Mountain Valley provides excellent, evidenced based treatment for anxiety and OCD to teens and young adults ages 13-21 in a beautiful, warm setting. The staff: directors, clinicians, and residential staff, are intelligent, skilled, compassionate, and wise. Not only do they provide great treatment in the form of exposure response treatment, CBT, DBT, and ACT; they explore the larger life journey, values, and meaning for each resident. They connect the residents to nature in their beautiful NH setting, and on their farm with animals. They have a wonderful chef and integrate healthy food and life style choices. They have a three phase treatment structure that aligns the treatment process with the idea of a heroic journey, and have ceremonies to mark entering each phase (a fire ceremony and an ice bath ceremony). They foster an atmosphere among the residents that allow them to develop community with others and deep connections. My daughter not only learned the tools to address her anxiety that she will carry forward, she learned to connect with herself and her values, and to tolerate her distress and challenges with courage. In addition, they offer a parent support and education program that allows us to learn about anxiety, supports us, and gives us the tools to parent our children with significant anxiety. They also offer a transitions program for the residents after they leave to bridge the return to their lives at school, home, and in their communities, My daughter s experience at Mountain Valley was life changing and healing. Mountain Valley has truly been a lifesaver to our family! It is a special place made up of special people who have both the expertise and the caring hearts to support both their residents and their families during a very difficult time. They were able to turn my daughter s bright light back on that had been dimmed due to anxiety and depression. They educated her to help her understand what she was going through, gave her coping skills for when she experiences her highs and lows, and helped her to learn strategies and routines that allow her to maintain a healthier lifestyle. They also helped and supported our family to learn what we could do to better support her. In connecting with the other residents and forming incredibly close friendships, for the first time, our daughter didn t feel alone in what she was going through. The therapists and staff at Mountain Valley are unmatched in the way they care about and connect with the residents. My daughter really trusted them and finally had hope that she could get better. On top of all that, she loved being there and had so much fun in all their activities. I am forever grateful to Mountain Valley!!!!

I am a patient with full medical coverage at White River Junction VA. They are the nicest people! The could have not have done more for me in the three years I have been going there. I am currently rated near 100% disabled by the VA. I go here for all my medical needs. Recently, I had surgery at White River VA and the experience was outstanding. The surgeon was excellent and the operation a success. They have support programs that suffer only because veterans fail to sign up for them. I encourage you, the veteran and your family or advocate to seek out the people who can advise you on their wide number of programs for your physical, spiritual and behavioral health well being. These folks are here to serve and help you and they are excellent!

| Dartmouth Hitchcock Psychiatric in Lebanon, New Hampshire is a place where you can get outpatient support that meets substance use concerns with compassion and clinical care. Their experienced staff are available to listen carefully and offer space for honest conversations about what you’re experiencing. This is a setting where your concerns are | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This was the first adult psych trip I’d had since turning 18. Going in I was very nervous as my last visit to a behavioral health center for minors was unpleasant to say the least. I can say today though that this was the most comfortable stay I’ve had in a psychiatric unit and I left feeling like my problems mattered while I was there.
I was able to meet with a team of training med students and professional psychiatrists at least once a day with vitals taken daily and medication given daily if prescribed. I feel like I understand my mental health a lot better through the optional group therapies which allowed for open discussion between a therapist and all the patients. You were able to see both a professional and personal solution to different problems, such as; coping with grief or cognitive distortions, while sharing your own story if you choose to do so.
Often nights the other patients and I would gather around the table and play games or watch TV together while having conversation. The nurses did not specify bedtime or wake time (though most slept before 11 PM and woke for breakfast at 8 AM willingly) making the experience very personalized.
Upon leaving I was also provided with a bridge program to meet with a psychiatrist on unit until I can be transferred to an outpatient provider to continue my meds. I was also given written instructions on how to fill out the new patient intake forms at the care center nearest to me making me able to attain a primary care physician!
I left there having made a few friends who never failed to lift my spirits or offer a helping hand when I was having a bad day. Overall, I feel better equipped to care for myself both physically and mentally when it had overwhelmed me so much just a week prior.
Thank you to the whole team and a special thanks to nurses Melissa and Allison, Ashley, and Dr. Schwartz. These were some members of the staff who left a lasting impression on me going above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in my stay.

I do not regret a single moment of it.All of the staff here are incredibly supportive and kind, even in the worst of moments. I certainly lost my cool more than a few times, but the staff was always there to pick me back up. I was there which I think is a fantastic idea. I would list more names however I don t remember everybody s name. The nurses are fantastic as well. They really stay on top of the detox clients and the residential as well. The clients that come in are fantastic. I had a really good group at the house. I was grateful that they allowed vapes And the amount of breaks that you get. The groups are fun and informative. They helped me detox as comfortably as possible from something I didn t realize was in what I was taking. I m so glad I went to this place. They saved my life. Great clinic. Awesome people. Jill is the most caring, professional, and hard working counselor I ve ever had the the luck of being assigned to. Sharon the director is awesome as well. Only complaint which should not steer you away from this place but there is one nurse there has the absolute worst work ethic I have ever seen in my entire life. She hung up on me and told me to stop calling when I was trying to figure out what was going on with a fax while I was guest dosing in FL. I can t say enough good things about RBH!! I showed up in October 2016 spiritual bankrupt Not happy to be there. Slowly but surely the staff and camaraderie between the residence help show me a a whole new way of life. Helped show me a new way of thinking an a whole new way of looking at the world. Gave me a solid foundation in the sober community in the lakes region which is where I still live today. I still feel very much part of the RBH community. I still have a lot solid friendships thanks to RBH and I love seeing the guys around town and at meetings. Lotta good memories!! Riverbank house definitely helped push my life in a positive direction and I ll ever be grateful.

The experience I had at the Riverbank House changed my life forever in so many ways. I arrived at RBH in February 2016 and begrudgingly agreed to stay for 28 days, I ended up living there for almost 4 years because I just didn t want to leave. The bonds and friendships I formed there still continue to this day. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity at a new life, and how to truly enjoy that life, that was provided to me by the Riverbank. My time at RBH was filled with compassion and laughter and memories I will always cherish. I ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, but going to the Riverbank was certainly not one of them. I am grateful for every single me ever of the Riverbank brotherhood that I got to know during my time there, even that guy with the red beard.
