We just returned from my husband Eric’s first VA primary care appointment and were absolutely blown away by how efficient, professional, and downright welcoming the entire experience was.
We were checked in by Kayla, who was friendly and fast — I don’t think we even sat for a full minute before being called back. That kind of efficiency is rare these days! Mark, the RN, was kind, thorough, and respectful and made sure we had every number we needed to navigate the system with confidence. Then we met Joshua Makela, PA-C and it was clear from the start that we were in excellent hands. Not only is Josh a veteran himself (which we deeply respect), but he’s also compassionate, knowledgeable, and a true listener. He took his time to explain everything, answer questions, and walk us through what to expect going forward.
After the appointment, Kayla checked us out and scheduled Eric’s next annual physical. We left feeling informed, supported, and so grateful to be part of Team Freedom. This group truly feels like our tribe.
Huge thanks to everyone at the VA — you’ve restored our faith in healthcare and veteran support. We’re so happy to be in your care!

Cave Creek, AZ | Soberman’s Estate, located in Cave Creek, Arizona, is an alcohol and drug rehab center that provides addiction treatment services to adult men, professionals, and public figures. They are a discrete, luxury rehab for individuals aged 30 to 80 years old. This location caps their treatment center at ten men at a time. As one of leading inpatient re | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This place is amazing! Sobermans truly saved my life! I had been to 2 places before & unfortunately neither one helped in the long run. I was literally on the verge of destroying my entire life with an opioid addiction & don’t even remember the days before detox or the first few days in detox, it was that bad. So while I was in detox, I was on the verge of hopelessness sitting in regret & overwhelmed by past trauma when someone came to me and said, your only option at this point is Soberman’s. I had never heard of them before, but at this point I’m willing to try anything so, let’s get it going as soon as I leave detox. All I can say is this place is magical! From the first night until the last I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. For the first time in my life everything made sense & I felt safe because of Soberman’s way of doing things. The labyrinth has an energy like I’ve never felt before, it’s like everyone who had been there before left a little part of themselves to help those to come. The staff all have stories of their own & are some of the most beautiful human beings I’ve had the pleasure to be around. The Alumni are great & very supportive! I was fortunate enough while I was there to do 2 Alumni dinners, so I was able to meet a lot of them during the dinner. I’ve also had the pleasure of going to one dinner since I’ve been out which was fun. The Alumni are very supportive & always available, which is something I’ve never had before. A group you can always call on & they also have a weekly zoom call to check in too. Sobermans helped guide me to my recipe for success & I will forever be grateful! I’ve been Sober for 8 months now & have no desire to use, but if I do I now have the skills to deal with it in a healthy way. Thank You to everyone at Sobermans!

Soberman’s Estate was everything I needed for my recovery. The staff, the program, physical activity and culinary experience were top notch and essential. The program is well designed and worked better than I expected. The staff is remarkable - professional, considerate and genuinely caring. My time there and being removed from alcohol for five weeks was everything I needed to remove my craving for alcohol. Soberman has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. I feel confident, secure and grateful for my new life. I have reconnected with my family and friends. Thank you Soberman.

I wish this was my first, I’d likely have found the healing and comfort I was looking for years ago. I would absolutely recommend going through the Providence program to anyone who is looking for a change in the way they view themselves, the world, or the substances they can’t seem to get away from. The staff are genuinely great people - they’re funny, relatable, kind, they care, and they’re just real. The therapists are all very different from one another which helps make the entire experience really feel like it’s for me. They all have different personalities and communication styles, but the exact same high level of knowledge, experience, and professionalism. I’ve met a lot of truly incredible human beings who were also patients who I see are also in what looks like lasting and meaningful recovery (this is coming from someone who’s been to countless treatment centers and has seen people fall off as soon as they leave.)
TLDR: just do it. If you’re reading this review, you’re probably suffering like h***. What else could you possibly lose by giving this a try?

From Residential to IOP, the experience was impressive. I spent about 100 days with Scottsdale Providence and was dealing with a lot of legal issues, FMLA and disability needs. Knowledgeable, qualified staff with continuous training helped me every step of the way. I was educated in mental health and my addiction and provided every tool necessary to continue a fulfilling, sober life. The connections Scottsdale Providence provides to ensure every part of the client is served was amazing. From seeing a medical doctor, a psych nurse, yoga studio, resources for continuum of care once treatment has concluded all assisted me in my recovery. I couldn't be more grateful to the organization and staff. They literally saved my life!

With this facility transitioning to a hybrid sober living platform requiring the daily programming with the way it has been taught has been life changing to say the least, the opportunity my wife and I have been given to join this program I must say not only my life individually has been saved my marriage has been as well and that has not been a focus in fact my marriage saved is a most pleasant by product of my own and my wife's sobriety as individuals, while my wife and I are working this program as individuals our bond has grew in strength along with the connection we have which is growing daily, this in depth 12 step based program has taught me how to live differently in sobriety. With learning how to live differently in sobriety the freedom to come and go as we please along with the ability to work has been excellent to allow us to experience the outside world while still in a safe environment, with this being my first and only treatment that I've ever gone through it be extremely difficult to imagine any other program having the impact Soul Surgery has had on me if I was given a choice how I want to attain sobriety I would chose this place, I am forever thankful and greatful for having the opportunity for sobriety and learning how to use the tools from who I have learned them from.

I was a resident in treatment for 28 days at the North Scottsdale location. My experience was second-to-none, and I would like to thank each member of the staff.
This place gave me my life back. They helped me uncover the root of my problems. They guided me through intensive therapy. Their staff took genuine care of my well-being through a balanced routine of individual and group therapy, education, physical, and nutritional practices. They allowed me space and time to look inward to process grief, trauma, self-destructive tendencies, behavioral issues, addiction, and mental health issues.
Michael handled my individual therapy and lead process group. His wisdom, charisma, and honesty lead me through breakthrough after breakthrough from my trauma, my triggers, and the root causes of my behaviors. He helped me outline a treatment plan suited to my individual needs and goals. He was the maestro and I the musician.
Cami provided education, lead group discussion, and gave us tools daily to help me through treatment. She provided clarity and helped me navigate the deeps waters of my issue simply by supplying the life vest to keep me afloat. As the case manager she helped me navigate the balance between my wants and my needs.
Gerry was the behind-the-scenes director of the house, the staff, and the structure of my care. She managed every in and out of the schedule, provided a foundation for the house, a structure for the day-to-day needs of the residents and the staff who cared for them. She is the ultimate mother hen, tediously and tirelessly devoted to overall well-being of all who enter the home.
Patsy is the resident chef and an absolute angel of a person. Not only did she provide the residents with the best meal plan, catering to the needs of everyone, she professionally and excellently prepared and configured every meal. She wasn't just the chef, she was the glue to bring everyone together. Having her around during the day offered a safe space to communicate, to show care, and bring love, light, and kindness to the home. She will give it to you straight with a smile and then drag your ass to the gym when you’re ready.
The nurses, Layla and Vicki, were so wonderful. Responsible for keeping our meds, appointments, and care daily. They meticulously took notes and monitored our mental and physical well-being. Not only so but were a part of our lives lead medical and mental health classes and facilitated group activities. Beautiful souls and caregivers.
The BHT’s were outstanding and uniquely suited to run the inner workings of the house and its processes. Keeping the schedule, maintaining our accomodations, managing our routine, schedule, and structure.
Krispy (spelling?) was a perfect gentleman and a caring soul. Devoted and willing to do anything needed with a smile. He was genuine, hilarious, thoughtful, and kind. Easy to talk to and helpful in any way. Nate was a gentle, observant, and spiritual soul. Relatable, considerate, and an advocate to all. He showed up with a willingness to work and help others, always. Brian, a man of true integrity, wisdom, and heart. Often he would engage with every individual and provide honesty, guidance, and actionable advice. A real no BS straight shooter, but a loving, thoughtful and caring man genuinely looking out for the well-being of everyone he interacted with. Desha, a hardworking, insightful, and calming presence. Willing and able to meet anyone at their level. Considerate, giving and thoughtful, another true gift to the program. Jay is a yoga master born of light and love, ready to guide you to peace. Master T is a man wrapped in light and positivity. As a trainer he challenges your physical body and sharpen your mind along the way.
I will forever be grateful to each and every one of the people who contributed to helping me get back to my wife and children a better and whole man, forever changed for the better. If you need help please seek this place out. I promise they will take care of you and in turn help you take care of yourself. You are worth it!

I started at Cornerstone in December of 2024, thinking I would be in and out in the virtual program. Now, see I needed a liver transplant and thinking it would help get me on the list quicker do this and be done. Todd My counselor and the rest of the staff helped me through my ups and downs and understood when I wasn’t with it! But I still showed! They saved my life and were there for before and after transplant. The staff showed me I needed to love myself before I could work on myself but I needed to work on myself before I could love myself.
Now I get the pleasure to be part of the staff. I always say it is hard work but when you get it , you get!

: Heartfelt Appreciation for the Care Team, BHTs, and Nursing Staff
Dear Leadership, Behavioral Health Technicians, and Nursing Staff at Aurora Behavioral Health System,
I am writing this letter to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care, patience, and support I received during my time with your program. Coming into a behavioral health setting can often feel overwhelming, but the professionalism, dedication, and genuine warmth of your team made an incredible difference in my healing process.
I want to extend a special thanks to the wonderful Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) and nurses. Your nursing staff went above and beyond every single day—ensuring not just that medical needs were met with utmost skill, but that every interaction was handled with compassion, respect, and dignity. To the BHTs, your constant presence, active listening, and unwavering encouragement on the unit provided a sense of safety and community that truly grounded me. Whether running daily routines, offering reassurance during difficult moments, or facilitating engaging recreational programs and art sessions, your hard work does not go unnoticed.
The environments you create allowed me to focus on personal growth, self-reflection, and recovery. The dedication shown by your team reflects the very best of healthcare, and I am profoundly grateful for the guidance and kindness shown to me throughout my stay.
Thank you for everything you do each day to support patients on their journey toward health and healing. Please make sure this message of thanks is shared with the BHTs and nurses who make such a powerful impact on the floor every day.
With sincere appreciation and best wishes,
Joseph Roche I would like to add that I did send a great review about Aurora behavioral health system to Governor Hobbs I promise that the great treatment I received from the staff at Aurora behavioral healthcare will not go unrecognized

This was my first behavioral health hospital I was admitted to and one of the best in my experience. Your day really depends on the staff working that day. Andrew and Tyler were the only good nurses in my experience. Staff gets on you all the time telling you to separate but all day your pretty much alone in the day room with other patients. Techs check in once in awhile but it helped to be able to bond with other patients. The overall space was cleaner then other hospitals. Some techs are really helpful and will sit with you and talk while they work. Nurses do get on you about eating though, I wouldn't eat and they tried to get me on ensures all the time. The Asian doctor is horrible and doesn't listen, told me at one point I was self harming for attention. They didn't give me my clothes for almost a week when I was admitted because I kept scratching myself and had me in the same scrubs for the entire time. Some Russian nurse kept saying self harm was a trend and we were doing it to be cool which was not appropriate. Staff doesn't care when your having serious problems and will just give you meds to knock you out. Overall, staff needs to be properly trained on appropriate comments and how to handle patients properly.

All of the staff here were so friendly, professional, and helpful! I was so nervous for my appointments but they did an amazing job not only reassuring me, but delivering exceptional medical care.
Minus one star because billing was unhelpful and sounded irritated all the time, but honestly that's the case with any medical billing staff since they have to deal with insurance..

Crossroads Pureheart has changed my life. This is an experience I will not ever forget. I have learned more about myself and my battle with addiction then ever before, and I have been on this battle for half the years of my life. This opportunity to walk in recovery again in my life I will not take for granted. Thanks to crossroads and their staff who have walked with me through this.As well as all the young women who have been in program with me striving for better in life. Thank you crossroads for your efforts to change life's 1 person at a time. Time and time again
From day 1 I was supported, heard, uplifted, and educated on how I could walk out the grips of addiction. I was not judged and looked down upon because of the decision addiction lead me too. I was educated on how to change and make change last to better my future.
Anyone struggling with addiction would have a lot to gain from being a part of this program. As long as they have the ability to face the truth about self and receive the help to change.
Thank you Crossroads Pureheart!
