updated review: when I wrote the last review, I was not completely convinced that I liked walden. The staff all seemed nice and the environment was welcoming. However, it is only after all this time that I realize that this program is much different from others. The staff here truly care about each kid and their general well-being. You can tell that they actually want to work there and are passionate about it. I appreciate Walden for taking a chance with me when no other place would because it has made all the difference.

For anyone seeking detox and/or intensive inpatient, Rushford is the place to go. The staff and environment are impeccable. I have been using services at bh care for a long time
When I first received services I was living with my parents and was very dependent on them
I was assigned a case manager who push me to be independent in a couple of months I end up moving out and getting my own place
Years later I now pay my own bills provide my own transportation
And now my son goes to young adults at bh care and they are doing the same for him

This is a helpful place in my opinion. When you're feeling so so ill they'll get you back on your feet. They are kind and generous. If I didn't need possible surgery on a very painful shoulder. I may have went from the detox straight into their rehab program. Good food endless juices and snacks. Restful place with kind staff

I can't say enough terrible things about the way this place handles admissions. I was supposedly admission admitted showed up on time. got my little green bracelet. did it indicated I always admitted? took my blood pressure which was high as usual which is also on record. nurse Karen, honestly that's her name. well deserved hostily asking me some questions about a medical condition had me partially stripped made some negative comments and we're off so I spent hours there only essentially be kicked out because I'm too complicated. I'm supposed to get more treatment before I could come back but then there was no coming back. basically his friend who brought me an hour kind of herded to the door a second later I had her go back to pick up the 20 pages they saw of the stuff that I filled out. it had already been shredded. there was no coming back for me. it is humiliating devastating abusive. awful experience
these people do well to obliterate the health care part of Health Care 😭

Rushford took down my original review (i could only imagine why) , so ill repost it for potential future clients. i was a patient at rushford who completed the program on the 25th (still going strong with my sobriety for over a month tomorrow). the experience i had there was the worst experience ive had when it comes to healthcare. I went into suboxone withdrawals, they skipped me for meds for the last 3 of days because i was in quartine . i was coughing up blood and made reports to staff about it and nothing was done. they'll stuff you full of valium and or suboxone, then they wont provide whats necessary to keep the foundation of your "plan" set up. numerous times i noticed i professionalism with staff like when they would ignore clients, or do meaningless tasks like celebrity trivia when we are here to recover. along with numerous arguments with staff who are no greater than any of the clients given that most are previous drug addicts. you would think hartford healthcare would have a better grasp of the situation going on there but theres only three good people on the floor there. Ray one of the Csa's, Rick one of the nurses, and Brianna a clinician. if you go to rushford look for any of those three people

Hey,
I had a run-in with the police, and I have a problem with authority. So obviously this went bad and the police escalated it to the point where they arrested me. Instead of going to jail care and help me decrease my aggression. Working with the therapist at BHcare I’ve been able to become a happier person and happier and doing the things that I do. I look forward to working with the therapist to improve myself so that I can become more Productive.

I had a pleasant experience at this medical centre. My appointment was prompt. I even arrived early and they took me back 15 minutes ahead of schedule. The doctor was nice and seemed very knowledgeable. I would definitely visit this office again.

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a good dentist these days especially when you have husky insurance for adults. This office is very clean, very sanitary, very polite staff, and very welcoming environment for all. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers teeth which is refreshing . My Mom had a wonderful experience at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island hospital! The care she received was exceptional! We were so impressed with how quick the response time was by the staff when the call button was pushed. The staff at every level was kind, caring, patient and professional. They went out of their way to make my Mom’s extended visit comfortable. Mom appreciated some of the staff’s humor and detailed explanations. My mother is legally blind and the staff went out of their way to help guide her with meals and walks with lots of detailed verbal cues. I’m thankful for the things I have now but I just want the solnit south staff to know I’m sorry for everything and if I could go back and change everything I would. I enjoyed the activities they had for us I’d like to thank Miguel for pulling me aside when I’d ask for his time so that we can plan activities with other kids they were always so fun playing kickball and had the ping pong tournament (I won first place) I enjoyed beating all the staff members who could play ping pong I miss those days…. I’d like to thank Dave shinn ( idk how to spell his name lol) but I’d like to thank him for pulling me off the unit to play ping pong with me, man that man is good I finally beat him though but sometimes I think he let me win since it was my last time being there due to age LOL :’D…. all the rec staff were amazing and fun the teachers were also amazing and fun and funny as heck lol… all of the staff rocked man and I wish I could play pingpong again with you guys especially the champ Dave shinn hope all is well and take care.

I am writing this with immense gratitude to thank everyone at WELLBRIDGE for the incredible care and support I received during my stay. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and safe, knowing I was in the hands of people who truly care about their patients.
The facility itself was amazing, providing a comfortable and peaceful space for healing, but what made my experience truly exceptional was the staff. Every single person I encountered nurses, therapists, RSS staff , kitchen staff, played a role in my recovery their kindness, encouragement, and dedication.
I especially want to express my deepest appreciation for my therapist, Samantha. Samantha was not only an incredible professional but also a true guiding light in my recovery. Her compassion, insight, and unwavering support helped me in ways I can never fully put into words. Samantha challenged me when I needed it, listened without judgment, and provided me with the tools to rebuild my life. I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance.

Celebrating 8 years sober this week, and I wanted to reflect on my time at Silver Hill, and express the deep gratitude I have for this facility. This place truly saved my life! After multiple failed attempts at other facilities, this place laid a lasting, strong foundation for my long term recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction, and mental health struggles. It is the most incredibly warm, nurturing, and loving environment for early recovery, and it truly transformed my life. I am forever grateful for the time I spent at Silver Hill. Beautiful campus— they separate the units into houses, so you recover in a homelike setting, rather than a sterile hospital room. They had an amazing staff, full of very knowledgeable doctors and therapists, and I learned so much about myself during my stay there. If I could give it a million stars, I would. Newport was such a helpful and worth it choice for my recovery. I was provided with great care no matter the time of day or night. My family therapist moe, helped my parent and I start to grow a relationship I never thought id have. My CC's were amazing people! Its really hard to go into residential knowing you wont be home for a long time, but all of my staff made it so much easier and fun. It makes a big difference when your staff and treatment team can have fun and want to be there with all of you so thank you guys for that! The food i will say i struggled with. It wasn't the best tasting or most diverse menu but some days it was pretty good. All of the teachers at Newport are amazing. They make learning fun and relaxed while also still encouraging you to get your work done. I was scared to go to residential but Newport was such a great experience for me and has helped me through things I thought I couldn't even ever live with. I would definitely recommend Newport to any adolescent or family looking to find healthy and helpful treatment with mental health.

Genuinely a great experience. I received a lot of the help I’ve needed for years. The family therapy was very helpful with Gloria in creating a better communication system between me and my parents so far. The food was good when Ben made it, but it wasn’t the most balanced. Overall, the living space and treatment team was great and I hope you decide to send your adolescent here.

My experience was absolutely amazing. I was in the Mustang pod, October 25 (2023) - January 7 (2024). I was previously at a rehab in Minnesota and it was a unanimous decision that I needed more treatment. From the very first day I got there everyone was so welcoming, kind and accepting. I have severe allergies to egg and peanut so that also gives me really bad food anxiety. The nutritionist there was so so helpful and made sure I always had a fulfilling meal, from Breakfast to evening snack to the food I have to eat before breakfast (meds). Since I was in the substance abuse pod, we were able to go off site to NA/AA meetings. That helped me immensely. Kayla and Lisa the counselors for this pod are literally heaven sent. I love them so much and never made anything I talked about feel embarrassing or stupid. All the activities we had throughout the day like Gong, Equine, Music therapy, Tea making, Yoga, Gym, Nutrition, Adventure (S/O J.D), Art, Alumni, MMA (Love Vince, he's awesome.), and others I probably forgot to mention. For school, the teachers I had helped me a lot and made sure I was caught up and beyond where I needed to be in order to pass my sophomore year. (Ayeeee shout out Chris) There was quite a bit of drama, but nothing intolerable. The only thing I really disliked was how immature some of the staff was, making some people in my house (Dove) feel invalidated etc. That obviously isn't something that changed how my entire experience was but i was also one of those people they didn't 'like' for a little bit. I think they need to be more mindful when choosing who to hire. When we just have chill time in between activities, the CC's were so fun and easy to talk to. They all had such a huge impact on my stay. And the cooks!!! Holy crap. They kept me feeling included 3x a day every single day. When we had continental breakfast, they would make me egg free muffins, or the French toast bake egg free. And when it was something I just didn't like, I was able to eat a Sun butter and Jelly, Pasta, or cereal. I never went to bed or woke up hungry, unlike my other experience elsewhere. Overall it was such an eye opening experience and forever changed my life for the better. Also they did an amazing job administrating my Vivitrol injection monthly. One of the CC'S would go in there with me and hold my hand and talk to me. I'm sober to this day, (2 years coming up!!) Reading these reviews makes me upset, because in these programs you have to want to get better. You have to try and if you don't you're going to have a bad experience. It sucks at first, I would literally cry every week before, during, and after family therapy, but it's not because the therapist is bad. These 1 star reviews are solely personal. It has nothing to do with the staff. They're simply doing their job and making sure you are putting in the work to get better. Its not supposed to be fun. But if you put the hard stuff aside and focus on petting the horses, or making your tea bags when it's that time, you will find it to be tolerable. A good attitude = good outcomes.

I was a Patient there for approximately 9 months. A Wonderful Atmosphere and you’re surrounded by ppl who Really Care.
Especially the Counselors, My Counselor in Particular. Her Name was Jenn. A Wonderful Person and an Absolute Dear young Lady.
She was Extremely informative and Knows just how to make you feel Comfortable and Cared For.
I was going through a Rough patch, but looked Forward to my meetings with her every week and Every time I left her office, I ALWAYS FELT BETTER AND FELT LIKE SOMEONE CARED..
I can Honestly Say, Meeting Jenn was a Highlight of my Time there.
I only left there because I found a place Much Closer to my home out East.
But my Counselor there will always be close to my heart.
And I Thank Her Dearly.
All in all, a Wonderful Place to Get Clean and Stay Clean 👍🏻😁

I go to New Era, they just moved to a new location up the road from the other but it definitely is alot nicer of a building/office then they were at (not saying the last place was horrible, it just wasn't as "updated" I would say.) but the counselors there are awesome, my counselor is Shane, great guy really into helping you out which is nice for a change. All in all I would recommend this place.

Terrible service! Tell me im “DEHYDRATED” some of the staff are to busy on they phones. They are NICE but lazy been there 5 times NEVER AGAIN. Go to newington for better care! Nurse was to busy face timing not realizing i was in the waiting room front desk had to yell her name because she didnt even realize she had a patient. After finally being seen i over heard that same nurse being “reprimanded” GEE I WONDER WHY what a joke!
