The counseling center staff are truly dedicated at providing excellent rehabilitation services. I have been to an inpatient facility where this was not the case, and have nothing but positive things to say about the counseling center. Dair, Tim, Kristen and Kristine helped me build strong mental habits and skills for managing the emotional stress that led to my use. Wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars

Celebrating 8 years sober this week, and I wanted to reflect on my time at Silver Hill, and express the deep gratitude I have for this facility. This place truly saved my life! After multiple failed attempts at other facilities, this place laid a lasting, strong foundation for my long term recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction, and mental health struggles. It is the most incredibly warm, nurturing, and loving environment for early recovery, and it truly transformed my life. I am forever grateful for the time I spent at Silver Hill. Beautiful campus— they separate the units into houses, so you recover in a homelike setting, rather than a sterile hospital room. They had an amazing staff, full of very knowledgeable doctors and therapists, and I learned so much about myself during my stay there. If I could give it a million stars, I would. My wife had a minor surgery done here. Relatively clean and tidy facility. Also a decent level of privacy compared to other hospitals we’ve had procedures done. Staff were kind, patient, and thorough. They mostly seem pretty happy, which engenders a lot of confidence in their system. Yes, there was a lot of waiting, but that’s every hospital. Surgery scheduled for 1:00, started at 2:00.

We want to thank Phelps Hospital ER from the bottom of our hearts. My husband was sick with high fever, turns out he had pneumonia. Every person who interacted with us was very kind, helpful, responsive, courteous, caring and prompt. They took him in quickly. Assigned him a nice room with a door and curtain. Everywhere was clean, everything and everyone was very orderly. They quickly did the work up, started the IV fluids, gave the nebulizer and painkillers. Dr. Nick was very cool. Big thanks to our nurse Ryan, super organized, super helpful. My husband received the treatment he needed, was feeling much better when we were leaving. We were done in less than 4 hours. We certainly did not expect our ER experience to turn out this way. Thank you for this pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina.
Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.
Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.
Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it’s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife’s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. Most important she has helped keep our sons recovery moving positively forward day after day.

Westport House is well managed and well run. It has all the amenities you could ask for, with resources to get every aspect of your life back on track. The management and staff cares about you, and that's important when trying to better yourself. They really give you an upper hand. I hope I don't need to, but I would recommend anyone to stay here to get their life back on track, and I would again in a heartbeat.

After years of trying everything we could think of, my wife and I finally found Westport House. Our son was admitted quickly and efficiently, and, from that point on, our experience was incredible. After a couple of months we saw a noticeable change in our son. The staff was very timely in their correspondence with us and always treated us appropriately. During his time there, our son became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, obtained employment, and began treating us and others with a level of respect we did not know he was capable of. He stayed there for 7 months, and I can say, it was very much worth every penny. Our son is still sober today and continues to attend the AA meetings that he went to during his time at Westport House. We cannot thank Westport House enough for giving us our son back. After 7 painful years, the change that he was able to make in his life is incredible, and it is all thanks to the great staff and services at Westport House.

After being in and out of many different rehabs, it was at Westport House that I learned how to live a brand new life. The staff was kind, loving, and compassionate. They showed me the way up and out of the horrible rut I was in. They also helped my family understand addiction, and what they needed to do to help me, and themselves. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and the incredibly supportive! Being able to see their therapists and clinical team was also essential in aiding my recovery. I'm so grateful for the life Westport House gave me.

At first, I was a little skeptical about going to a VA facility, but I took the risk, and it ended up being a great experience. They gave me proper attention and were nice to me. It's kind of hard to know where all things are inside the building, but the care they gave me was good.

I was so lost and giving up on life and a few good suggestions brought me here. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I now have hope and a blueprint that I follow to live a life in recovery. I could never thank them enough

Since there, in 2017, I had one slip up about a year after I graduated, but that was almost 8 years ago now. Since then, I went to welding school, they set me up in a halfway house in NYC, moved back home to Rochester, NY. MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I’ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I’ve been to. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I’ve also seen some negative, and it’s a shame those people didn’t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don’t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for the start of my recovery journey. Turnbridge Westport has excellent, knowledgeable, and kind staff who really care about their patients. Their IOP and OP programs have been extremely helpful for me, and the one-on-one therapy sessions have also helped me tremendously. Furthermore, they have an awesome psychiatric nurse practitioner on staff who has really gotten to know me as a patient and didn’t just push pills on me. I would give them infinity stars if I could!!

Honestly they have the best IOP and OP programs and most amazing and helpful therapists. They played a huge part in saving me and helping me start my life over again and I couldn't have done it without the help of their more than helpful and caring staff and the best therapist, Nicole!!!!!! Wanted to take a moment to dote on counselor Richelle Atkins. She has been instrumental in helping me change my life and work through my addiction. When you find someone like Richelle who is not just passionate about her job but truly cares for the people and community - that kind of dedication to the cause helps me to feel not so alone. Judgement has no place at Restorative and Richelle is a true reflection of that. I could tell her anything and she would only try and make it better for me or challenge me to think of how I can do better in the future. Monte Nido Irvington absolutely saved my life. I had been suffering from my ED for years & treatment wasn’t really helping me. Irvington actually showed me that recovery is possible, and that I can actually do well in life. My therapist, Meg, is an absolute gem who cared so much about me and my case. I really connected with her. She never lost hope. Most of the therapist & RC’s there are incredible and really made a difference in my recovery and life. I'm actually still a patient in the hospital right now. Only problem I have is the food is to bland. So nasty. They definitely need a better cook. But the staff is amazing. Kerri Ann, kat, and the entire 4th floor ICU and the entire 5th floor staff is amazing. They definitely goes above and beyond for the patients. The doctor's are amazing. Wonderful nurse staff. They talk with patients and explain everything in details. Attitudes are amazing. Definitely no complaints. Housekeeping is amazing. Transport is amazing. Basically the entire hospital staff is amazing. All I'm saying is thank you for everything

Is the place . If it was forced upon you or just not ready then may be the place but it may take you more than 1 attempt . In the beginning it’s about reducing amount of your intake substance as you increase amount of medication. That amount and that pace is unique to the individual and CCC recognizes that and also respects that . As long as you trend in proper direction and continue to show progress you have the support of your Counselor. Once stabilized they develop your treatment plan. When you have decreased and eliminated substances and have found a comfortable level of medication dosage that is when you now replaced your bad habit routine with a daily monitored stabilized routine that also is unique to the comfort level of individual discussing a wide range of topics with your assigned counselor: once trust is earned having clean random monthly tests you don’t have to be at the facility unless you chose to and you can begin to take home monitored medication to responsibly proceed with your outpatient program. Your counselor will encourage the timing the is best to decrease at the pace that works for you until you are done and substance free. So much better than 30 day, 90 day ,12 month 0r any predetermined length of time programs because every person is unique whether they feel confident they can do it in a year, 3 yrs, 5 , 10 or stay with this support system as a new part of life what is important is that new life is what you WANTED to achieve and join the team of success stories! In most other reviews I agree that it is about money for the center , but what business , paying their employees ,is not about making money to stay afloat? Also not all counselors are ex addicts that have felt & know exactly what & how we feel, but we can open up & let them learn about the uncontrollable disease & struggles of how our mind works!

Have been a patient here for multiple years. Maria went out of her way multiple times to help me; as well as my current counselor Nicole. If you comply with their program it can be life changing. Please disregard negative comments. Their nurses-June,Vicki,Jim. Etc are awesome, encouraging, and professional. Recovery is difficult but the staff here is great.

I gotta say … I went to Arm Acres in early 2000 I was 17 going to 18 years old …. I’m so thankful for them they help me I wish I can see the stuff in my time again and tell them thank you .. Also I was inpatient for 90 day .. I had the choice to go back home or go to another program for longer term .. cause the choice I make in that time in my life went to the other program I can say I’m alive clean for many years now ..
