I have been going to Lifeways for five years now and they have helped me so much! Maggie is the nurse there but she also sees clients out in the community. She is absolutely wonderful! She has been so helpful to me and extremely supportive. And she is the nicest woman. I just love her! She is always on time and she is always very friendly and she has taught me so many things and she has encouraged me in so many ways. I will forever be grateful for her! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a very compassionate caring woman that helps with all kinds of things. And I want to thank her so much for being there for me all these years! And I will continue to see her for as long as possible. I’m so thankful I have her help! I honestly don’t know where I would be mentally without her. And I enjoy our time together so much. She really is a woman who knows a lot about helping people and supporting people and truly being there for people. I’m forever thankful for her!

I visited the VA in Walla Walla on Tuesday, April 28th while accompanying a client to an appointment. During our visit, I stopped by the retail store, which I’ve visited a few times before, but this experience stood out more than any other. The employee helping us, I believe her name was Shelly or Shelby, was incredibly welcoming, attentive & genuinely kind. Her energy & level of care truly made a lasting impression. I also wanted to mention how fresh the food was & how many great options were available. It made it easy for both my client & I to find something we enjoyed. Everything tasted amazing, & my latte was especially good. She also had excellent music playing, which made the atmosphere even better. It was bittersweet hearing that the retail store will be closing & that she’ll be leaving as well. I’m grateful we had the opportunity to experience her kindness & service during one of her final days there. She truly made our visit memorable. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

It was extremely difficult to make an apt to be seen. I called many times and each time I was told that someone would call me back. It took weeks for this to happen. But I was seen here today and found the nurse and doctor to be very pleasant. So I'm changing this from a poor review (where I complained about phone service) to this favorable review. I really appreciated everyone I encountered in this office. The nurse and doctor were warm, caring and excellent listeners. I really appreciated the service that I received. The nurse was a warm as any I've ever seen. It's obvious that she cares a great deal for her patient! But making that appointment was EXTREMELY difficult. I called many times and many times I was promised that someone would call me back, but it took weeks for this to actually happen.

State Hospital North is a psychiatric hospital in Orofino, Idaho. They provide inpatient care for adults who need immediate help for severe mental illness. They also treat co-occurring conditions, like drug and alcohol addictions. Most people attend this program under a civil commitment offered through the court system. The facility can hold up to
The rumors of this place are absolutely ludicrous. This is a very caring facility. A care plan is organized from start to finish. Organized activities all the time. Whether or not you feel they are correct is besides the point. Hear them out. Most of the people working there are nurses. They have licensed Doctors video call you alone in a private room. They also have licensed mental health professionals visit you weekly. My doctor was in California. And my counselor was local that saw me every week, her name was Dawn. Like many places it's hit and miss as far as nice people. We are only human, so leave judgement to God. These people go above the standard care. It can be frustrating but they listen intently. The daily classes are a pain but informative. The volunteer are regular dad's and moms that lead their own lives and put aside times to come in for an hour or more a day to speak to those of us that need help or guidance. Ask any question you want. They laugh, they smile, they communicate. It's set up as a peer election system in both wings. You have president, vice president and secretary. Every morning an announcement is read from the president. Vice president makes special announcements. Secretary reads breakfast lunch and dinner menu. The goal is to be president but everyone matters here. Every morning and every night everyone is required to be present. To check-in. Voice concerns, or suggestions. That part is strictly peer ran. But yeah, I have seen first hand what staff deals with. People stripping in their room and coming out butt naked, to being cussed out, things thrown at them. These nurses, doctors, and volunteers DO NOT get enough credit. I lost it when my mom passed away and my family saw that struggle. They suggested professional help. This place allowed me a safe environment to just pause honestly, and get my head right. But you know what they say about horses. You can lead them to water but you can't make em drink it. So be open minded. They can look deep into your history to see if there are other leading causes to a crisis. What ever the nature of it may be. Back to activities. They have a nicely kept gym, with full array of exercise equipment. Tred mills. Basket ball court. Movie nights with snacks and soda. They of course have arts and crafts. They have time set aside in the morning for ladies where you can do your make-up if it gets approved. Yes your own items. You may have your own clothes. They have a room where there's a WII gaming system. A VCR is also in that room with a small selection of movies. Coffee or tea 24/7. Water. They have snacks available pretty much all the time. Crackers, fruits, peanut butter. I loved having snacks when I'd wake up from nightmares. I'd go and chat with whoever was on night shift that night. You can request coloring pages from a big binder full and they will make you a copy to color or if you ask nicely they will print out a specific one from the internet. They have a library with many books, and computer access. OH the coolest part was the outside activities. We had a day where they brought in a karaoke machine and a book full of songs to choose from. So much fun!!! Anyways, Medications every morning at 9am, and every night at 9pm. ONLY what is prescribed BY their doctor. Nothing is forced. Everything is recorded in a log book. You can request ibuprofen or something you may need other than what's prescribed. If you feel a change or want to stop something, the staff makes a note of it in your file, then your doctor is informed and you discuss it with only them when it's time to check-in again. Showers in your room, you have to request your tub of stuff, ladies can shave but someone sits outside your room for that duration of the time. Cause its a sharp thingy. Meals there were absolutely delicious. Their courtyard is gorgeous with all the flowers. They give you an MP3 player that they will put music on for you to listen to. That was my go to everyday with coffee and coloring pages. I was only away from my family for 5 months but it was worth it. 🤍👍🏻

I read many of the other reviews, and I have to disagree. I have been is so many placements, I have never been in a home longer than I year. With such a crappy life and only being 15 years old, I found NCH to be a game changer. I found help and had an amazing counselor. Problems only aroused if a peer caused one. Staff only held you accountable for what you did and gave you fair consequences. The opportunities NCH presents to youth like me are huge. The things NCH does for children is amazing. I should probably add that I left a month ago. If you ever read this "The Halocheif 1177", I am afraid that Alex doesn't work there anymore. Carry does, though. Anyway, I feel that anybody looking to send their child there should absolutely do so. And to all the reviews that say it's a horrible place and all that, I have two things for you. Had you accepted the help the children's home offered, I'm sure you would take responsibility for your actions. Also, if NCH is such a bad, horrible place, why have they been around since 1908?

I just spent my 90 days there for my alcohol addiction. Overall I had a good experience. I had a great counselor, great teachers. The classes were just that, classes. It’s a rehab. It’s boring sometimes, sometimes there isn’t anything to do. But hey, sobriety has that too. Most of the TA’s were cool. Cigs, chew, vapes were allowed, it just had to be at specific times outside. Phones were allowed, just not during class or in the admin building. The food was good and the ladies in the kitchen are genuinely nice people. I enjoyed going to AA, but you could go to NA if you want with the TA’s. Overall it was a good experience and I appreciated the people there. I honestly think you get what you put into it. I appreciated the time I had and I am happy to be sober.

For the first time in my life I have a therapist who listens and doesn't try to solve. She guides me through acknowledging my emotions and naming root issues that could be informing how I cope. I've had MANY therapists who hear what I've been through and how I have been coping only to shrug and say "it sounds like you're doing everything right, I don't know how else to help you". I've been with my therapist for over a year now and she's always compassionate, understanding, and willing to work with my fluctuating schedule. The front desk has always been kind to us, though the initial wait to get in was almost a whole year itself. Both my children also have therapists here and they have great things to say about them. I'm very thankful for PRC and hope they continue to work on improving mental health for the Palouse.

First thing I was pleased with was how quickly my family and I were accepted and seen. We are blessed to be counseled by Richard Seigler who always responds when we need him, and the office is warm and inviting like sitting in our home living room. They have really helped our family dynamic. Connected us with all the resources needed and we never felt judged which is very important to me. If you’re looking for help from good people don’t hesitate to call them. We have never had a problem with communication, or call backs. I've even seen people walk-in and try to demand immediate services and they were always polite to them. (They are just like any other office, you can't just call, or show up and expect that they are available. However you’ll be pleasantly surprised how they will do their best to get you in quickly.) They just really care and we couldn’t be happier with them (Enrich Therapy) If you need counseling, definitely give them a call and ask for Richard Seigler

Richard Seigler as booked as he, surprisingly made it super easy to book with him. He answered all my questions making me super comfortable, and confident choosing him. He is very professional, caring, and highly competent. He is extremely conscientious about maintaining client confidentiality, and works hard with his clients to tailor therapy to the specific needs/challenges that the individual is facing. I have found him to be so extremely helpful in dealing with my specific private issues, and other challenges. His office is super calming, and makes me feel safe at home.
