Had a relative here multiple times long term for chronic health issues. The overall care has been very good to excellent. The communication and summaries provided have all been good. The facilities are modern and state-of-the-art, the facility itself is clean and well lit, and the staff in general seems to be concerned about our relativ's' overall health and progress.

We had to send my daughter to Newport after it was recommended by an acute place that she needed residential and longer treatment than acute care. I didn t have the best impression when I first contacted them. I was mislead and thought I could pay a certain amount to send her closest to us in the Charlotte location but turned out that was not accurate and had to send her to the Connecticut location. Then reading the Google reviews scared us. That s why I wanted to share my experience. My daughter was in the dragonfly group. Everyone was truly amazing. Alexa was always in constant communication with us. She was our family therapist and dealt with all our concerns. She was always there for us when we needed her. Her teacher Tea was in constant communication with my daughter s school and us. My daughter clicked with her personal therapist Amy which helped my daughter a lot. Lisa her roomSupervisor was great with dealing with issues. She got sick a few times and was well taken care of. This place never made my daughter feelinstitutionalized. She enjoyed her MMA and equine therapy. They took them offsite for allDifferent activities including church. When it snowed they went outside and went sledding and snowball fights. All the assistants and aids were so friendly and caring. My daughter truly loved being at Newport and because of them my daughter is on a good healing path. I felt so comfortable with her being so far away. I would highly recommend this place to someone with a child that needed help.

I was a resident in 1992 to 1994. Wellspring helped me tremendously. Especially the Adventure Program where we would go on hikes. I found a love of nature and friendships for a lifetime. The current director, Dan Murray was my therapist and he was so gentle and caring. He cared a great deal about all of his patients. Many of us are still friends and remember him so fondly.I also went on to Angelus House at 18 and finished my senior year of high school at the local public high school. The transition helped me gain confidence and lifelong friendships from there as well.Thank you for the lessons. Many sunk in much later in life, but you helped plant the seeds.

Hi my name is Kevin . I have been receiving treatment at Wheeler clinic for ten plus years. To be honest I have had a few bad experiences at Wheeler clinic but mostly all good . When I was at my lowest mentally I turned to Wheeler for help. I must admit that it was hard in the beginning. I was very reluctant in accepting help, but the staff at Wheeler was very patient with me. As time went on I began to open up. I started realizing that they are here to help me and not make me do anything I didn't want to do. As years passed I became a better person to people around me and most of all to my self . I called Compass Recovery because I wanted to limit my drinking. I had been using a program on my cell phone to count my drinks and receive feedback on how well I was doing. I realized when doing this my counting skill was not at 100%. Being honest with myself about that made me think I needed something more so I made a call to Compass Recovery with the intent of learning how cut back.My experience at Compass Recovery was actually life-changing! I grew up in an environment where drinking was the norm. I thought that's what everyone did. Missing time, falling, and a few other odds and ends were part of living. This program taught me that not everyone uses a substance to cope with stress, anxiety, and past traumas. Knowing that was freeing. I realized I had been living in a cycle of addiction and denial for most of my life, and that it was ok to ask for help. I now know addiction is a chronic and complex disease which is treatable. Asking for help was the first step in my journey of recovery.I am grateful to Compass Recovery - Dino and his team - for this program. It provided multiple tools and real support where I could look at me without judging myself. I learned that I am not now and can never be a social drinker. Each day at Compass we discussed different tools and how to use them. I loved the center's holistic approach to recovery which combined art and music therapy, sound baths, outdoor activities and mindfulness practices. There's a wide range of creative outlets offered. These experiences helped me not only to get back on track and tap into my creative side again but also taught me valuable life skills and coping mechanisms that I continue to draw upon today. Learning new things, having new passions and interests is important. The community at Compass Recovery was amazing. Everyone is there for the same reason. You learn from each other. You support each other through the tough times and celebrate each other's wins. It s like having a second family. The staff was welcoming, supportive, non-judgmental and authentic, which made it easy to open up and be honest about my struggles. I'm so grateful I found this program. It really helped me turn my life around. I have contentment, purpose and joy again. I am no longer on automatic pilot. I live life consciously and that is powerful. If you're struggling with addiction or just need some support, I highly recommend Compass Recovery. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help you deserve it and it will be the best decision you'll ever make. I am forever grateful that I did.

The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Connecticut vary widely and depend on several factors, including:

These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Connecticut. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance.
