Choice Point offers excellent mental health services with group and individual therapeutic sessions. When I began the program, I was assigned to Jeff Gish. As I worked the program and had inevitable difficulties, Jeff went way beyond his counselor role and engaged me as a friend. That was the turning point for me that helped ensure my recovery. Everybody shoots straight here and you truly know how much they care about your mental health oh, and the medical services are equally valuable. They helped me find medications that worked for me and were always attentive when I called. I can t say enough about Jeff and Choice Point. They helped me turn my life around and that deserves all the stars in the heavens.

I ve completed the IOP and OP program at Mountainside which I found to be incredibly helpful in my recovery. These secessions are psychoeducational, with the goal of learning about addiction in a group setting.After I completed I began to work with a recovery coach to help strengthen my recovery and commitment to remaining sober. My recovery Coach, Christina, is truly amazing. She checks in with me daily and we meet twice a week. We discuss what I am doing for my recovery on a daily basis and potential roadblocks I may encounter as I continue my journey of recovery. She also serves as a wonderful communicator with my loved ones and sharing my progress with them. She is always available for me when I need to reach out. Christina also helps me get back on track and is a great tool to help me rebuild my life.Most importantly, Christina truly cares about my recovery. She is so important in my journey through this new way of life and I highly recommend to all in recovery of looking into a recovery coach. I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina.Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. Most important she has helped keep our sons recovery moving positively forward day after day.

I have been going to this Bronx VA location since 1988, when it was my very 1st visit to the ER. The Dr's and nurses gave me exceptional treatment, both in the ER and as inpatient. I didn't start using this facility again until about 2019. And let me tell you that for me nothing has changed. I still receive excellent care both as inpatient and outpatient. It's has far better quality than Montefiore!!!!

I live in Morristown & after I had my yearly mammogram, I needed a call back for a second mammogram & ultrasound. Unfortunately, I was then told on 1/24 that I needed a biopsy & the first appointment I could get at the Carol Simon Breast Center was a month later on 2/24. I told them that that was unacceptable & that I wasn t going to wait. I then found Chilton Medical Center & I was able to get my biopsy 6 days later 1/30, meet with my surgeon on 2/7, & was operated on 2/27/25, 3 days after what MMC offered as their first open appointment. My entire experience was 180 from the stressful, impersonal, over-grown hospital city of Morristown Medical Center. Chilton is the way Morristown used to be when it was known as Morristown Memorial Hospital small, personal, stress free, great doctors & staff, the free parking is right in front of the Collins Pavilion Cancer Treatment Center Building. No one ever wants cancer on their Bingo card, but my entire experience has been a positive one, thanks to my fantastic doctors & staff at Chilton. I believe my ability to get immediate treatment, instead of having to wait a month just to have a biopsy, made a huge difference & why I am now cancer free. I will be starting my radiation treatment & oncology care at Chilton, too. I will always think of Chilton Medical Center as my hospital of choice. I highly recommend anyone who is fed up with & overwhelmed by the experience patients get at Morristown Medical Center, try Chilton Medical Center it s a well kept secret worth trying.

I have been to the ED on several occasions recently and I have to say the entire team has been excellent. From the triage nurses, diagnostic imaging, techs, transport, etc., they all have been professional, respectable and caring. I have seen PA Stansfield on several of my visits and his bedside manner is unremarkable. He is calming, caring, compassionate and most of all understanding. I would recommend this facility.

Great service offered to persons in need they have a methadone clinic and a residence. It is like a one-stop shop except there is no detox service offered. There are groups and structured programs for clients. I know of persons who have used the service and are now successful. If they did it, so can others. I was mandated by a judge to go there for 3 months. I spent 7 1/2 months there and it was the best thing to happen to me. I am clean and sober since 12/3/23 . I am indebted to all the staff and fellow Brothers Christopher for the sobriety I now enjoy. I haven't had this much sober time since 1986.

As of January 31 2025, they are selling Gluten Free Brownies (not egg or dairy free) in the Bistro Cafeteria. Those Sweet Street brownies are perfect: Moist, sweet, fudgy, a cake like texture full of chocolate heaven. They are chocolate divinity, chocolate paradise.I am very pleased to see progress toward more options for people who are on a gluten free diet. The cafeteria food is very good. The counseling center is a welcoming safe place. The counselors are nice and very informative about addiction and mental health. The staff sees you as a person not as an addict which is a pleasure not to be judged. The clinical director Dair runs a tight program I would recommend the center to anyone my experience has been awesome

Kam was my brother in law s RN. She is kind and caring. She deserves a daisy award. She is respectful to the family as well. Marvet and Margaret our aids are caring and go above and beyond for my brother in law. In addition, Umber our PT is amazing! He calmed Al down and did something no one else could do all week that he has been at CHR-he got Al to sit on the side of the bed, diverted his intense fear of falling, got him to see the positive progress and had him participating in his exercises. This is a miracle! We now see some signs of hope! TY to these wonderful health care professionals show they care and provide positive results. Thank you !!!!!

They took great care of my elderly mom, the sweetest most caring nurses and doctors. The rooms were immaculate and the food was real good. I recently had a procedure at Phelps Hospital with Dr. Karli Goldstein, and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was. I traveled from Long Island for this procedure, and from the moment I stepped into the hospital, I was truly blown away.The lobby was beautiful, the registration process was smooth and efficient, and I was quickly brought to a private room that was both comfortable and calming. The nursing staff was absolutely incredible attentive, compassionate, and understanding. I have severe anxiety, and they went above and beyond to make me feel at ease, turning what could have been a stressful experience into the best it could possibly be.Dr. Goldstein and the entire team at Phelps Hospital provided exceptional care, and I am beyond grateful. Straight & Narrow is not perfect, but neither is anyone. They have they're flaws and imperfections just like I do. If the place was absolutely perfect people would find something to complain about. It's just how it goes. I had a warm bed, hot food, and although the groups were limited, it was my choice to attend more than I was scheduled to go to. So that's what I did. People complained about group time and then complained about down time because they were bored.. I guess it's a journey that is decided individually. I opted to go to every group everyday and every opportunity I had I would volunteer for things to do to help. I was rarely bored and always looked forward to the weekdays rather than weekends because I liked the groups. They didn't keep me longer than originally discussed when I arrived as others were saying. But then again, maybe others didn't participate to their potential or maybe others didn't take the initiative to show their counselors what their intentions were. Some people want to get better and some people are court ordered to be there. The. Some, like me, were court ordered but wanted to get better. I completed a relapse prevention plan to present to my counselor and constantly asked her for more work books to better myself so she knew my intention was authentic. I guess I just felt that it was important for me to clarify my experience there because nobody pointed out anything positive, here's something. THE PLACE GAVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE, IF YOU DONT TAKE IT AND IMMERSE YOURSELF INTO YOUR RECOVERY, YOUR DOOMED TO REPEAT HISTORY. The only shot we have is inside of us, the four walls doesn't mean a whole lot. it's your personal motivation.. Ask yourself what you want more and why. Thank you straight & narrow for the opportunity to take advantage of your program and I couldn't be more pleased with the majority of the staff. My counselor, Emily, was a super helpful person and important role in my early recovery. She challenged my answers, which I respect, and she also made me be accountable for my own recovery. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants recovery and isn't worried more about the color of the paint or what mattress they have, that person probably doesn't want recovery to begin with....

At the age of 21 I was lost and hopeless. Ran with the wrong crowd and had a substance abuse problem. Liberation House was the turning point for me. I entered in the spring of 1974 and graduated in 1976 with a baby girl (a first at Lib House 9/10/1974). I was given the opportunity to completed my education, got a GED, and went on to National Academy of hairdressing. I m still in touch with a few of my comrades. I ve gone n to have a successful life, one day at a time.
