I finally registered for VA Healthcare and with some doubt, made an appointment for a physical. I was completely surprised and impressed with the whole experience. The staff was knowledable, friendly and showed concern. They were all articulate and spent considerable time with me. The facility was clean and modern. There is no right or wrong way to go through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. But I can honestly say that the Brook Retreat has a revolutionary grasp on reaching the broken hearted. The level of care and accountability this program has for its clients is in-measurable from my past experiences. I had the pleasure of staying on an extra 6 months as a house manager at one of the phase down houses. Been on liquid handcuffs for 3+ years finally starting to decrease my dose, this place saved my life they re awesome and don t treat you like an addict. My only complaint is they should make it easier for take homes. I don t understand why they don t give everyone 1 weeks worth and if the patient messes up then take them off. I feel like if I git take homes right away I could have winged myself off. Because yes Dr s know a lot and a lot more than me but I know for a fact I know my body better than any doctor. I m a grateful patient there and I m not sure where these photos were taken but it s certainly NOT Brockton CTC! Brockton CTC is in SERIOUS need of an interior update. There are NO spacious Group room s, NO spacious dosing waiting area(we line up around corners & halls), and dosing is ABSOLUTELY NOT PRIVATE like these photos are portraying-Others stand right behind your back and can watch!I m a very grateful patient there and very thankful for the amazing services provided there! Staff was great except 1 wont give people that dont miss a group and do what they have to do there out dates after being there almost 30 days but will give the guys that dont do anything i mean nothing there out date after 14 days and lets them leave in 21 to 25 days he should treat everyone the same. Other than that all the staff was great for my 35 days there some go above and beyond when they dont have to the food absolutely sucks for the amount of money our insurance pays for us to be there the food should be way better. The nurses on unit 2 are more than great courtney Amanda shawna meghan to name a few amd the rest of them treated me with the up most respect give them a raise. The groups could be a little better seemed like we were learning the same stuff over and over each day. But other than that if i was to ever have a relapse again i would definitely go back there....i give 4.5 stars out of 5..

I agree with the other commentor. There is no private dosing and This is not the interior of the Brockton CTC!!!not even close!!! This place looks 4-5 times larger and much more modern. The only picture that is accurate is the picture of the outside of the building!!!
