Horrible company. We had been using Preferred Family Healthcare for in-home services for our disabled teenage son. He is unable to attend school. They claim to be mental and behavioral health services but they terminated our services with no notice because my sons behavior was difficult. Our staff left (after a good day) on a Friday & I received a call that he wouldn't be returning and they didn't know who was replacing him. It was all very odd. When I started questioning management and got no response, I finally threatened to call a lawyer. They sent an email notifying me they were terminating our services. They had already determined that & didn't even bother calling me or giving me a 2 week notice. I had to call my employer on Monday and explain I no longer had anyone to care for my son. I only worked in office one day a week & the rest of the time I was assisting their staff in caring for my son, except for occasional trips to the grocery store. I would never recommend PFH to anyone

What a complete waste of my time, I showed up early only to be checked in 30 minutes late. Then the receptionist told me she'd have to wait to hear from the nurses to see if they'd still take me today. . . Because of the lateness(i was 5 minutes early). I fed my baby I was carrying 2 bottles the entire time that I was there. It's hard for me to get places with a baby so I usually schedule multiple appointments in one day just so I can knock them out. But unfortunately I had to leave the doctor's office wo seeing the doctor because I had an upcoming appointment at 11:15 and had to be across town.

I took my son there when he was about 17 or so (he's 23 yrs old now) and they changed his life! He has autism and bipolar manic disorder. He wasn't diagnosed correctly at McKenzie Medical and the Dr here got him on the correct medication. We no longer live in Tennessee but I hope they see this and know he's still doing great (except for the seizures) Thanks for helping my son when no one else had a clue!
I'd like to add that the medicaid in Tennessee is horrible! No dental or vision coverage??? What's up with that?? and finding a good Dr, especially a psychiatrist is a huge task. Glad to be back in Ohio where my son and I both are well taken care of physically and mentally. And we both have dental and vision coverage.
