Sandra Isaacs 1 month ago my sister has been at the Pines for about three weeks now. Definitely some superstars who need a big shout out. Chris, her nurse has been outstanding. Has gone way above and beyond trying to make sure that we make progress with her health. He even talked to me about her health after he was off the clock and heading out of the facility. I couldn't ask for anymore than what he has helped her with. Also the back up nurse for Chris. Was outstanding. Went over all of her medication with me. You could see that you really really cared about my sister. I'm not sure if her name but she was white in her early 30s with brown hair. The head dietitian I believe her name was Anne-Marie was outstanding. Went above and beyond to make sure all of my sisters dietary needs were taken care of down to the smallest detail. On several occasions, Debbie in activities was outstanding. Was doing everything she could to make my sisters visit as enjoyable as possible. The nurses on the fifth floor were all excellent and very helpful to me. Also, everyone at the Front reception was outstanding. Today there was a bad person when I was in there mistreating his girlfriend and the receptionist stepped up and told him he needed to leave the property. He was very unruly. She was very courageous and doing so❤️I know my sister was a handful so I appreciate everybody going above and beyond to have her try to make progress on her health. I was beyond scared and worried. But nurse Kayla Williams was with me through the whole birth procedure. She literally held me while I was shaking, played music from her phone, and communicated everything to me and my family! A big shout out to her! During my stay I had wonderful nurses take care of me. Shout out to nurses Brigitte, Anne Deluxe, MJ, and Madi! I can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality and help! Next I want to thank my doctors: Dr. Marceus (who performedthe procedure), Dr. Blair, Dr. Kepplenger, and all the residents who checked up on both my son and me. I also want to thank the anesthesiologist who was on call that day (5/28/26...sorry didn't catch his name) for keeping me calm and comforted during the surgery. I dropped a star bc my room was not cleaned. Im not talking about the bed (nurses made them every day) but housekeeping/environmental services staff did not sweep/mop the floors and take out the trash. I was there for 3ish days! It wasn't until my last night there that I asked them to send someone to mop the floor and empty my trash can. Otherwise, the food was good, the nursing and medical staff is exceptional!, the facility itself is pretty well stocked. Overall I was very comfortable and healed very well before being sent home! The care there has always been excellent. It is a small clinic, so you have to adapt to their resources, like, that the lab work is only done in the mornings, and the My Healthy Vet self-service kiosk doesn't work, but the reception staff have always been very good. From the counselors, to the skills-building, and family recovery resources in between, this program is saving lives and families. My brother has been in and out of 30-day rehabs for 5+ years since he was 17. He's now 21, and the happiest he's ever been. What makes this program different is that they are young adult focused and NOT FOR PROFIT. They work with insurance and state funding, so they don't turn people away because of an inability to pay. My brother has been able to complete his high school diploma, and has now been in the program for 8 months. He's building his recovery and professional skills, learning about different trades, involved in so many activities in the program, and is becoming a peer leader. The counselors and staff involve families in the recovery process because they recognize its a family disease. They also work with members who are on MAT and taper them at a level that works for them. DYC considers every angle of their life—structure, community, skill building, independence and compassion. The Fallsburg location is exclusively a long-term residential program with weekend visits by families permitted. The Brooklyn location provides both residential and out-patient programs. My brother has even said "I can't believe I didn't come here sooner." Coming from a 21-year old, that should tell you a lot! Even the DYC alumni (past members) are so inspirational to hear from and continue to remain active. Would 100% recommend DYC to anyone who has a young adult in their life struggling with addiction and is looking for a compassionate alternative to 30-day rehabs. This place is truly a diamond in the rough. DYC is one of the very few long-term treatment facilities available for youth, a rarity that in itself makes it invaluable. But beyond that, what makes DYC extraordinary is the people: kind, compassionate, dedicated individuals who consistently go above and beyond not only for its members but also for the families who walk alongside them in this difficult journey. From the Fallsburg residence to the Brooklyn program and beyond, DYC offers so much more than treatment. It provides dignity, holistic care, and the life skills, introspection, and tools needed to break free from addiction’s grip. It is a place that treats people as whole human beings, worthy of love, healing, and hope. Although my cousin is no longer a member due to his own circumstances and decisions, DYC has never left me behind. For over a year, I have been attending the family groups virtually every Wednesday, and in that time I have been heard, understood, guided, and supported. These groups have profoundly shifted my beliefs, my approach, and my ability to support not only my cousin but also myself as I navigate the long and painful road that addiction weaves into families. I especially want to recognize Jen and Scott, who lead our Wednesday meetings with such care, wisdom, and compassion. Their ability to hold space for every single person in the group - through laughter, tears, and honest conversation - has been life-changing. They embody the heart of what makes DYC so special. I have cried with this community, laughed with them, and learned from them. I have been humbled by the strength of other families and, in turn, found strength of my own. The gratitude I feel for DYC, the staff, the families, and the space they create together, cannot truly be captured by words. The then director Andrea was a tough woman to trick or get one over on. Counselors come and go thst normal. Brian the house manager was also amazing and there for a long time. I have nothing but good things to say about the receptionists, staff, therapists, nurses and NPs. They have been a blessing to us! When my daughter does not have an appointment one week due to a holiday or whatever, someone will call to check on us. I really appreciate that. It is tough having interns as my daughter's therapists but they need to train somewhere. If your child has extreme difficulty with change then ask for someone that is consistent. First of all, I actually got a LIVE PERSON on the phone! Her name was Siera, and oh my goodness, she was amazing. I called with a cracked tooth and an abscess, and the pain was unbearable. Siera was compassionate, helpful, and immediately informed me that they could see me as an emergency. What a relief! And somehow my luck kept getting better — I was also able to schedule my cleaning for this year instead of being told I would have to wait nearly a year. I honestly couldn't believe how much was accomplished in one phone call! Once I arrived, Tonya, the manager, handled my situation. Oh my goodness, was I on a winning streak! She was professional, attentive, and made sure my case was handled properly. I am certainly willing to complain when I don't receive the treatment or customer service I believe is appropriate. That said, I am just as willing to give people their props when they deserve them — and this team deserves them. I walked in dealing with unbearable pain and a horrible situation, and Siera and Tonya managed to make the experience pleasant, compassionate, and reassuring. This is my first review after years at Cornerstone so I need to also express my appreciation of dentists Burke and White whom are top notch. This summer I used the Urgent Care for the first time and unfortunately don't recall the names of the providers but it was an all around positive experience.
