I have been going here for over a year now and it's a hit and miss situation the first therapist I had here was terrible and I could tell she didn't actually care about me. The first nurse practitioner I had here wasn't that good either. After that I would like to say that the second therapist I got was awesome he really helped me through some stuff, because of my work with him I have become a much less angry individual, I am sad to see him go, but people move all the time. I believe that the next therapist I have here will probably be good too. I would also like to say to people thinking about going here, take a chance, you may end up with someone you really like, and if you don't find someone else it is not much of a problem to switch therapists.

Just a review from a loved one who is thankful for the care given. I don’t know much other than Lori is sent from a higher power to work on and coordinate rehabilitative services. We hope the tools and resources will spark the journey in lasting recovery and are so thankful for everything. Amazing place and miracles truly happen!!!I truly didn’t want to live anymore when I first got there but the staff there helped me change my thinking around and I am truly forever grateful!!!!!!Lori was nothing short of amazing and relentless on helping me get into the rehab and I ended up with an amazing counselor named John that really helped me open my eyes !!

My cousin, who is more like a brother to me, has been to DYC more than once. While he is no longer there today, that is not because of any shortcoming on DYC’s part. This place is truly a diamond in the rough.
DYC is one of the very few long-term treatment facilities available for youth, a rarity that in itself makes it invaluable. But beyond that, what makes DYC extraordinary is the people: kind, compassionate, dedicated individuals who consistently go above and beyond not only for its members but also for the families who walk alongside them in this difficult journey.
From the Fallsburg residence to the Brooklyn program and beyond, DYC offers so much more than treatment. It provides dignity, holistic care, and the life skills, introspection, and tools needed to break free from addiction’s grip. It is a place that treats people as whole human beings, worthy of love, healing, and hope.
Although my cousin is no longer a member due to his own circumstances and decisions, DYC has never left me behind. For over a year, I have been attending the family groups virtually every Wednesday, and in that time I have been heard, understood, guided, and supported. These groups have profoundly shifted my beliefs, my approach, and my ability to support not only my cousin but also myself as I navigate the long and painful road that addiction weaves into families.
I especially want to recognize Jen and Scott, who lead our Wednesday meetings with such care, wisdom, and compassion. Their ability to hold space for every single person in the group - through laughter, tears, and honest conversation - has been life-changing. They embody the heart of what makes DYC so special.
I have cried with this community, laughed with them, and learned from them. I have been humbled by the strength of other families and, in turn, found strength of my own. The gratitude I feel for DYC, the staff, the families, and the space they create together, cannot truly be captured by words. But I can say this: DYC has given me hope, perspective, and a community when I needed it most. For that, I am forever thankful.

Serenity mountain changed my life! Between the caring house staff, knowledgeable clinical team and great activities, this is a great place to grow, learn and recover. While I was there, I was able to learn so much, about myself, my disease, and God. We had opportunities to go to off campus activities including drum aerobics, enerchi, yoga, church and even special things like concerts, ice cream runs, local NA/AA meetings and women’s retreats! The councilors genuinely care and want the best for each and every one of the girls on the mountain, and the house staff does everything they can to keep us safe, healthy, and happy throughout our time there. Sandy and Joe genuinely do their best to help each individual woman and truly care about recovery. The food is much better than most rehabs, and the rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. There is even two house dogs, Chloe and poppi, who make adjusting to the mountain much easier and provide great emotional support when needed! Overall, I highly recommend serenity mountain if addiction is something you struggle with, the road to recovery isn’t always easy, but the mountain is a great stopping point along the journey!

This place saved my life….. I don’t even know where to start. They welcomed me in with open arms in a judgement free zone, made sure I had everything I needed for food, hygiene, meds, and general support. EVERY SINGLE STAFF member was caring and attentive to my needs from check in to check out. Locations not great and the hours are limited? Don't understand that with need, and to easy to miss in traffic. But, though understaffed they do manage to assist best they can and are plesant to deal with. As for the phones your better off with a walk-in... at least face to face you'll get quicker results than that foolish answering system, if its working at all... will gives you the run around. Use to be able to circumvent this feature for direct contact with a pulse but that seems to have been eliminated for automation? That helps no one but the office.

My daughter has received services from Astor for the last 2-3 years. I have nothing but good things to say about the receptionists, staff, therapists, nurses and NPs. They have been a blessing to us! When my daughter does not have an appointment one week due to a holiday or whatever, someone will call to check on us. I really appreciate that. It is tough having interns as my daughter's therapists but they need to train somewhere. If your child has extreme difficulty with change then ask for someone that is consistent.

My daughter has received services from Astor for the last 2-3 years. I have nothing but good things to say about the receptionists, staff, therapists, nurses and NPs. They have been a blessing to us! When my daughter does not have an appointment one week due to a holiday or whatever, someone will call to check on us. I really appreciate that. It is tough having interns as my daughter's therapists but they need to train somewhere. If your child has extreme difficulty with change then ask for someone that is consistent.
