My wife had a minor surgery done here. Relatively clean and tidy facility. Also a decent level of privacy compared to other hospitals we’ve had procedures done. Staff were kind, patient, and thorough. They mostly seem pretty happy, which engenders a lot of confidence in their system. Yes, there was a lot of waiting, but that’s every hospital. Surgery scheduled for 1:00, started at 2:00.

We want to thank Phelps Hospital ER from the bottom of our hearts. My husband was sick with high fever, turns out he had pneumonia. Every person who interacted with us was very kind, helpful, responsive, courteous, caring and prompt. They took him in quickly. Assigned him a nice room with a door and curtain. Everywhere was clean, everything and everyone was very orderly. They quickly did the work up, started the IV fluids, gave the nebulizer and painkillers. Dr. Nick was very cool. Big thanks to our nurse Ryan, super organized, super helpful. My husband received the treatment he needed, was feeling much better when we were leaving. We were done in less than 4 hours. We certainly did not expect our ER experience to turn out this way. Thank you for this pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

Monte Nido Irvington absolutely saved my life. I had been suffering from my ED for years & treatment wasn’t really helping me. Irvington actually showed me that recovery is possible, and that I can actually do well in life. My therapist, Meg, is an absolute gem who cared so much about me and my case. I really connected with her. She never lost hope. Most of the therapist & RC’s there are incredible and really made a difference in my recovery and life. I gotta say … I went to Arm Acres in early 2000 I was 17 going to 18 years old …. I’m so thankful for them they help me I wish I can see the stuff in my time again and tell them thank you .. Also I was inpatient for 90 day .. I had the choice to go back home or go to another program for longer term .. cause the choice I make in that time in my life went to the other program I can say I’m alive clean for many years now .. I did 11 months in beacon of hope on meds every night. I was on porole they gave me a violation and send me fro project renewal to up state hospital facilities I came down and.i when back to bpc 1 when it was Bronx psychieartic center the TLR. The old buildings. In 2017i went to Bronx behavioral health center until 2020 the end of the year. In 1420 water place Bronx NY 10461 TLR I ran away to Rhode Island Providence one summer. 2018 or 2019one of those summer. I lived very hard my dad put me in all them facilities. He even got my arrested when I was a youth offincer I watch the BPC staff and gurds they did arrested fonely time with me as a youth offincer the reason I fight in Bronx behavioral health center elwas for my cellphone cigarettes and cash. My stuff. And I hated weed and k2. The smell. So I beat them up. I got beat up for my addiction if cigarettes. I flew 2023 to Santo Domingo. it 2025 my dad wants to kick me out I don't know how keep saying why don't you go live in a shelter and take your $200.00 rent with you. Your a grown man. I am dad I tell him. His 70. Am try to say here so I could get have the Apt for when he goes to nursing. He drinks and smokes cigarettes and is always mad. He don't collect snap I pult 100 snap a month and buy foy the first. He out but it seem like I put more. I know he pays the rent and I give him 200. Sorry for crying. Ps. My storytime worry about food and shelter.

This is a great outpatient program. I saw some of the negative comments and I totally disagree. The counselors are awesome. They are not judgemental. They call clients on their BS!! Of course there are clients who are mandated. That's every rehab. But there are also people who are there because they need help and want to be there. I loved the counselors because they were very in tune to the disease of addiction. Someone mentioned the "older white male" counselor. He was one of my favorites. They are very compassionate. They also run their groups efficiently. I've been to some outpatient programs where the counselors can't control the groups and by the time the group is over...I forgot what the actual group topic was. I would definitely recommend this treatment program to anyone who really wants help with their addiction.

I went here after my local ER failed me and kept sending me home with alcohol poisoning / withdrawals. I can’t speak for everyone or every program, but I felt very cared for. I told them I needed a hot shower because I couldn’t regulate my body temp and the nurse had someone come and clean the shower for me. I had to sit on the FLOOR, of essentially a public shower I was so sick. But it still felt clean. The shower head was odd and too powerful, but again, available and CLEAN! I was properly cared for, and if you EVER need help, they’re in your room quickly. Medications are taken seriously and used appropriately and given regularly. I was woken up to take my meds, which is probably the only reason I woke up without pain or nausea. I spent very little time here, but it was very pleasant and the staff very caring. I haven’t even had a hangover post care at this facility, but if I ever struggled again, I’d admit myself here willingly. Staff makes the entire program worth it, and they’re (in my experience as of mid 2025) excellent :)

Security officers confused me even more (reminder of Rickers Island) but to my surprise the young and the old heads security officers were respectful, officer Cruz the OG stay cool.

it was okay overall, staff is really nice and caring, therapists are chill, place isnt that strict, environment of milieu can be chaotic and triggering though depending on what group of kids you have. i think the co ed is nice, ages 11-17 so it adds for some diversity. the tier system is kinda mid but its fair and it adds to ppls motivation :) shoutout to mona, alexis, and jon my favorite staff overall

This is the school I use to go to when I was in 1st grade up untill 5th grade it was the best school. I miss it so much I am now in 7th grade. I'm going to be in 8th soon. The children’s hospital has been the best experience year after year. Nurses who remember your child, friendly staff. If admitted the food is great, they also provide school activities and a teacher. Too many good things to list from 2016-2025. Very appreciative, this is the only hospital my child is comfortable going to.
