical. We left feeling informed, supported, and so grateful to be part of Team Freedom. This group truly feels like our tribe.

Individual therapist, family therapist are both assigned-typically different people for each so that the integrity of each is maintained. Group therapy sessions (I attended evening group sessions) are very helpful, as you are with other people that have same or similar issues. Which is great for peer support, feedback. There are "activities" done each session covering a wide range of topics-which are all related in their own way to treatment.
There is a focus on mental health-which I had essentially overlooked, or dismissed-and found this to be specifically helpful. As in, fixing the overall whole, required addressing each individual part. Once I truly grasped this, and was able to do the work and come to an understanding of the importance, how to address, and practice what was learned-the overall experience, and end result, was easier and better.
Again: family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, nurse practitioners available, ability to use medications to also support recovery (or you obviously can choose not to use medications), it's all available.
I'd recommend CORE Recovery for sure!

My son is 18 and struggling with a fentanyl addiction. To say the very least it’s been hard and traumatic. My son went to the crossroads detox facility. The 12 step program works miracles and the people that work within the facility have first-hand experience often times with their own addiction recovery. Rose and Bridgette were incredibly impressionable on my son and worked very hard to influence him positively. If I could afford to open a dozen more of these places I would. God bless these people and those struggling with addiction.

Despite my obstinate reluctance to participate in this type of therapy, the staff has been extremely confident and flexible in finding a way to help me. I am still surprised and very grateful for their commitment and sincerity. They really have helped in a direct and tangible fashion in a very short time. I never would have guessed that I would end up with such gratitude and respect for the people and process I have been gifted with. I offer my best wishes for all those who sacrifice so much to help and serve to foster recovery and wellness for others. Somehow, even I seem to be worth the effort from such generous folk. I was a client at Fountain Hills Recovery at the beginning 2025, and I felt compelled to leave a review about my time there. During my stay, I received treatment for Alcohol and actively participated in all components of the residential treatment program, including group therapy, individual therapy, and psychiatric therapy. The staff was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of taking back control of your life, and their care and kindness was well above what I expected to receive. The home I stayed in was always well stocked with food of your choosing, and the meals that were provided were well balanced and hit high marks from the chef that prepared them daily for us. Besides the great accommodations in place, the treatment I received was highly beneficial and had led me to know reach a 6 month milestone of living a sober and clean life. I am thankful for my decision to choose Fountain Hills and would recommend it to anyone who is serious about making decisions that will shape their future for the better.

I’m in long-term recovery from literally every substance and mental health issue known to man. It’s been a very difficult journey and I’m beyond grateful to have found Estil Wallace and Cornerstone. I’m a graduate school student, intern, and entrepreneur. I work in behavioral health and I was having a really hard time finding a safe space to focus on my own recovery. I attended the Tuesday night men’s stag meeting and IMMEDIATELY felt at ease. It’s an AMAZING men’s AA meeting. Very clearly literature-based and solution-oriented. Not only is the building IMMACULATE but I saw men reading Big Books and doing Step Work. I had to work through a lot of trauma and a lot of grief before I felt comfortable enough to go anywhere besides therapy and the gym. As soon as I got to Cornerstone, I felt SAFE. Obviously, no one comes here (particularly the first time) when everything in his or her life is going perfectly and all of his or her hopes and dreams have just come true. If you find yourself in need of CMS you are probably at or below rock bottom. Furthermore, I would think it would go without saying that to be an employee of CMS or any similar business, one would have to be kind, patient, and understanding but as anyone who has ever been to the Cactus location will undoubtedly confirm, that isn't the case. I was at Cactus for less than one month, but have witnessed first-hand as well as through friends who have been going there for years, that nearly the entire staff at that location seem to hate their jobs only slightly less than they hate their clients. Rude, disrespectful, and in some cases what can only be described as intentionally cruel and bordering on sadistic was what I came to expect from CMS, until moving to this location on the corner of 23rd Avenue and Northern. Here, the opposite is true as I have witnessed all the best qualities humanity has to offer from nearly everyone on staff. This includes the receptionists at the front desk, through the nurses, providers and counselors, not only towards me but generally to all people who are the most in need of such compassion and yet are often the least likely to receive it from a society that has been taught to see people suffering this affliction and instead judge them to be undesirables, criminals, or worse. In particular, Bea at the front desk and Kaleen, my counselor need to be recognized. Even when surrounded by other people demonstrating the correct way to treat those in need of help and support, Bea and Kaleen manage to distinguish themselves with their empathy and warmth. If you should ever find yourself in need of a place like CMS, you will be hard-pressed to discover anywhere more welcoming and less judgemental. Neither will you find a staff more compassionate, nor are you likely to encounter people who more embody the traits we should honestly expect from everyone in a health care field. While it would be nice if services like this were no longer needed, I couldn't be more pleased to have found this CMS location at a point where I couldn't have needed them more.
Just one last thing to add. I noticed more 1-star reviews for this location than I would have expected. When I investigated this a little further, I discovered that all but two of the negative reviews were from at least six years ago and one of the two "newer" poor reviews was two years old. If you were swayed by the criticism, I hope you now believe (as I do) that the problems that apparently plagued this location were in the past. It truly does appear that they have taken the past critiques seriously, have addressed those issues, and now run a clinic with nearly perfect ratings. While I was initially distressed to see so many low scores after posting my honest, very flattering opinion of this CMS, especially after making the point that the kindness and compassion I witnessed wasn't only directed at me, I am relieved to learn that the overwhelming majority of those scores were from a time before I started coming here. I also now wonder if several or many employees moved from this location to Cactus five to seven years ago...
