My husband, Isiah was referred to Sharon Hospital after suffering a pretty severe finger fracture that required surgery. We were referred to Dr. Clark, and from the very beginning, the entire process was incredibly smooth. We saw the doctor, and by the very next day, surgery was already scheduled.
Dr. Clark is truly exceptional. He is kind, respectful, confident, compassionate, and took the time to make us feel comfortable every step of the way. Trusting someone to perform surgery is never easy, no matter how routine the procedure may be, but we immediately felt that Isiah was in excellent hands.
I also want to recognize the amazing staff who made this experience so positive. A heartfelt thank you to Jessica, Jill, Amy, and Wendy. Every single one of you went above and beyond. You were friendly, caring, patient, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. It meant so much to us to be treated with such kindness during a stressful time.
It's refreshing to see that there are still healthcare professionals who truly care about their patients. We are so grateful to Dr. Clark and the entire team for making us feel supported, informed, and comfortable throughout the entire process.
Thank you all for your outstanding care. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had the privilege of working with Mario Cocozza as my recovery coach, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Mario meets you where you are — no judgment, no scripts, just genuine care and real accountability. He checked in consistently, celebrated the wins, and helped me stay grounded through big life transitions.
What sets Mario apart is that he actually walks alongside you; he’s invested in your success as a person, not just a client. My recovery is stronger because of the work we did together. If you’re considering Mountainside and get the chance to work with Mario, take it.

Mario has been my sober coach for a couple months now and has been a great influence on my sobriety. Between months 7 and 8 I came close to a relapse and soon thereafter he became my sober coach. He carried me thru some very difficult times, losing both my grandparents in the span of two days, alongside a breakup and he was there to support me thru it the whole way. Checking in on me has been incredibly helpful. Encouraging me to go to AA meetings regularly, helping me get employment. He is truly dedicated to helping other people stay sober and it’s very clear he’s passionate about what he does. He always makes you feel seen, heard, validated and understood. I’ve never once felt judged or shamed by him, even when I was struggling. He truly understands what we’re going thru and it shows that he cares about his clients immensely.

MCCA new milford has helped me so much in so many aspects of my life. I personally would have never signed myself up for the IOP classes but im glad court mandated me to take them after I got pulled over drunk. Sue is such an amazing counselor and makes you feel comfortable to be able to talk about my issues and be able to work on them. I am a very stubborn person and she helped me realize that some of the things were not right. I still continue to see her once a month even after my program was done. I have recommended a few friends to go see her at MCCA because it could help them better their life and battle with issues just like it happened to me.

My class was court ordered, but it has almost been a blessing in disguise. I’ve learned so much, even though the curriculum they have to read out of and engage with the class, is a bit outdated, Alyssa and Sue still manage to bring the topics up to date to help you relate and retain. Sue, Alyssa and Jess…some of the most compassionate and understanding people you could ever ask and hope for going through this life choice of committing to better not only your health, your mental health. You’re with so many great people. Everyone conquering and learning about themselves and each other together. Hearing that you’re truly not alone, really is a powerful part of healing.
My time with MCCA may not have been by my choice, but I am grateful for the tools and personal will power it has given me to be the better version of myself. Sober.

I began my journey here years ago, and Rebecca H. completed my initial intake, and then became my clinician. From that very first interaction, it was clear that she approached her work with genuine care and intention—not just going through the motions, but truly seeing me as a person.

My 15 yr old son just came home after spending 2 months at Newport in Connecticut.
Prior to Newport , our family was at its lowest point. My son was hurting on the inside but the only way he could express it was violence towards himself or Us his parents. I knew the root was hurt because he experienced a lot of childhood trauma due to me being a severe alcoholic from the time he was born until I got sober when he was 10yrs old. After getting sober and healthy for myself, I tried it all to help him, therapy, psychiatrist, church. He continued to get worse. I finally found Newport and prayed a residential treatment program might help us.
It did!!!! Newport exceeded my expectations. I was skeptical at first after reading other google reviews but my experience was amazing. They didn’t just provide the tools and therapy and psychiatric help my son needed, They also provided all of that for us as his parents as well. It was an all around family therapy that I didn’t realize we desperately needed. They told me from the jump if I put in the work while my son was residing in their program putting in the work that’s when we would see a difference. So I did it I showed up virtually to every family therapy session. I also got one on one parent therapy sessions. These parent therapy sessions were a game changer. I learned how to parent differently. I learned how to speak to my son. I learned about his diagnosis.. Every child is different, but I grew up that there was only one way to parent and I was wrong! Since my son’s been home, he’s thriving. He’s going to his group therapy every single day in an Outpatient therapy that Newport helped us find in our area before being discharged.
We love each other, and we speak to each other with respect. I actually never thought that my son and his stepfather would ever have a healthy relationship and their relationship seems better than my own with my son. It has blown me away and the staff At Newport, not only exceeding my expectation, but saved my family. I hope whoever reading this knows I’m not blowing smoke. I am a real person with a real family that desperately needed help and when I sent my son to Newport and I followed all their instructions we got more help than I ever expected. I’m bad at explaining in words exactly what they did for us, but I encourage you to pray about it if your child is going through something and I also want to assure you, my son was safe and he came home happy and healthy for the first time in his life.

Bethlehem, CT | In the woodlands of the Southwestern Connecticut city of Bethlehem is the behavioral health treatment facility, Wellspring. You'll find a structured curriculum here that will help you find renewed fulf | Treatments Programs Payment Options | a beautiful and nurturing environment with staff that has changed many lives.
having had experience with a multitude of treatment facilities, Wellspring is like no other place. it offers stability and sanctuary for the residence there. treatment is an uncomfortable, confronting, and sometimes painful process, but those are the hills one climbs when healing.
Wellspring challenges the residents to step up as members of a community and be accountable for how their actions impact those around them. the plant & animal program there offers the residents a chance to pour love into other living creatures, helping mirror the love they are capable of pouring into themselves.
There are many challenges at any treatment facility, but I truly believe that Wellspring navigates those challenges better than most places. Not everyone leaves healed, for many its just the beginning of their journey. Many of the girls I was there with continued to struggle upon leaving, but we all reflect on what we learned at Wellspring with love and appreciation. It may not be for everyone but that doesn't discount the healing it has offered to countless families.
No place is perfect but my family and I will forever be grateful for Wellspring.

I highly recommend the residential Adolescent Intensive Program (AIP) at Wellspring CT to anyone looking for a healing, loving, intentional program focused on helping teenage females recover from -- or at least cope with -- anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I'll start by saying I'm a parent, not a resident, but I checked with my daughter (P.) and she agrees with everything I say in this review.
P. has struggled for years with depression and anxiety, and we tried various other programs before Wellspring. None of the other programs we checked out worked for us or for P. We have been very wary of residential programs because of everything we're read about the troubled teen industry (TTI). The difference between Wellspring and other programs lies in the genuine care provided by Wellspring staff, combined with a peaceful and beautiful living environment in which residents are given time and space to rediscover some joy in the world.
Key to all of this are the wonderful people who work with the residents. The director of Wellspring AIP, Joe Mancione, sets the tone for the entire program. He clearly genuinely cares for the residents he's working with. You have absolutely no sense that Joe or his team are in it for the money (unlike so many other programs we considered). P. has worked with a bunch of therapists, but we've never seen anyone come close to Joee in terms of connection, insight, and ability. His ability to lovingly challenge negative thoughts and emotions is breathtaking to observe, and P. truly flourished under his care.
Every staff member working with Joe in the program was honestly wonderful: gentle, caring, real. The residents live together in a big old farmhouse, surrounded by beautiful grounds. They cook together, clean, take responsibility for caring for farm animals (goats, chickens, a rabbit), play games, make music, meditate. The environment is one of calm beauty, and it was possible to watch new residents slowly come to the realization they were somewhere safe where they start to heal again.
If this all sounds a bit new-agey, I'd also say that the staff are all highly trained and very intentional in the environment they create. They really do know what they are doing.
If, like us, you despaired of ever finding a residential program that is genuinely caring and healing, take a look at Wellspring. P. and I are so happy that we did!

I was here from 1992-1994, wellspring made me feel safe and cared for, my therapist Joe B was amazing, so caring and understanding, and the staff specifically Heather and Andy were like role models for many of us...I learned so much here, how to care for animals, and garden. We went on trips, Cape Cod being my favorite and did things I never would have been able to do if it wasn't for Wellspring. As well as forming lasting friendships ...Thank you for giving the tools I needed to be the person I am today. You all are amazing ❤️

Their serene and home-like environment accommodates up to 12 residents at a time. | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This was one of my lifetime BEST decisions I've made. When I stepped in the front door I felt a spirit that welcomed me home. Eden Hill always felt like my home and it still does. I cannot give enough praise to the women who run Eden Hill. Such a beautiful, compassionate, wise, selfless group who were always reliable. HighWatch Recovery and Eden Hill should be very proud. Thank you for such a wonderful recovery experience. I've learned so many coping skills and truths about the disease of addiction. I'm not ashamed anymore.

Phenomenal. Professional, personal, tailor-made individualistic programming. Very much a family atmosphere. Once you settle in, you will never want to leave. If I could live at Eden Hill, I would do it in a heartbeat.
The term “staff” doesn’t adequately do justice to the Team of people who run and work at , Eden Hill in all capacities. They are personable, accommodating in anyway possible and loving. It is not possible to leave Eden Hill without feeling like your family has gained a few unofficial members.
The accommodations are fabulous and newly renovated. Therapeutic communal living helped me to increase individual personal responsibility while at the same time learning to live with and compromise (perhaps for the first time) With my housemates. The clients form a bond that is therapeutic and supportive. We learn to hold each other accountable for their actions in recovery and other communal living issues in a kind and, if necessary, mediated way.
Some of the tools I left with we’re effective communication, the development and use of boundaries, healthy confrontation (or “care-frontation”) and how to be a part of the solution instead of the problem. Most importantly I learned humility. I learned the world does not revolve around me and that to be successful in recovery and life, I need a support network which required working on my relationship skills.
My circumstances did not allow me to participate in the family recovery events; however, I witnessed my peers and their families participate with what appeared to be excellent results.
The Town-of Canaan is small, safe, charming, and has a large recovery network suitable for all ages. I have known many people that have gone through Mountainside treatment center in Canaan and then followed treatment at the extended care facility of Eden Hill Recovery Retreat in Canaan that have decided to remain in the area due to the Active and varied recovery community. Additionally, many of these individuals are still clean and sober and moving on with their lives. I myself am considering relocating to the Canaan area at some point in the near future for the above stated reasons.
I cannot recommend this place more highly. Eden Hill is like a second home to me which I will forever remember as a very necessary, nurturing, and healing time. I have met some of the most wonderful, loving women in situations much the same as my own that I will forever treasure as sisters and friends On a journey you couldn’t possibly understand unless you’ve been on it too.

Doctor Clark doesn't know how to communicate at all. She gave me a ADHD extended release medication , and when I asked her to lower the dose or take me off the extended release because it was too high, she refused. Now shes trying to prescribe me anxiety meds for my ADHD. As far as the counseling goes, all of the counselors are excellent and have helped me allot. If u want counseling for your ADHD, I'd definitely recommend coming here. As far as the doctor, I'd go elsewhere.

As a person that is afraid of doctor's due to a bad experience years ago I was very nervous to start going there especially with clinics having such negative attention throughout the years but I am so glad I have them a shot! The staff is absolutely amazing and they make you feel very comfortable. They are officiant, very thorough and go the extra mile every time to ensure your medical needs are met! What's even better is I get my lab's done, get my prescriptions and met with a dietician all in the same place! CHWC is literally a one stop facility which is absolutely amazing and saves me from running all over for different appointments or medical services! Give them a try I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Use Torrington for dental and I was very happy .. they were very good at explaining all the work that needs to be done and actually cared about my oral health . I have severe anxiety when going to any Drs appts and they made it very welcoming ... Definitely would recommend them .. I'm not a easy client either so me giving a perfect review is not done a lot for my experiences. All locations are amazing and I couldn't be happier finally .. canaan I use for primary care and behavioral health .. I'm happy to have community health and wellness be my safe place
