Very helpful, except the hours are wrong, got there at open (5am) but they wouldn't let us in until 5:15 they were supposed to change hours from 5-1;30 but kept the morning hours 5:15/5:30

I got stationed there after tech school 1969 - 1971 and loved it before going to Vietnam. The fishing was great. We lived in Dover FoxCroft for a little over a year then moved into base housing at Dow Air Force base and left for Vietnam end of October 71. People were great and really enjoyed those 2 years.

Unfortunately at one point I was a prisoner here, as in I made a bad decision. On that note Charleston really helped they weren't treating me like a criminal they treated me like some one who just needed guidance.
They have a job to do it's our faults we are in there; weather its we actually committed the crime, or just being around the wrong people at the wrong time.
Those are the decisions we made they helped me realize that. That being said some crimes committed, (having heard the stories, and deducing a percentage of them lie to you and some actually do tell the truth.) were committed for reasons justified. justified is not always law abiding.
This facility has good people creating and working with inmates to have good programs in place and jobs to work and make money. Remember in a place like prison the experience is what you make it so if your negative your outcome is negative if you are positive your outcome is positive.

I completed the 28 day program at the farm last year, and overall had a good experience. Most of the staff are extremely helpful and really do care! The unfortunate part is like many others have experienced, they try to cram so much information in your head in 28 days that’s it’s almost impossible to retain any of it after the first week or two. I don’t remember much of my stay there. It was an opportunity to clean myself up, and meet some good people though. I would recommend it if you’re willing to work hard, can handle many hours of group therapy, and you are willing to stay clean. To date, I haven’t relapsed, so it must have worked! Also, if you wish to get involved in medically assisted treatment they don’t offer that there. So I would advise to start there before hand so you can have that extra tool to help while you’re there. I started m.a.t after I completed the program and that’s also been a help. Good luck!

In 2006 this was the 1st rehab I had ever been to. It was The Farm back then. Best experience ever. I loved how we had to study our addiction. Yes i relapsed several times after my time there, but because of what I learned there, when I was finally ready, I was able to get clean.

Previously had Sabrina Daigle as my case manager for about 5 years (?). She was and is amazing. Very straight forward, genuinely cares and will push you to try when she knows you can succeed. Kayla Michaud is also great; she's another that genuinely cares about her patients. She's kind and is a great listener. Currently seeing Robin and she is absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, intelligent, and uses many different techniques. She'll find what works for you if its the last thing she does. The receptionist in Madawaska is so, so sweet. Myra in Fort Kent is also a sweetheart. I have no complaints about any of the incredible ladies at AMHC.

I've been to the ER at this hospital for a personal injury and I was also there in support of a family member who was having a heart attack. I have only praise for this facility. As a patient, I was treated with dignity and respect, I was heard and I received excellent care in a very clean facility.
As a family member with a loved one who was experiencing a serious health condition, I was very pleased with the care my family member received and this hospital's recognition that he needed to be transferred to Northern Light's Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
I wouldn't hesitate to go there again if the need arose. Thank you to the staff of the Mayo Hospital for the care they provide every day.

Better than the Elliot!!!! I was in Maine moving and ended up going into labor and I am so grateful that I did. I had Dr. Wagner as my doctor and she was absolutely amazing.. it was a new place and my plan did not go as I wanted but they helped me through it and helped me push out my BIG baby.. the nurses both day and night were also incredible. I cannot fully explain how grateful I am for this place. I can but I would be writing for days. Someone that I consider family needed my help. The day started with me driving from Boston to NH, when I found him we went to Portland Maine. I called detox after detox and all were packed. However, I was given wrong information when they said take him to Maine Health. We went there first and waited over an hour only to be told they would not give him a bed until one of the detoxes opened.
This was very disappointing. However, with the grace of God, I found Saint Mary’s in Lewiston Maine. So we drove another hour there and finally succeeded. The security, nurse and Doctor we talked to were phenomenal. It ended with an emotional hug and hope of recovery now linger.
Before I left, the guy at the desk even stopped me and handed me a piece of paper with the number to this department on it. I wish I wasn’t so far because I would have came back to visit.

I have been receiving treatment here for 7 yrs. I highly recommend this facility as the staff, nurses, counselors and doctors are all amazing! They treat ppl like ppl!

Staff is always caring friendly and helpful. They always make you feel comfortable and genuinely want to see everyone do the best we possibly can. Also if you are someone who doesn't do doctors or hospitals, Dr. Pi will change your mind! Every single person I've talked to has had nothing but awesome things to say about him.
