I have had multiple CT scans at ACH and Thayer without issue. I had the misfortune of scheduling my scan today at the cancer center. My IV was not started until the scheduled time for my scan. I was then informed they do not have a point of care monitor for creatinine and blood would have to be sent to the lab. This delayed my scan for over an hour.
It is absurd for a large hospital to inconvenience all patients requiring IV contrast because they are unwilling to purchase an item costing about $2500. I do not know how MaineGeneral could more clearly state their lack of care for patients.

They are too pretty, young, thin (perfect looking actually), smart, efficient and expedient to be all from Augusta Maine!!
I know the warm, fuzzy RN's of the past are long gone when they were replaced by med techs, but a real RNs training includes communication skills. I think you can probably remedy the situation by plugging them into a You Tube video!
On a positive note, concerairge Jamie at the entrance has such a beautiful smile you can't help feeling an uplifting boost when you enter, then check in dude Paul always makes me want to laugh as he is trying, usually unsuccessfully to do a women's job - until his nap time!
Next we are given a clipboard with busywork to do that Noone reads and a beeper. Skip the "take a number"and go to beepers like a resturaunt! Oh so efficient!. But despite the glowing reviews (their site), I find the customet service "lacking" when I descend to the abyss below and become a cog in a wheel on their (well oiled) machine!

I love this place. The nurses are all great. My oncologist is great. Katelyn is the best whatever she is, I can't even remember her job title since I met her when I was all loopy in the hospital. But basically if you ever need anything she's the one who will get it all sorted out even if she has to talk to fifty other people first. The infusion chairs are super comfy. Everyone is so helpful.

I had to complete a zoom class for something that happened over 7 years ago and was dreading it as I finally had the time to with two small children at home one with autism—Amy Kimball made the process tolerable. The only people that care about you are the nurses everyone's does not care about you and dont treat you like a person. If it wasnt for me I wouldnt succeed the counselor is there do not help I work anywhere from 40 to 60 hours a week at my job and I go to my treatment every day and have a group once a month I missed one group one time and the counselor told me I do not take my treatment serious and that I don't care and my attitude is horrible... I have had my job for over 3 years working overnight all night and I'm a mother. I work everyday I go to treatment every day and I do my groups I made a mistake one time and the counselor writes me up and puts me under contract and tells me that I don't take my treatment serious. (WHAT REALLY UPSETS ME IS ALL MY DRUG TEST ARE CLEAN)and this counselor does not know me that is not right and because of this I will be switching and I pay cash....
