I just gave birth here for the 3rd time in 4 years and every time has been a good experience. It’s a clean, bright hospital with the most wonderful staff. No birth goes according to plan and every pregnancy had its challenges but throughout all 3 I felt comfortable I was in the right place. In 2022 and 2024 I delivered with Dr. Polak who is no longer there but was amazing from wk 6 to 40. She educated me along the way and when it was time to have the babies I knew I was in good hands. We delivered my second on Super Bowl Sunday and she didn’t have to but she came to deliver the baby even though she wasn’t on call. This time around I saw more doctors than I’d like to admit but every single residence, nurse, and Dr coached me and guided me throughout the process. I then had to come back days later and saw more of the familiar faces who immediately put me at ease. While I’d love to name everyone, my night nurse, Sierra Simmons, was my rock. She was my 3rd nurse of the delivery night but when she was asked to switch patients, saw my face and asked if she could stay on with me. She did and even though shift change happens at 7am, at 7:19am when I got that baby out, she was still holding my hand. When I came back days later, she saw my name and was my night nurse again through the crappy magnesium drip and dizziness. Dr. Davis actually saw me 3/3 on babies and we were so close this time to her being the delivering Dr! You’re amazing and I love telling the story about the Dr who knew me all 3 deliveries. Dr. Bentley, worked some magic and convinced the baby to turn and we got the baby out safely. And of course Dr. Tomlinson who probably taught them all, was there for the late night calls and panics and told me to get my butt back to the hospital when I felt something was wrong. Go have a baby here and thank every one along the way!
I had a great time in Oceanside Counseling. I’m glad it’s close by and my therapist Kieran is a godsend. He is so understanding and made me feel heard.
