The counseling center staff are truly dedicated at providing excellent rehabilitation services. I have been to an inpatient facility where this was not the case, and have nothing but positive things to say about the counseling center. Dair, Tim, Kristen and Kristine helped me build strong mental habits and skills for managing the emotional stress that led to my use. Wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars

The counseling center is a welcoming safe place. The counselors are nice and very informative about addiction and mental health. The staff sees you as a person not as an addict which is a pleasure not to be judged. The clinical director Dair runs a tight program I would recommend the center to anyone my experience has been awesome

I ve completed the IOP and OP program at Mountainside which I found to be incredibly helpful in my recovery. These secessions are psychoeducational, with the goal of learning about addiction in a group setting. After I completed I began to work with a recovery coach to help strengthen my recovery and commitment to remaining sober. My recovery Coach, Christina, is truly amazing. She checks in with me daily and we meet twice a week. We discuss what I am doing for my recovery on a daily basis and potential roadblocks I may encounter as I continue my journey of recovery. She also serves as a wonderful communicator with my loved ones and sharing my progress with them. She is always available for me when I need to reach out. Christina also helps me get back on track and is a great tool to help me rebuild my life. Most importantly, Christina truly cares about my recovery. She is so important in my journey through this new way of life and I highly recommend to all in recovery of looking into a recovery coach. I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina.Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. Most important she has helped keep our sons recovery moving positively forward day after day.

After years of trying everything we could think of, my wife and I finally found Westport House. Our son was admitted quickly and efficiently, and, from that point on, our experience was incredible. After a couple of months we saw a noticeable change in our son. The staff was very timely in their correspondence with us and always treated us appropriately. During his time there, our son became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, obtained employment, and began treating us and others with a level of respect we did not know he was capable of. He stayed there for 7 months, and I can say, it was very much worth every penny. Our son is still sober today and continues to attend the AA meetings that he went to during his time at Westport House. We cannot thank Westport House enough for giving us our son back. After 7 painful years, the change that he was able to make in his life is incredible, and it is all thanks to the great staff and services at Westport House.

I want to say first and foremost thank you to Monte Nido River Towns for truly being the reason that I am here today and able to live my life free from my eating disorder. I cannot thank every single person enough that worked there while I was admitted for there unconditional care and support. Each staff member held the hope for me when I felt like there was nothing left for me to do in this world. This treatment center will always hold a special place in my heart. I conquered some of my worst fears and rituals. I faced some of the most traumatic experiences in my life. I got a glimpse of what my life could like without the life thief always trying to make me feel undeserving of worthiness and love. The list is endless for me to name every single person who played a role in my healing process. Some of the few people who I need to give a shout out to is Megan (recovery coach), Naomi (recovery coach), Joe (therapist) and Maria (chef). Thank you for being the most beautiful souls I have ever known and believing in me even when I did not. If you are struggling and reassurance then this is the voice of reason to step forward and follow through with the admission. You deserve recovery. As a loved one of someone going into a detox facility, I had a wonderful experience with Arms Acres. Before he got to Arms Acres, I took my loved one to another facility. He had a bed and it was planned for him to go there. I dropped him off. They knew that he had used before he got there. Many people do before going into rehab. I also told them he hadn t slept in 24hrs because of the anxiety going there. I made sure he was checked in and left. I was about to hit home 3hrs away and he called me to tell me he that they called him a cab to go to another place but he didn t know where. I told him to put me on the phone with the front desk. They told me he was going to another place because the intake took too long because he was inebriated. They gave me the name of the place - Arms Acres. I hung up to call Arms to confirm he had a bed there. When I called they had no idea. No name. No call from the place. Nothing. I spoke to Angel at Arms Acres - who truly was an angel!! I was scared to death because I knew he was in a cab with no where to go if they wouldn t take him. It was freezing cold out and I was 3 hrs away!!! Angel and their staff were so awesome. They made a bed for him even though they didn t really have any. Angel assured me he would be ok. Thank God for her! I was soooo furious with the other place. I m not mentioning their name because I know there are people who truly care and those who do not. The people at that place that night def seemed to not care where he was going to end up and never confirmed with Arms Acres that he even had a bed there. He was on methadone and other medication. He had a successful detox at Arms and then went to another place to do his rehab work. Thank you so much to Angel and the other staff who were there that night!!

When you find someone like Richelle who is not just passionate about her job but truly cares for the people and community - that kind of dedication to the cause helps me to feel not so alone. Judgement has no place at Restorative and Richelle is a true reflection of that. I could tell her anything and she would only try and make it better for me or challenge me to think of how I can do better in the future. Was on floor 5 north, 90% of the staff, security, techs, consolers, was kind and gave you the same respect that you showed them, the rest (aka karens bulldog looking ass) seemed beyond miserable and took more pride in being sarcastic every chance she got rather than helping, and seemed like they looked at this place only for the money, not to feel good about helping those who need the hand. Certain group meetings got a little bit repetitive, was here for 2 weeks and went over the same things multiple different times, but sometimes that s good to get it drilled into your head. The place is beyond freezing, not many clocks around so you lose track of time easily, takes some time to get your belongings after you ve been processed and sent upstairs, not enough opportunities to go outside; once a week is not suffice, other than those things the place treated me fairly, was a good experience that i d love to never go through again. Ms. Lydia, katie, and isaac were all extremely great, kind, happy people to have been around.

I am extremely grateful for the care and attention from all the staff I've come to expect. It is astounding that these wonderful therapists, each with an unimaginable client to therapist ratio, are able successfully taylor individualized treatment objectives for their clients. We are able to get consistent, engaging, & experienced professionals helping to guide us through the maze that is mental illness. As overwhelmed, underfunded, and understaffed mental health service providers are apt to be, we are a few of the lucky ones. Way too many mentally ill people don't receive and/or have the resources to access this essential health care. They fall between the cracks and are endangered, or have the potential to endanger others. All in all, I can't say enough good things about my therapist, my PA, and all the administrative staff. They have always been kind, professional, friendly, helpful, and most importantly, empathetic. Thank you all!
