There is no right or wrong way to go through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. But I can honestly say that the Brook Retreat has a revolutionary grasp on reaching the broken hearted. The level of care and accountability this program has for its clients is in-measurable from my past experiences. I had the pleasure of staying on an extra 6 months as a house manager at one of the phase down houses. I can honestly say the experience has sincerely changed my perspective of addiction and of myself. It was truelly amazing to be apart of this community and continue to be a member of an Alumni fellowship which is growing in its Miracles.

Saved my life. Not your typical recovery house. Martha, the program director with her hand-picked staff identify with the residents because they know what we're going through. Most, if not more are graduates of the house themselves. They help you face addiction head on, accept it, cope with it so you can heal. There's something magical about the place and Gosnold would be wise to remember that. It's not uncommon for former graduates to request a visit to remember how Miller House helped them recover and stabilize their lives to become contributing members of society. This house works if you are serious about taking back your life. God bless Martha and her unrelenting staff. They never gave up on me. - Jonathan, a grateful recovering alcoholic.

Wonderful people! I've been to 3 clinics total & thos is one by FAR the best! Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt.. NO the staff will NOT put up with your BS & not attending groups, using etc. WILL eventually get you discharged! Why would they want people around that aren't trying at all?? So of they were in it for the money then don't you think they'd keep EVERYONE no matter what! I think us addicts forget that WE GOT OURSELVES THERE! It's not supposed to be all peaches & cream, otherwise we'd NEVER want to get off Methadone! It's NOT ment for "lifetime" use! Take from me get to where you're comfortable & slowly, SLOWLY come down! The longer you are on this medication the Worse it'll be to get off later! WE DO RECOVER! 2/21/19 clean date

I can honestly say the clinic saved my life. There are a few really good people that work there that I have been able to meet and have been with me through my journey of getting sober and never gave up on me. The head Nurse Crystal Amazing, she might seem hard on you at time but, it's only because she truly cares. Then I have worked with Charlotte and she will do what ever she can to help you meet your goals. Now I only have one counselor that's mine Pam and there are no words to describe how wonderful she is . I have also gotten to know Dan through classes/ & also with him covering our group and he is another Amazing person who has so much to share. Also we can't forget: The girls at the front dest they are Amazing and make you feel comfortable and in the right place. With out this place I couldn't proudly say I have been clean and sober for 2 years now... (Clean Date: August 2019)-Also Always Remember & know there is a better way!!

I recently had a loved one stay at McLean for over two weeks and could not be more grateful for the help provided. Jess, our case manager, went above and beyond to guide us through the process and next steps in finding duel treatment programs and communicated daily to update me. Also, when my loved one felt like they weren t being heard and diagnosed accordingly, Dr. Q and the staff listened to my concerns and took the time to take a more thorough look at the situation and were patience with us. Navigating the healthcare system can be a nightmare, and McLean Southeast allowed me to advocate for my loved one and I felt like they understood that it takes a village - of staff, patient, and family advocates, to get the best results. If you feel like something isn t working, take the time to (kindly and gracefully) speak up and explain your perspective so that it can guide the staff, who are working hard to do their best for multiple patients, can have the chance to take a closer look. I feel as though this facility genuinely cares, and my loved one constantly commented on how nice the staff and the patients were. I found it very easy to contact him, and really appreciated their structure and ease of communication. Highly recommend.
