Dom was a GODSEND - when it came to my friends experience here, if it wasn’t for his incredible understanding and knowledge with her insurance ( I had hung up the phone so many times with them- I was hopeless in getting her treatment) he saved the day. Thankful for his help. Without him my friend would have given up and not wanted to get help, he made it so seamless. Thank you Dom and the incredible bayside team!!

Bayside Marin is an excellent treatment center. At first, I didn't want to go here, mainly because of negative reviews and hearsay from an acquaintance, and corporate ownership. But I quickly changed my mind. I came here devestated by a very traumatic year of my life, in as much of a mental health crisis as I was in a substance one. Throughout the length of my stay, I was treated with understanding, patience and compassion. The bulk of their program is cookie cutter evidence based, but high quality. The employees at Bayside really care about their work, and their clients, and because of this it didn't have a corporate feel, even though they're owned by Acadia. What made this stay extra special for me was the therapy and one on one conversations I had with staff. I had the honor and privilege of working with the best therapist I've ever seen. When there's a true match with therapy it can be magical, spiritual. I have transformed into a better version of myself because of the one on one work with my therapist, whose intelligence, wit, patience, and compassion helped me to rise above and shine, despite facing some extremely challenging triggers in residential this time. When you can't fully care about yourself, sometimes you can borrow someone else's faith in you until you're able to care about yourself a little more. By the end of my stay, I felt more confident and centered than I had in a long time. I also wanted to say, the tech supervisor helped guide me psychologically and spiritually as I faced various challenges at Bayside, and helped revive my interest in spirituality, meditation and awakening. I had the best spiritual and psychological support I could have asked for, which I thought would be impossible after being at Olympia House in 2022. (Both are good rehabs with their unique strengths and weaknesses. I learned a lot at both, but they're not directly comparable, OH is a little more unique in terms of approach and programming. Bayside was extra meaningful because of the particular therapist I worked with, the behavioral technician supervisor I mentioned and the particular clients I bonded with. They actually listen to client feedback and I watched them make numerous improvements over the three months I was there. With that said, there is room for further improvement. Clients are shuffled over to the main campus from detox with very little explanation of where to go and when, which leaves freshly detoxed clients confused, angry, and feeling disrespected. I've been told they're working on fixing this problem. Scheduling glitches do happen, but that's true of any medium or large rehab. They do their best. And also, sometimes communication can be a little complicated between departments. No place is perfect. Gorgeous campus. Food was great. I was told this was a rehab for rich people who valued aesthetics over content, but that's not what I found here. They have some incredible talent working for them and client socioeconomic backgrounds are mixed. Last. I would encourage people, strongly, to ask to change their therapist if the initial assignment isn't a match. I did, and it made all the difference in my stay.

This is an absolutely wonderful facility for detox programs. The staff is kind and incredibly attentive and the food is amazing. Heartwood provides a very relaxed environment for you to undergo a medically assisted detox taper program that I personally found highly affective. My withdrawal symptoms were minimal and the taper itself wasn’t challenging at all. One of the nurses, Meredith, is absolutely incredible in her attention to your specific needs and feelings. She is very empathetic and understanding in addition to being friendly and easy to talk to casually while receiving your treatment. She is an absolute professional and excels at what she does. In my opinion she made the difference in bumping the review from four stars up to five. My girlfriend landed at Heartwood after a relapse and she was in bad shape. She said that every single person who works there was incredibly kind, understanding and accommodating. They do everything they can to make your detox as painless as possible. To her, it wasn’t just a place to dry out - she had many insightful conversations about recovery with the staff there (probably every interaction). Unfortunately, she had been to a couple of other detoxes and nothing compares to this place. Very nice & clean house, nourishing & delicious food, and she couldn’t say enough kind words about the people who work there.

I can honestly say that I have never had a counselor that has been so educated and knowledgeable! Reflections saved my life. The entire program is incredible. The staff is truly amazing, the owners, the directors, the nurses, the program managers and assistants, the chefs, every single one of the takes time to personally care about each of clients individually, we are seen and heard and they truly love and care about us as people. Even in life after reflections I know I can call any time day or night if needed, they will remember me and help me even if it’s just a moment where I only need someone to listen. There is no other program like this and they go out of their way to really strive for the success stories the first time around. And if it takes another round they ensure you are a priority and know it’s a matter of life or death . They will do everything in their power to save your life and make a person want to be saved. And the bond you form with your roommates can last a lifetime. Mine have become my family. I will forever owe the life I have today which is happiness and loving myself to Living at Reflections. If anyone is suffering from any type of addiction or mental health illness this is the place to find yourself again, the person you deserve to be and love. And you’ll never have to feel alone ever again. I am forever thankful, grateful and so very blessed to be an alumni.

Those struggling and/or in need of help, Reflections is the perfect place. Reflections is differentiated in a few ways. First, their approach is holistic; it's about more than just getting sober. The program includes reading and educational sessions, group discussions/therapy, individual therapy, and a personalized recovery plan. The professionals at Reflections are fantastic with a wide range of issues, including co-occurring disorders. And my program was tailored to involve my loved ones as much or as little as I preferred. Second, as much as it's possible, it's a fun and enjoyable experience. The food is phenomenal, the facilities are beautiful and well-maintained, and the environment is friendly and collegial (with both staff and fellow residents). Third, and most importantly, Reflections is one of the (if not the only) independently owned facilities in the area. This means that staff optimizes around what's best for the resident, and not what's just best for insurance. They truly care about each individual far more than the bottom line, which is apparent in both treatment issues as well as collaborative payment/insurance resolutions. I have two pieces of constructive feedback. One, I recommend stronger communication channels and coordination between the clinical staff and the operations team. I can only imagine how challenging it is to handle the ever-shifting complex operations at Reflections (e.g., living arrangements, staffing, scheduling, speakers, unforeseen individual needs), so it's no easy task. But occasionally there was some confusion on schedule changes with session content and/or timing. However, we were able to quickly resolve these issues as they were raised. And second, my arrival/onboarding was a bit scattered and piecemeal. I did arrive last minute, and my situation was unique (as previously discussed with staff, I moved between the McClay and Simmons facilities after a couple of days). But I would recommend that one staff person be assigned the holistic onboarding process that's completed/reviewed as the resident is acclimating to the program. Those two issues are minor, but I wanted to be comprehensive in my feedback. I built very strong relationships there, ones that I continue to value and maintain months later. I get together with my fellow residents, and I love seeing staff members at meetings and events around the Bay. I feel like I have a new lease on life. I am not happy that I spent time in a facility such as this, but it being necessary, I am thrilled that I chose Reflections for this brief chapter of my (new and much improved) life.

New Bridge offers an exceptionally talented team of, staff members, addiction specialist, and clinician's who've helped me address my co-occurring substances and mental health issues. The New Bridge environment (residential treatment facility, & extended satellite sober living environment), are safe and clean, and provide the type of space where I was able to successfully focus on, addiction & mental health curriculums, group therapy, as well as personalized "one-on-one" therapy/counseling sessions. Additionally, the treatment facility environment is supportive of "peer-to-peer" feed back & coping skills, "focus" and "affirmation tools".., all (to which I found) have great value in early recovery...! What I enjoyed most about New Bridge is the dignified and professional way each staff member treated me, and treated me as valued (from the newest staff member, to the kitchen staff, to nurse staff, maintenance staff, the on-site doctors, to group staff, the clinical coordinator staff, the assistant director, up to the director). These staff members, all, display a "real human" level of authenticity and care...! I'm truly happy that I chose New Bridge..!!! I will offer this thought to anyone who is wondering if this is the right place, or not..., "if you have a true and real desire to gain recovery, everything you will need to assist you, to help you focus, guide & support you in the process of recovery.., can be found at New Bridge..!!!" I highly recommend this amazing treatment facility, and hope you do not waste another second deciding on when to start your "road to recovery" at New Bridge - because it starts the moment you say "Yes"..!!! "Thank You New Bridge...!!!" Mike D. 19 Months, 20 Days Sober, and counting..... :) (from date of post)

the reason for four stars, not five is because the treatment they give here wasn't structured enough for me, i was only there for a week or two back in like 2023?i think? idk lol. and it was just too fast paced and kinda jump at the issue typa treatment. it was honestly amazing and im sorry i ran away what 3 times? the food, the freedom, the field trips, ugh it was amazing. i did end up getting help at a locked down facility but yeah, if i weren't as mentally ill as i was id totally come back

As someone who got out of Paradigm a month ago. I think that it is a great place, yeah no treatment center is going to be fun, but if you were to send your child to any place. Send them to Paradigm. I love all the staff, the schedule is great. Unlike other places, Paradigm allows you to express yourself freely. You can wear whatever you like, say whatever you like. And they really try to make the place enjoyable for every client there, as much as they can. Obviously it is not a perfect place, no treatment center in my opinion is. But I really did improve in Paradigm, I had great family therapy, improved my relationship with my father. I had a great one on one therapist, and I made a lot of friends- not only with clients but also with staff. I could freely be myself, and no one judged me because we were all in the same boat. Not only that, the rooms are comfortable, the chef has a cute dog, the food is good, and the outings are so fun. Once again, if you are going to send your kid to a treatment center, send them to Paradigm.

I just discharged from the Atherton house. It was a lovely place. As a woman who has experienced so much trauma in my life (of all kinds) I have a hard time feeling safe especially around strangers and in a new place. I have to admit that I felt very safe just like I was at home. I was at home; Avery Lane Atherton facility was my home. Temporarily. I made friends with all of the other women (clients). The other women were all friendly and welcoming to me. It's never easy going to rehab but if it was; this place is a good way for it to feel that way. The therapists are highly educated and skilled. My therapist (Summer LanFranco) helped rewire my brain in literally 60 days. She has to be God sent because she works miracles. I'm a walking miracle in the sense that I am actually living on my own and I am not completely depressed or in a crisis. I never thought I could do it. I didn't know how. And that is okay because I don't have to have all the answers or any answers for the matter just the want to and today I do want to because I now know it's possible. I used to want to die I mean I really didn't want to live. I was so scared and stressed out about being alone and scared. I'm not scared anymore either. I mean there were times when I looked at her sideways and even talked some shit with the other women (nothing horrible just the usual bitching lol) but I always had to take it back because she was so good at what she does she was helping me when I didn't even expect or know what was happening. She is so talented I have to give her credit simply because I pay my debts now lol and she has earned it. I used to think that I was going to die by suicide or a fentanyl overdose but I don't think like that anymore. I have to of course give all the Glory to the Good Lord for if it was not supposed to be it would not so thank you heavenly Father for always keeping me in your favor. Thank you Avery Lane. Ps You can't watch any television except for Saturday night movie night where you are alotted 1 movie that the ENTIRE HOUSE MUST AGREE ON And it can't be anything entertaining (sex drugs vulgar language drinking gang activity or anything that is too sad depressing reminds you of something bad or triggers you THERES ALWAYS THAT ONE WHO MANIPULATES THE STAFF TO GET WHAT THEY WANT. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS but you might get to go to Peet's coffee on Saturday not guaranteed though also no candy or junk food or soda WHATSOEVER They have chefs Mary was my absolute favorite She would bake us cakes cookies and goodies Thank you Mary She made it easy for me to be there The most inspiring and uplifting woman to have small chat with Chef Mary really deserves recognition for accommodating the women and what we wanted Anne Well I am so sick of tuna, mushroom soup and curry or artichokes I'm never eating them again I don't understand why we had a chef there who made food that I could have made just as crappy as I could(tuna sandwiches so basic no pickles no nothing). Not to mention the same bagels and salmon every week. We ALL DREADED ANNE EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT SHE DIDN'T LEAVE ANY DISHES FROM COOKING BUT WE WOULD HAVE RATHER DISHES THAN BLAND BASIC FOOD. Not to mention that I don't eat shell fish or fish and those things were prepared at least 4 or 5 times a week so that's how many meals I would go without because accomodations were just too much to ask for of the chef who has 3 hours to make a bunch of tuna sandwiches for 5 women who secretly despise it. Thank you Chef Derek for the most delicious. WHOOPY!!!! Pies I've ever eaten in my life. Other than that..... Oh yes the Two Recovery counselors both named Lizzie. Those are the two names that you need to know. Natalie Judit and of course SUMMER are going to teach you how to grow mentally emotionally spiritually and physically. By the time you leave you will be a whole new woman. So pay attention in their groups.

I recently completed a 30 day program at Avery Lane, and I can t express enough gratitude for the support and care I received from the Recovery Counselors and Nicole, my therapist. From day one, the Recovery Counselors created a safe and compassionate environment, offering encouragement and guidance that truly helped me stay focused on my sobriety journey. They were always there to listen, answer questions, and provide the tools I needed to navigate my personal challenges.Nicole, my therapist, was instrumental in my recovery. Her expertise, empathy, and tailored approach made a huge difference in my healing process. She helped me work through difficult emotions, recognize underlying issues, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. I felt truly seen and understood, which was incredibly empowering during my 30 days there. Thanks to the team at Avery Lane, I now have a solid foundation to continue building on my sobriety journey. I highly recommend this center to anyone seeking a supportive and dedicated team to guide them toward recovery.
