I have been coming to counseling care for 4 months now and it has been one of the best decisions ive ever made. Ill start with Christine Bachmann for medicine management. Christine cares for her clients so much. She has so much compassion and love for her clients and it is so evident. She is so intentful and careful and when prescribing medications. Will McCraw is my therapist and I cannot say enough good things about him. He is so kind and helpful. I love that i can talk to him and get not only the help from an educated therapist perspective, but also from a Christian perspective as well. I always leave feeling better than when I came. Counseling care is a big part of my life and I am so happy that I found this place ♥️

After being diagnosed with Non epileptic seizures/events in December 2024, it has been a battle. Though my seizures/events are getting better, I am still struggling with being listened to by medical staff. I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Ernest T. Hanes at Noran Neurology in Lake Elm. Dr. Hanes not only knew what NES was but was willing and able to help. Getting me on a new medication, setting me up with referrals, and ordering testing for me. For the first time since this diagnosis, I feel as if I have been heard. If you are looking for a neurologist in Minnesota, I highly recommend  Noran Neurology in Lake Elmo, ask for Dr. Hanes!

I was diagnosed with seizures when I was in 6th grade, going between at least 5 different medications because my doctors couldn't get it right! Ever since I've gone to Noran it's been my savior, helping find the right meds because they ACTUALLY understood my diagnosis. 5/5 would recommend to anyone struggling with mental disorders! Went to this place in 2018 short term program, 3 months. Saved and changed my life. I understand it may not be for some but it always starts with yourself, you have to really want it and if you do the people and counselors here will help guide your way. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows here or anywhere for that matter, you have to be strong you have to be determined and if you are this place will work wonders for you. I'll have 8 years sober in 2 days and it all started here. Life is what you make it. If you're lost it doesn't mean you're lost forever, sometimes we all just need a little help and adult and teen challenge can be that help.

This centered based program is a master class on recovery, in my opinion, it's the one place you can really start over and begin the change so desperately needed for the road to recovery!!! The staff at Burkwood is second to none. The RA's and nurse's understand you and are amazing people!!! The cooks created fantastic food (Michelin Star grade) three squares and dessert!!! Also snacks on deck😉 The counselors are fantastic and each has a unique experience which gives better perspective on your journey! You can really emerse yourself in the program if you keep an open mind, don't get in your own way, and mind your bobber. With the community, you will feel like family, not only with the clients but the staff as well! People really care here and you will feel it! The comrodary you may not have known you needed is here and helps you become healthy, not only for yourself but in relationships and life over all. The best version of yourself is waiting to be realized!! Everyone I know has congratulated my achievements since graduating this program. I have no regrets and a much clearer pathway to my goals in recovery. After here, life really begins!

Having been here for over 10 years I can tell you there’s not a better place to go, without Valhalla (BHG) I wouldn’t be able to thrive and live a normal life which I’ve been able to do. So far my experience with Anne Marie has been TERRIBLE!!!! Early in recovery dealing with disconnection notices and getting back into the work force relying on public transportation in rural Minnesota and trying to find housing is NOT EASY and neither it is an excuse, but I am not sure how she can be kicked out of group after 1 group absence and individual. It is frustrating to work with a provider who calls their clients names during sessions and communicates in a condescending manner. Is this place not trauma informed? I’m so confused as to how I was discharged without being able to speak for myself or to Anne Marie’s supervisor. UPDATE: Club recovery was ready to listen to my concerns and was quick to offer an efficient solution. I am highly satisfied with the care that I've received at Club Recovery, but amazed at their proficient customer service.

I absolutely adored my loving, kind, understanding, compassionate and just a teeny tiny bit rough, counselor, Ava. Additionally, the program isn't like others that I've been to. I felt less triggered and much more like a family. Park gave me a purpose and motivation to get up, go, and actively participate every day. I enjoyed My time there so so much!!! And I came away with a great support system and the tools to be successful and healthy. If you are looking for a good and loving recovery program, you will find it in Park Ave!!! Recommend 20 out of 10!!!!!

I went here on June 2nd 2023 I've been sober ever since! I still go here for therapy I absolutely love this place! I honestly cannot say enough great things about the staff they genuinely care about each and every client and it shows tremendously! Park Ave saved my life and my family! They didn't just help me get sober they helped me recover and gave me the best tools to maintain my recovery! I do and will continue to recommend Park Ave to anyone who struggles with addiction! idk about wakiagun but KOLA be the cleanest shelter/day center I have been to in MPLS. love not having to call to get a spot you just show up and they open doors at 7pm but spots get filled quickly. Holds like 25-30 men and 5-10 women. Seriously only place I feel safe to sleep and not trip.

The people here are genuine and so welcoming and welcome newcomers with open arms the intake process is super tedious and long and takes 3 to 4 hours but it’s so so so worth it!!!!! no regrets choosing to come here I promise you will feel the same I can’t say one bad thing about this place at all. I've changed my review they've implemented a lot of good things. The monthly mandatory group is online now which is amazing I have severe phobias and sitting in a small room of 20 people with potentially catching COVID makes me feel a lot better knowing I can sit at home in a group on camera and my counselor Rob is amazing and genuinely cares so they fixed a lot so I give this clinic a thumbs up. My previous review wasn't too fair I feel like they fixed a lot of the issues that I had problems with which is really good lots of places don't do that and they certainly don't listen to their clients usually and fixing those issues so it's a very nice change of pace to feel like we are heard 👍

Been to this place off and on for years best place and coming back I felt really heard and seen and actually helped my mental health so much the staff is amazing there and my family therapist is the best and even the dbt day treatment and I would definitely recommend this place. Finding therapist is hard and finding the right fit is hard too but if anyone feels this place isn’t the best it is you can choose who to work with and what works best for you. If I could give 10 stars I would and before I left this place as a teenager I had Karen king and she was a beautiful soul ! Helped me through a lot so definitely recommended this place for any help you need! Everyone in the dbt day treatment was the best staff ever! And the family therapist chue is amazing helped me out and my partner out so much and will continue working with him !
