My experience at the hospital was very positive. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the communication throughout my visit was excellent. I was also impressed with the modern X-ray machine they used; it was clearly more advanced than traditional equipment. The registration staff were also very cooperative, especially Eman in the registration department, who managed patient services with outstanding professionalism. Overall, the team was wonderful, and I highly recommend this hospital.

I contacted GW via email, and was contacted back by Lindsay. She was able to schedule a time to come in. Unfortunately I can't remember the young woman who assisted doing my intake today but she was absolutely wonderful. I had a lot of questions and concerns and she made me feel comfortable and answered everything I wanted to know. Coming from a DV situation, I definitely felt safe and felt that my concerns about my child's well being were addressed. Im not sure why so many bad reviews, my experience was the complete opposite. The facility was clean and well maintained. Smaller than I would have expected, however they did not disappoint.

It’s my second day home after the procedure starting on Monday and leaving Thursday. I haven’t had nausea, sweated or had diarrhea once since the procedure starrted and up until now. I’m moving around perfectly fine. The only problem I have is the restless legs which they give you meds for when you leave. I was coming off 24 mg suboxone I’ve been stuck on. If your want to be clean and actually get that dopamine feeling just listening to music get to this place as fast as possible. Don’t end up dead like the thousands we’ve seen already

I love this place if you utilize everything they offer you will start to see a difference in your life. I was in a bad situation and was so afraid of what other people think that it prevented me from leaving stop it. Don’t be afraid take a chance on yourself if you can’t for yourself how can you expect someone else too. Plus they have the best counseling / peer coach program that’s there for those who need a little something extra they want to see you put your best foot forward

This service has saved my life and many others.
From my perspective, if Bio-Med can not help you, then perhaps you're not ready to be in recovery.
This facility has many great social services available to those who need them or seek help in conquering SUD.
Patience is necessary when being treated here, but I've not ever had to wait an inappropriate amount of time for services at this location. That is subjective to each person's perspective. I encourage clients to remember how long and difficult life is/was before enrolling in the program at this facility. Waiting on a plug or hook-up could take all day plus some time compared to a mediocre wait at a caring facility such as this.
It's safe here and full of folks that truly care. I hope this will encourage even 1 person to exit their struggle and begin to recover with Bio-Med's assistance.

I didn’t think I had time for recovery, but the flexible schedule and awesome staff made it possible! They respected my culture and never made me feel ashamed. Some of the group talks felt a little fast, but I learned so much. My family joined for a session too, which helped a lot. I feel stronger now, not alone.

PNLH is an amazing facility with amazing people who genuinely care about your wellbeing and recovery. I stayed in July/August and my experience was amazing. This facility is, by far, the best in Michigan for mental health services. Something they offer that I've never received before was a case manager. Helps schedule appointments, checks in every month, arranges appropriate services based on what is most helpful to you, and provides resources on absolutely anything you may need. My case manager Abby even offered to help me on miscellaneous tasks such as going through/organizing paper stacks, basically anything you can think of, they are willing to help you with at the office. Case manager Abby even picked up clothing donations for my children as we had fallen on hard times. She has so many resources and she's been like an angel helping me manage things to make it easier on me so I can focus on therapeutic work. It's quite amazing the service I've received from Easter Seals. The psychiatrist, Dr. Linsk, is the most knowledgeable and caring doctor I've ever had. He takes time at every appointment to listen to me. He keeps up to date on the latest research. He's even been the first to give me new diagnosises that go beyond generalized anxiety, depression, ect. As for therapy, I had the pleasure of meeting the best therapist I've ever had, Emma. Emma has since left as she was an intern, however, my success story continued as I met my next therapist. I've been to at least 6 other mental health centers and I've never been given any other therapy besides basic CBT talk therapy. My first meeting with the new therapist, I tell her I've been working on this same issue for 10 years, she selflessly said she'd like me to try another therapist who is trained in Exposure Therapy as it may be a better help for me. That other therapist came right in to the room with us, talked, and we all agreed to try this and that I can go back to regular therapy after completion. They even offer group therapy but I've not used that service. The therapists here are young and fresh and are educated on the latest research. They have a drive of providing quality care that I've never experienced before. The whole office is the top standard of mental health services. My only adverse experiences have come from the front desk. I am aware of how hard it is to deal with patients at the front desk. They always have to handle the problems and are looked to for a solution. I've witnessed patients not speaking very kindly to the ladies at the front desk, however, I have a few issues with them myself. Any time I come into the office, I wait at the counter behind glass while nobody acknowledges my presence. I listen to their personal stories as the whole waiting room can hear them. Someone from the back usually pops in after me standing in front of the window for 5 minutes and finally assist me. I've been forgotten to be checked in twice. I've had therapists calling me from inside their office to ask if I was coming today as I was in the waiting room well on time. Front desk is probably one of the toughest and lowest paying jobs at the center, however the front desk needs a lot of guidance because their quality does not match the quality of the whole office. The front desk staff brings the whole office score down and I hope to see that change in the future because the front desk is the first encounter for most clients. A lot of people who will benefit from this location may be deterred because of the mishaps. But overall, best service in Michigan. I don't understand the negative reviews as I feel the complete opposite. Especially since I've been told and feel comfortable asking for a change in therapists or doctors if I'm not finding a good fit. Therapy works both ways. I'm sure with the quality mental health providers, you will find a good match. I'm so thankful to have found this location and I encourage others looking for quality care to reach out for assistance. This may just be the last road to recovery of your mental health you'll need to walk. They provide so much support. I don't know how they do it all! Thank you. You've all been angels in my life! :)

I haven't had much luck making a good connection with the therapists, partially my fault for not making more time. But the psychiatrists have truly been a godsend. When I first set my appointment in 2020, I really was on the verge of not existing. Now it's four years laters and I'm days away from a college degree. Dr. Linsk is very professional and goes the extra mile to make sure you get what's needed from appointments and medications don't run out.

I went to the farm and stayed for a little over 3 months. The treatment duration is determined by the therapists. The shortest duration I saw was 2 1/2 months. Longest I saw was 4 months but most do around 90 days. I had moments I really loved the farm, and others where I felt like I hated it. Their rules are really strict and you’re there for a while. However, it did work for me. It was a long journey. I got yelled at for breaking rules, for sleeping in, and absolutely resented waking up early every morning to do work duties. Definitely cried a few times. By day 50 I was like “get me the heck out of here” but had months to go. But every time I got upset, I’d sleep on it and always decided to stay. Now I’m much better. I can wake up for an actual job early without a problem. I have more self control, more friends, more support, I try to follow the rules in real life situations, try to be a good person, and have a much more rewarding life overall. The Farm is really challenging but it does actually work if you listen to them and do what they tell you to do and don’t fight it. It’s hard to follow their schedule and rules every day for so long, but it just might change your life.

I went there for a couple years and met Maria as a counselor she really was understanding listened very well and out of my twenty counselors that I had in my life she was most understanding and the only one to believe me about a circumstance I was going thru because she another patient that was going thru the same trauma. And dr. Norwich who who is my specialist and after twenty years of being over prescribed meds that changed who I was I met him and he kept me on one med and I’m doing the best I have in a very long time. He’s so nice and very professional yet I feel very comfortable with and I need to get back into counseling so I will try to get Maria back whoever’s got them is very lucky

Life Challenge is a life saver for me. I’m so grateful to Pastor Jeff Bonzelar and my spiritual mom pastor Sheila as well as the teachers Bro Ken Keane, Bro Bob…and so many others. You have got to want change in your life for this to work. You’ve got to ask God to come into your heart ♥️ and do the work that needs to be done. I was walking around dead in sinking sand and God lifted me up and placed my feet on solid ground. I’ve completed 19 years and still standing for Jesus Christ. I encourage everyone to not let Satan get in your way. If you don’t like this one go find another Teen Challenge or Life Challenge. There are many more. But this was the best one for me. I was seen by emergency staff and Dr’s as a walk-in. I was in excruciating pain from a pinched nerve/cervical radicuopathy. Titanium plate in neck from neck surgery years ago. Service was very good. I was prescribed pain medication for 30 days. I was there approximately 2 hours.

I have taken bus loads of people on urban tours of their sites and collected sheets, towels, hygiene etc. Their facilities meet a huge need in Detroit and Highland Park and are run by incredible people. I have not been personally. HOWEVER. My dad has been seen there by a therapist named Sherry Razo. He has not been in lately due to car trouble and personal matters. She called to see when he would be in next and he informed her that he was feeling suicidal (won't put his words here) and all she said was she will see him next week. This is not acceptable from a therapist. Suicide should be taken seriously and talked through and if needed, given further help or advice on who to reach out to if she could not help. I feel very sorry for my dad and he is now even more depressed when the one person he told, did not care. Very unprofessional and very hurtful.

I give this place only a 4 star because they make it mandatory to see a therapist on a monthly basis in order to see your psychiatrist. It is a total inconvenience to me having to deal with an unneeded therapist.

The Bluffs has a solid program and amazing and supportive staff on all levels of care. Although I was a patient at the Bluffs 3 times in 2018, it was at no fault of the Bluffs for my relapses. I simply did not follow a program and work the steps. I am blessed to have the Bluffs so close to my home and incredibly grateful for their guidance and support through my difficult and never ending journey.

Detox was a peaceful place. I hadn’t slept or ate in a week. I only weighed 107 lbs. when I arrived, my appearance was sickly. I started eating properly and finally began filling out. Then I was moved to the residential side and got a huge comfy bed!! I started making friends, one pointed out to me that I may be depressed and for once I accepted it and went to talk to the Doctor. The doctor put me on depression medicine. I feel so happy and normal now!! The real healing came after I met with my Therapist . He asked me some questions and I answered them. I knew that we had to trust each other in order for this to work. I knew I had to face the demons within me. I had to deal with the trauma caused in my life. We built our relationship and when the time was right, I shared the deepest scars and pain that killed me inside a long time ago. It was the healing I needed to be a whole person again. It allowed me to love myself for the first time since I was a little girl. I thank God

Coming from years in the Army and fighting PTSD, I didn’t know what to expect walking into treatment. What I found surprised me. The team actually understood trauma, not just addiction. EMDR sessions shook loose stuff I’d buried deep. And being around other vets—man, that made all the difference. We spoke the same language. I wish the schedule had more flexibility, but overall, I finally felt like I wasn’t broken. I was just healing in the right place.
