This will be long. I went for detox. First I meet Matthew, cute and nice, same goes with Nathaniel. Then I meet Ben nice man and good advice giver. Then there is Rachel. She is great to talk to and good listener and makes squatting and coughing a funny ordeal LOL, also had great conversation with her and a couple ladies, it was a good time...Time to see Dr. Rambaran he keeps things light and jokes around (with no judgement) which is refreshing. Dr. Jacobs was cracking some jokes too keeping things light. My nurses were amazing, answered any questions, explained everything, went above and beyond and also informative. Nurse Jonatha, Sue, and Yoonee were the best very very nice ladies. Aram and Anna Maria were my counselors, never gave me a hard time about using the phone and listened to what my plan was when I left detox which was go back to my IOP that I was and still in without pressures of doing or going somewhere else. All in all I had a great experience and would suggest this place to anyone. Also I had two different roommates and both were great too which made the stay easier as well. Day of April 23rd. I had a hernia surgery, the procedure was being handled by Dr. John Kollar - Same day surgery. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and a big thank you to the whole team, with the preparation before and after surgery. I was really calm and relieved with the whole process and they treated me with the upmost care, especially during the surgery. Very good staff, beautiful furniture, and amazing clients. Odyssey House provides teenagers, and adults the right, enjoyable care they rightfully deserve. Staff are glad to assist and will not disrespect you in any sort of way. Programs, Trips, and many other exciting activities will be provided during your visits. Snacks are provided for teens and for adults coffee and other nutritional snacks. I am extremely grateful for the care and attention from all the staff I've come to expect.
It is astounding that these wonderful therapists, each with an unimaginable client to therapist ratio, are able successfully taylor individualized treatment objectives for their clients. We are able to get consistent, engaging, & experienced professionals helping to guide us through the maze that is mental illness.
As overwhelmed, underfunded, and understaffed mental health service providers are apt to be, we are a few of the lucky ones. Way too many mentally ill people don't receive and/or have the resources to access this essential health care. They fall between the cracks and are endangered, or have the potential to endanger others.
All in all, I can't say enough good things about my therapist, my PA, and all the administrative staff. They have always been kind, professional, friendly, helpful, and most importantly, empathetic. Thank you all!

I can only speak for my experience with my mom as an elder mental patient. I reached out after months of no luck in Manhattan seeking a therapist and psych for my mom who had a crisis in winter 2018. This clinic called me 2 days after i emailed them. We had Lissette as a therapist and she was wonderful. She has since left and my mom started doing psycho therapy at home due to limited mobility. We are still with her psych in the midst of the pandemic for now 3 years and I am happy. Sometimes I have to clarify a point here and there with the pysch. I think sometimes they get caught up knowing everything they know and unintentionally forget we lay people are struggling and also feel pain with our loved one experiencing mental illness. The point is it takes a community and so long as everyone is willing to communicate and actually listen we can all move forward together. As the daughter of an elderly patient with mental illness my experience has been good but you need to step up and advocate for your loved one and do follow up. When any doctor who is respectable sees you are involved they will also do their best. So overall no complaints. I am glad i decided to venture out of Manhattan to the Bronx and found a great place.

I went for one on one therapy and was extremely pleased with my therapist. She was excellent, caring, kind, compassionate and was always concerned about my well being. Sadly I could not continue going due to changes in insurance. I haven't been able to find anyone as good as her since. My only complaint is that this facility only seems to accept Medicaid/managed care and not other major insurances. But I think the reason for that is that their services are more geared towards special cases such as Veterans, disabled etc.
Update: My review is based on treatment before this clinic was acquired by Mosaic Health.

My father was brought into the ER in May and then admitted for the next ten days, before being put on hospice track. There are no words to describe my gratitude and appreciation for everything the staff of St. Joseph's done for him and our family. Every step of the care was absolutely flawless, each doctor, specialist, nurse, attendant, and case worker showed not only great professionalism but also profound empathy on the human level. My special thanks to the weekend ER team, the 7th floor ICU team, the wonderful team on the 5th floor, each and every one of these wonderful human beings who accompanied us on this heartbreaking journey, who made it bearable.
