I’ve seen people leaving reviews of this place? Complaining about the food? Complaining that they were bored? You can always go out and smoke some more crack if you’d like! I went to this place 16 years ago. They helped me get into long-term treatment. I’m 16 years sober. After trying to get sober for about 20 years prior to that. If I had to take a guess? I’d say the people on here who were bitching about the food or their boredom? Are out somewhere getting high right now.

New hope for me was a great experience, the staff are amazing, food is great & everything else was a bonus!! Prayer group every night , AA meetings once, twice a day, art therapy sessions, games, movies, puzzles etc. You get out it what you want to! Apply yourself and be grateful for the chance to change or redirect your life

My children see Taylor and she is the absolute best of the best. I have never met someone who is so willing to advocate for not only my kids but for me as a parent as well. Even when I have to join her for a session she listens to my side and gives me advice on how to go about it. I have become a mother I never thought I could be because of her help. My kids have made so many changes in behavior thanks to her. I wish I could take her with me when I move. People like her don't come often and anyone would be lucky to have her as a therapist.

Taylor Eckhaus is finally the therapist my teenage child needs. She is an advocate but she also makes my child self reflect which is not easy for an autistic teenager. She specializes in LGBtQ+ clientele. But she also advocates for my child’s rights at school. I couldn’t ask for a better therapist for my child. She totally sees and understands my child’s issues. Taylor is the first therapist that my child feels comfortable with and trusts enough to open up to.

Many resources if you want them. You have to WANT to get better and make some life changes if you're going into a place like this. Definitely not the Hilton, lol. Lot of "out of order" facilities, but hey, it's a safe place to stay while you're working on getting better and there is always someone to talk to, even if it's 2 am. There are connections to outpatient therapy and free vocational resources. Oh yeah, you get your own room with a key. Sometimes life is what you make it.

Great service offered to persons in need they have a methadone clinic and a residence. It is like a one-stop shop except there is no detox service offered. There are groups and structured programs for clients. I know of persons who have used the service and are now successful. If they did it, so can others. Staff listen to clients and create a system that caters to each and meet them where they at, while holding your hand safely during the process. Well done and thanks

I attended the Job Fair and must say that it was well organized and a great turn out. The staff at VIP was professional and courteous.

My daughter have almost a year coming here and I’m so glad she was able to found a person that can connect with her and help her to process so much. Went here for a couple months in 2022, specifically the therapist Casey was a huge help when my dad passed and made an effort to help me figure out I had depression and helped my family get through tough times and helped us with donations, who also helped my family in 2016 and donated toys ❤️❤️❤️

‘Hurt People , Hurt People’. I needed a free therapist and was able to have 5 intake sessions with a pleasant young woman. I benefited from these sessions as it is always rewarding when we analyze and acknowledge what is going on in our lives. So much was happening for me and I was not able to attend all the assigned sessions. Management was not able to communicate in a responsible or mature manner; I wonder maybe they too are prior clients who have graduated but do not have a total grip on their situation and sometimes need help themselves. My very pleasant intake person became insensitive, cold, ‘passive aggressive’ and quite non communicative. I lead the conversation and realized that I was being ‘expelled’. I really don’t know the reason as I do believe she has her own issues and the Leadership is not of a strong foundation with knowledge of servicing a diverse clientele. Such a shame because this has the potential to be a top notch program in a great community. I only wish I was able to find an experienced, strong, qualified leadership that is familiar with diversity and respect. I was feeling hurt as this was the second time I had to deal with leadership’s lack of sensitivity. It should not be just a JOB when people come to you for help. Fix the structure of this place.

In the 2 years I’ve been going I’ve never been treated with anything other than the utmost respect everyone always asks about the baby and genuinely care about how I’m doing. Marion is an exceptional counselor, I truly believe without her support and all the other staff of course I would’ve never come this far. Thank you guys. Anyone considering help please go and allow yourself to be helped because recovery is possible.

My mother was under the care of the Gynecologic Oncology team and stayed on Floor 6 – Cardiac during her hospital stay. Our experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Communication from the team was poor, and we were repeatedly given false hope instead of clear, honest updates about her condition. The doctors failed to communicate with each other, leading to contradictory and confusing care. For example, the nutritionist expressed confusion about why my mother was placed on a liquid diet when she was asking to eat. During her stay, some nurses showed a lack of empathy and professionalism that no patient should ever experience. My mother complained about being left soiled for hours, though there were a couple of nurses who were kind and attentive. Her phone was stolen by staff while she was hospitalized, and despite reaching out to the Patient Advocate team, I never received a response or any follow-up. The room conditions were unacceptable. Her room was left dirty for days, with garbage and bacteria accumulating. Family members were forced to sanitize the area ourselves because staff failed to maintain basic hygiene standards. No patient battling cancer should be treated in such unsanitary conditions. Sadly, my mother passed away under their care. The lack of transparency, communication, compassion, cleanliness, and accountability we encountered was unacceptable. I am currently exploring legal options and have photos and videos documenting the conditions and neglect. I strongly urge anyone seeking care here to get a second opinion before it’s too late and to advocate firmly for your loved one at every stage of treatment.

My stepfather fell at the airport, broke his hip and had an emergency surgery at Newark Medical Center. He stayed for almost a week. Every single person he encountered during his stay was amazing! Surgeons, doctors, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, cleaning and food personnel: all the staff without exception was caring, joyful, kind, professional and went above and beyond to care for his needs. THANK YOU so much to all of you from him and from my entire family. I’ve accompanied family members at many hospitals and never before encountered this outstanding level of service.

Craig was supposed to handle the matter but was unsuccessful. Juana made it happen. Please make sure to ask for Juana if you need assistance. Also, if you require documentation, please ask for copies or email them to you so that you can have proof that the work was completed. Do not leave there unless you obtain copies or some proof of completion. You rock Juana!

Today is my 43 birthday and I am so grateful to Project Outreach saving my life. I am sober and my mental health has never been better. I am a single mother of two children who suffers from major depression and alcoholism. A little over a year ago I walk into Project Outreach broken like never before. I was scare because I lost hope. Their treatment plan saved me. I will like to give Stephanie Blackwood an special shout out because I would not have made it this far without her expertise and compassion towards me. Emdr is a great treatment for trauma. The Recovery groups are lead by an amazing team of experts. All the therapist, psychiatrist and more are at master level and above. However, it’s not just their education, it’s their compassion and honesty that matters and was essential to my recovery. I celebrating my 43 bday sober and happy because of Project Outreach. I just so grateful to them and will give back to them what they given to me and that’s hope to others who struggle. Thank you.
