I followed their program and the steps and am now going on 4 months sober. And many many more to go. I quickly grew attached to the staff which is wild. Because hated myself at that time. But I found help and happiness and companionship while my time in the program. And then found myself. You may walk in like a lamb. “I did” but I promise you, you will walk out like a lion if you want too. It’s up to you. And it starts with you. And casco bay is there for you. Day and night. No place is perfect but the night he went there I was worried sick by the end of his stay I can say I put trust into the staff there. It is a nice facility for what it is. I liked how the kids were able to go outside and do some activities other than being confined to a room. My son mentioned he was cold one night and a staff member put blankets in the dryer so they were warm for him. Way to go seriously deserves recognition. This job is not easy! I also liked how there was a plan set in place for my son and zoom meetings were set up for me to attend when I couldn’t make it down there because I live over 3 hours away. The reception staff and security guards who met me at the front were all welcoming and nice. The only real complaint I have that made me a little uneasy was that my son had a cup of water dumped over his head by another patient and hurt his foot outside both times I was not contacted nor his dad of these events. I am addicted to opiates(pills) & have not abused them since I've been on clinic, I also gave up drinking alcohol when got on clinic. The "dosing" nurses are great nurses,. They're very friendly, care n have lots of patience to deal with addicts everyday. The receptionist(s),doctor & councilors are awesome too. I've had many councilors since been here & always been happy them. They not only provide a bed they also provide help with medication issues, groups focusing on using coping skills and meditation techniques, daily clinician visits and also home cooked dinners nightly. The bottom line is the entire team works in such a way as to show an act of compassion and understanding in a society that tends to minimize a person’s mental health crisis situation. It is a safe haven because it is nonjudgmental. After years of trying to sort out my license, the people here were beyond helpful and knowledgeable of the process—they explained everything upfront in terms of cost and expectations. Trina was especially helpful, along with the rest of the staff. I felt seen as a human and truly appreciated their welcoming and positive attitude—I felt I really benefited from taking their program overall. This is really refreshing, after running into what feels like so many roadblocks in an already difficult situation to deal with for many. I am more than grateful that I chose SENHS to take my courses, it felt they actually cared and were very helpful and efficient with the steps along the way. Meredith 10 months ago I was a client at SENHS from December 2020 - April 24th 2021. I did the Arc program and then I did Turning Point. We had a Covid outbreak, staff was professional and helped everyone find some place to go and even housed some of the clients until Covid was out of the building. The 5 months that I was there every staff member was professional and cared about both the clients and workers. I cannot say enough good things about them. Couldn't ask for a better group of people all around. I was genuinely accepted and treated with dignity by both residents and staff. 28 days flew by and I was reminded of how \|enjoyable life can still be even if you are sober. They let us smoke cigarettes on the patio outside and the food was outstanding and many times restaurant quality. I'll always have fond memories of this place. I can only hope that those that I met there are winning their battle with addiction or at the very least not giving up. They were all good souls that deserve happiness just as much as anyone else. Ill keep it short. Providers here aren't bad at all but practice seemed to cut back over time on each session in the 4.5 years I was a patient working most of time as a truck driver to this date still. I actually did get well for a most of time but at end lost it on everyone quitting practice and burning bridges with them. It's goes both ways as far my how I was and my thoughts with experience there. 4 to 5 stars first 3 years and 3 at end of tenure as a patient. I blame myself for some of it and should have kept a journal on my progression.
