This place has been such a beautiful resource for me and so many others. While it's not perfect, and does have areas of improvement just like any establishment does, I can truly say I am so grateful for the staff, programs and resources I have met and received while I have been here. They will help you get back your feet, but YOU have to be willing and able to WORK the steps to get to where you want to be. Both Tammy's are amazing, Mary is awesome, and so is Lilly! Initially I hadn't realized I went to the wrong building, I was supposed to be at Central Kansas Mental Health Center but somehow ended up at this hospital, luckily for me Matilda M. Calvin was so helpful and kind the entire time! Not once did I feel unwelcome and she has an air of warmth to her, she helped redirect me to the building I was originally supposed to be at and saved me a huge headache having to drive back home for no reason! A great person all around, all the staff were very friendly as well!

Great place to get mental health services from young to old! The secretary is super nice and very accommodating, they can get you in quickly and they have super nice therapists. My child goes to Emily the therapist there and she absolutely loves her!! I would definitely suggest or recommend Emily for a young child who is having difficulties with anxiety or depression . She does a great job working with them and can get my little one to open up where she doesn't open up for hardly anyone!! They offer several different ways of therapy including but not limited to play therapy !!

I am angry that tiffany huxman works here. She ruined my life when I saw her at newton prairie view. She told me to cut my hours at work. All that did was make the family angry at me and caused my house to go into foreclosure. She didn't listen to me when I told her it doesn't work cutting my hours at work. When I cut my hours at work due to tiffany huxman badgering me and peer pressuring me then I was disrespected by my family which only raised my blood pressure. Besides that tiffany huxman is a jerk and when I would give her my honest answer she yelled at me for being direct. Tiffany huxman also prescribed welbutrin on top of caplyta which raised my blood pressure. Tiffany huxman is dangerous and shouldn't be a nurse.

It was very much a tough love facility, which is the only way to get through to me. I didn't have any problems personally with the staff (other than my big personality clashing with staff's big personalities at times), they were all very nice to me. But they don't take no shit either, so don't pick this place trying to stir up trouble. You will not get along well. The kitchen staff is SO loving, I wish I was able to eat more while I was there!! It always looked so delicious and had huge helpings. I like this facility out of all other 7 times I've been elsewhere, because it is a dual diagnosis. They really give you curriculum that helps you to understand why we think and are this way, rather than the basic curriculum. Thank you all staff for being a helpful stepping stone in my story.

I love the dccca family! From the inpatient staff, the outpatient staff, the child care people to the dccca family Preservation people they are all amazing! AND A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO THE KITCHEN STAFF! the food is to die for! At dccca you become one big happy family I enjoyed every minute my kids and I where there I would do it ALLL OVER AGAIN! As someone who was terribly frightened of starting on the path to mental health recovery, Comcare made it very easy. The workers were patient with my inexperience and my intake was a breeze. My greatest fear was that I'd be treated as an attention-seeker, or foolish for having done my research. Instead, my intake practitioner was thoughtful and receptive, and agreed with my basic coverage of things; though I am not a skeptic of therapy, it was not what I needed. Referral to a medication consultation was quick and painless, as was that appointment. Above all, everything has been immensely affordable -- and more importantly, Comcare doesn't pressure you to cough up. I've never once been made to pay in office, or even asked to. I get my bill in the mail, and pay when I am able.

Wichita Detox felt like the reset button I didn’t know I needed. The whole vibe there was calm but no-nonsense — they didn’t sugarcoat things, but they weren’t harsh either.
