Almost everyone here at this facility is wonderful. I have been going to this VA for 20+ years, and they have gone above and beyond with my care. I do everything from primary care, physical therapy, pain management, inpatient respite care, counseling, etc. I would highly recommend them.

The place is great, but a few if the check in clerks could use a different position that doesn't deal directly with the patients. Rudeness and a cold attitude is not warranted towards any veteran. On the old hand, 95% of the staff are amazing human beings and value their patients. They are kind, respectful, cordial and patient towards their patients.

I love the Doctor who runs it and talks with you. He really does care. But they have a very high turnover rate. They always have new counselors and dosing nurses. From what I understand, they offer no insurance for their employees and the pay isn’t very good.

I did treatment twice at semo. Once to get clean and once to prevent a relapse. My cooccuring councilor mr virgil and my facilitator saved my life. When leaving treatment my facilitator asked me to check out a specific type of meeting when leaving and the truly taught me how to fight within for my sobriety. Today i am 5 yrs 2 months and 19 days sober 🥰🥰 and i never went to another facility and no relapses! Hadnt they taken me serious during my cry before relapse and let me back in i wouldnt be here today! Semo saved my life!

I could stay home and do this online but because this place is as great as it is id rather drive 45 / 50 minutes too come here. The doctor is amazing, the staff is so nicely characterized. My PCP referred me to the Counseling Center and I was quickly contacted and was sent all my intake paperwork to fill out ahead of time. I was then scheduled with a Therapist within 2 days and met with my new Psychiatrist also. I have Recurrent Major Depressive Disorder with Anxiety along side a history of AUD. The staff is always extremely kind and helpful. They work with your schedule and are available for quick response if needed. I feel the decision to come here has given me real hope in managing my mental state and ultimately my life going forward. I'm very grateful to have the support provided here.

My psychiatrist Dr. Cannon is amazing. She is very detail oriented and my therapist Jennifer came with strong recommendations. I was apprehensive at first because of our ages. By far the most comfortable I have ever been with a therapist. The office staff is a mess since Ms. Ragina went to NEA.
I had to be complaint because I was diagnosed with breadt cancer at 31.

I personally was admitted as a teen-ager here. I kept getting beaten up by the other residents and was eventually pulled out my parents, but in the 3 short months I was a resident here, this place completely changed my life for the better. Before I was getting into physical fights with my parents and verbal arguments every waking moment among other medical and behaviour related reasons. After 3 months, my relationship with my parents have never been stronger. Even today, despite myself still struggling with some of the things I was originally admitted for, I am still doing great. I still get in verbal arguments with my parents, but it has never once escalated to violence. Most days we are a strong, loving family. I am glad I was a resident here. Thank you McDowell and thank you to the therapist. I forget the exact name but it was Mrs Barbie or Barbora or Brittney or something with a B. Ya'll changed my life and I will always be forever thankful and in your debt.

The staff here truly care about the kids and work hard to give them the tools they need to succeed. The program is structured and supportive, which really helps create stability and positive change. They keep safety a top priority and involve families in the process so progress can continue at home. a great place for children who need extra behavioral health support.
