About Cedar Recovery Knoxville East

Cedar Recovery Knoxville East is a CARF accredited outpatient clinic providing opioid addiction treatment to East Knoxville and nearby Tennessee communities.

The clinic specializes in medication assisted treatment, particularly Suboxone based care, combined with counseling and peer support for adults with opioid use disorder.

Their mission is to address the opioid crisis through effective, compassionate and judgment free care that meets each patient where they are.

Opioid Use Disorder Treatment

Cedar Recovery Knoxville East centers its care on opioid recovery, with individualized treatment plans led by a local team of medical providers, a certified peer recovery specialist and a lead therapist.

The clinic pairs Suboxone based MAT with behavioral therapies rather than relying on medication alone.

Initial care includes a therapist led assessment, a medical evaluation by an addiction specialist and a tailored treatment plan, followed by weekly appointments in early recovery.

Patients consistently describe the staff as respectful, welcoming and nonjudgmental, with one testimonial calling the experience “life changing.”

Complete Recovery Support

Beyond MAT, the clinic offers counseling, peer support and comprehensive assessments as part of a well rounded recovery model.

Through CedarRx, the provider’s in house pharmacy program, addiction treatment prescriptions can ship directly to patients’ doors for added privacy and convenience.

Next Steps

This in person outpatient clinic on Asheville Highway serves East Knoxville residents Monday through Friday.

Cedar Recovery holds CARF accreditation and LegitScript verification, and offers care through the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services.

The clinic accepts most major insurance plans, self pay and grant funding when available for eligible patients.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive care without leaving their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically receive intensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Many programs promote clients' long-term sobriety through recovery-focused life skills training and ancillary services, such as peer coaching. Medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance, are common in outpatient care. Most facilities offer multiple levels of care to accommodate clients' evolving needs, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient programming.

Clients in intensive outpatient programs (IOP) receive robust, personalized care to support their reintegration into their community. Clients stepping down from inpatient treatment frequently enroll in IOP before entering standard outpatient care or community-based recovery programs, such as AA. Intensive outpatient treatment generally involves between nine and 20 therapeutic hours weekly, with the frequency and duration of sessions decreasing as clients stabilize. IOP services commonly include counseling, recovery education, holistic therapies, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder (AUD) is a treatable condition characterized by uncontrolled consumption of alcohol which continues despite negative consequences. Treatment options for alcohol addiction include inpatient or outpatient alcohol rehab in Tennessee. Therapeutic methods include group and individual therapy, medication, and holistic therapies. Typically, clinicians use a range of evidence-based therapies such as a biopsychosocial assessment, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to get a complete picture of your mental health, support systems, and motivation to change. Through an individualized treatment plan, you'll receive the support you need to achieve long-term sobriety through new skills and relapse prevention strategies.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Typical cognitive behavioral therapy in Tennessee involves recognizing negative thinking and learning techniques to change that thinking and create new, positive behaviors. Strategies may include SMART goals, journaling, and situation exposure.

Men and women in Tennessee undergoing one on one individual therapy sessions focus on understanding their unique needs and challenges. They do this under the guidance of an experienced therapist who can help you identify and address addiction triggers as well as create personalized relapse prevention plans.
