Plymouth House is a drug and alcohol addiction recovery center in Plymouth, New Hampshire. I had an amazing experience at the Plymouth House. I did their detox, residential and PHP programs. I've been to many treatment centers and nothing had stuck until the Plymouth house. The staff are amazing--so knowledgeable and caring, many of them having gone through the Plymouth house themselves--the food is great, the facility is clean and well-run. However, what really makes the Plymouth house stand out is the way they take you through the 12 steps. At the Plymouth house, they don't just get you sober. They go above and beyond by showing you how to live a fulfilling life in recovery, and that, to me, is what really sets the Plymouth house apart from other treatment centers. I would recommend the Plymouth house to anyone struggling with addiction.

To start. Plymouth House saved my life and my marriage. I was on path of destruction. Until I came here and had the best experience of my life. This place is like no other. Its unique teaching and program style is above any I’ve seen. The staff is amazing involved in every step. The personal team care each guest gets it’s an experience of its own. This place can and will change many more lives to come. I’m grateful to Plymouth house and the entire staff from the higher ups in the offices to the chefs in the kitchen. By the time you half way through it’s like you with family. This place is my second home. I will not forget this place or the people who make it as special as it is. Thank you Plymouth House.

As someone who fought like hell to “be normal”, I finally faced my reality that alcohol is my nemesis. I talked to therapists, read books, attended AA meetings but it wasn’t enough. I searched high and low for a “quick fix” but I kept hitting a wall. After speaking with a friend, it was recommended that I check out the Plymouth House in New Hampshire. Honestly, I was a bit afraid of taking this step but so glad I did. Little did I know, it would be the first of many steps. I arrived on the beautiful scenic campus and was welcomed by some incredibly supportive staff. I was quickly scheduled with a provider, a therapist and a 12 step clinician and I was off to the races. The community was great and offered ongoing support for me and my peers. The work was hard but necessary to be on a solid road to recovery. If you want it, I mean really want it….this is just the place for you. If you are struggling, I hope you have courage to pick up the phone and start an incredible journey of hope. You will be glad you did!

In 2023 I admitted to Canterbury behavioral health struggling with addiction and being alone struggling severe mental health issues. I went threw this program and that's some of the most amazing staff members they gave me a set of tools and skills it allowed me to begin the journey of coming out of the darkness of addiction and mental health. They introduced me to the program of alcoholics anonymous in the big book of AA. Because of Canterbury behavioral health today I live a life that I never knew existed. Today I am a proud member of the AA community as well as a productive member of society. Not only did Canterbury save my life I as well answer the calling for my higher power to go back and work at Canterbury behavioral health myself. I am so grateful today that I get to work beside amazing team members as well as some of the staff that help me save my life.

This place saved my life. Period. The staff is second to none and truly care about each and every client. It’s not very often when there is nothing negative to say about staff. But there really isn’t. This place will always hold a place in my heart and I know I wouldn’t be here writing this if it wasn’t for CBH. They believed in me and saw in me what I couldn’t see in myself. Shout out to my care team Colleen and Chelsea. I love you both like family.

I can’t say enough good things about RBH!! I showed up in October 2016 spiritual bankrupt Not happy to be there. Slowly but surely the staff and camaraderie between the residence help show me a a whole new way of life. Helped show me a new way of thinking an a whole new way of looking at the world. Gave me a solid foundation in the sober community in the lakes region which is where I still live today. I still feel very much part of the RBH community. I still have a lot solid friendships thanks to RBH and I love seeing the guys around town and at meetings. Lotta good memories!! Riverbank house definitely helped push my life in a positive direction and I’ll ever be grateful.

The experience I had at the Riverbank House changed my life forever in so many ways. I arrived at RBH in February 2016 and begrudgingly agreed to stay for 28 days, I ended up living there for almost 4 years because I just didn’t want to leave. The bonds and friendships I formed there still continue to this day. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity at a new life, and how to truly enjoy that life, that was provided to me by the Riverbank. My time at RBH was filled with compassion and laughter and memories I will always cherish. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, but going to the Riverbank was certainly not one of them. I am grateful for every single me ever of the Riverbank brotherhood that I got to know during my time there, even that guy with the red beard.

I love this hospital. No seriously. My husband and I both have serious chronic illnesses, and have to use their services far more often than anyone should ever have to. Every person, from the custodians, secrrtaries, CNAs/LNAs, transporters, imaging, lab techs to the nurses and doctors are always amazing to us. When the hospital was full for days and no one could accompany me to another floor to shower, they gave me everything I could ever need to take my nightly "sink baths". When I had to have an NG Tube, the kindest lab tech held my hand, and the doctor and PA tried to soothe me and reassure me as much as possible (and let me tell you, the NG tube is the devil). They brought my son a popsicle, and celebrated every win with me. Each person deserves a super huge raise and extra paid vacation time! They have always listened to me, and I have been ignored and traumatized by enough medical staff in the past to know the difference. The only special thing I did was try to be kind. Thank you all for being wonderful and going above and beyond for me and my family!

I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

I see so much hate being projected on the reviews here. This place honestly saved my life, This place and people are the Reason why I am off of dope. There are a few things that could change though,One of the crappiest Things Are, When you Finally Make it to the clinic,Sometimes on Saturday there is a Enormous line out the door all the way around the building. Other than that it's an amazing safe place. Well I forgot one thing. This is my 3rd counselor which I hope they don't keep leaving.

I had been sober for 9 years, taking Suboxone but it was all a lie. I relapsed and everything came crashing down. I went to jail, almost caught a serious charge, was getting evicted from my apartment, my car ready to be repossessed and my life just seemed to spiral out of control. I was on the verge of suicide. I decided to go back to the methadone clinic and start IOP. My journey of healing began. It's just a slip, I will get back up even stronger than before. I know now who is important in my life and who isn't. If I want to change I need to start healing and loving myself first. Something I've never done, everyone else was first. Now it's time for me to be number one. My life matters I don't want to die.
