While I have had some less than ideal experiences with trying to get mental health services here, most of my interactions with CHD have been with the lovely people who do their public health/immunization services. I've been working through a needle phobia and the nicest people I've ever gotten shots from are here! Very kind, patient, and non-judgemental. I would recommend that people of any age who are bad with needles go here for their vaccinations.

I've never been sold bad drugs and then thrown under the bus quite like by CHD. pretty good for psychiatry in this valley

There was a time in my 26-year community partnership with Lifeways when I wasn't the biggest fan. I can honestly say there has been a significant shift. From more services, more accessible community friendly leadership. Thoughtful and compassionate employees. If you have hesitated in the past because of past experiences or concerns, I would recommend giving them another shot. You may be pleasantly surprised.

i’m not sure why this place has bad reviews. from my pov i have a wonderful therapist who i enjoy talking to. there are a few rotten eggs within the system, but all i had to do was call and asked to be switched to a different person. this place has saved my life and i’m so grateful for it. 🩷

Extremely kind and patient people! Everyone here was always super welcoming and lighthearted. The classes were genuinely helpful and everyone was incredibly supportive and made the process entirely painless. Very quickly made some wonderful friends that have made a huge impact in my life.

When I actually needed help they lied and said they had no bed they are a terrible company reached out and they turned me away bad company

Well, I’m a special teacher in the morning for College and A licensed marriage family, and therapist at night for myself. Let me tell you this is the most amazing place. This place let me sleep at night. I could sleep at night because the care at this facility was above and beyond. My child carries many diagnosis. She was adopted at birth and has been through trauma in utero exposure, and her birth parents had mental illness. This place had amazing staff and protocol for a gentle way to help a young teenagers self regulate. We were able to receive trauma counseling, individual counseling family therapy, and my child’s medication’s were finally working for her thanks to this place and the changes they made. Her therapist was so experienced and on target and helped not only my child heal, but the continuation of our family healing as we had a crime in our house by a trusted neighbor of five years. Little by little self harm stopped or reduced little little hospitalizations reduced and got father apart. They help my child go to school for three hours a day on site. my child enjoyed the cows across the street. They went above and beyond for my child 16th birthday. Not only is this place, professional detailed and oriented towards child centered complex cases. The staff have a heart and give more than 100%. Our school district had to work with them even though they’re not California approved. I was very worried and asked for three parent recommendations before I even placed my child in this program. As you know, if you’re reading this review, you’re making one of life’s hardest decisions and one that you never wanted to make. All the best - I am glad there are programs like this, and I hope they stay in business forever. One satisfied, grateful parent who was in tears when my child was ready to move to the next level due to progress-scared that the next program may not match the quality of this program. This is the best mental health facility I've ever been to. They not only have amazing counselors but if you are in need of other things they have resources available to the best of their abilities.

Nurse Amanda Underwood. Practice better listening and coming up with solutions instead of shutting down everything we say and nearly arguing and nit picking on what we are doing wrong. Listen to the patients suggestions and come up with a solution for the symptoms. I already know everything you tried to educate on. But again you did not listen and did not work toward resolving the symptoms instead told us what we already knew. Rude, cold, snappy, not friendly. Even my 14 year old was not impressed. Will never see her again.

I must share that I’m super impressed with the Medical Doctors, PAs, Nurses, lab technicians and all staff at this clinic. They are very caring, very compassionate, they listen, they take action, they are very communicative and quick to respond to your needs, and all are extremely competent in their respective areas. They never seem like they are trying to hurry up your appointment, they take their time to fully understand all of your needs. The office is very clean, welcoming and well appointed. Parking is easy and close. I highly recommend this entire clinic!!

I can't be thankful enough for the genuine care and compassion I received by all involved. Had I known this type of help existed, I would have signed up years ago. But I believe things happened how they did for a reason. If you need real help, and you're ready for real change, please give Ascent a chance. They will go above and beyond. It's almost unbelievable. Thank you guys for everything.

This is by far the best counseling office I have ever attended. Tom is the perfect counselor for me, after so many years of failing to connect with one. If you can, get Tom. Such a genuine and passionate person when it comes to therapy. He somehow always has the most perfectly accurate responses to and analyzation of what you are trying to say A+++ Also, the receptionist are so sweet and I believe I am accurate in assuming the other therapist here are amazing as well. You won’t be disappointed

This is only my second counseling appointment, but I have been to at least 30 counselors. I've been to art and sand play therapy, I have been to swing therapy, cognitive therapy, PSR workers, and psychiatrists. But I must say that Tabitha is the most incredible counselor I have ever met. Hands down... The balancing of listening and explaining is perfect. I've never felt hope for My future self like I do now. Thank you so much! <3 Andrew

I enrolled my daughter here a few months ago. It is located in a beautiful location in the mountains w a nice river that flows by it. The facilities are nice and it is well run. Had a good staff to child ratio. The staff are caring and nice and the program is very well thought out. The counselor she has is very good and they are teaching valuable skills. My daughter seems to like it there and we couldn’t be happier.

If it had not been for this amazing organization, I don't think my son would be alive today. I am so very grateful!

I attended Patch for 6 months and it really changed my life! The staff at Patch are very caring and they work hard to make sure that the mistakes and issues you have had and done in the past do not define who you can become! They do test you and push your buttons sometimes, but it helps you to not have thin skin when somebody tries to push your buttons to annoy you. The DBT skills I learned there have helped me to deal with things now in a better way, rather than just lying or getting into useless arguments about things that end up not even mattering within a few minutes. The food at Patch was great, they supplied healthy food that got us through the day, and they made sure that it was made with love! I am now a senior in high-school and captain of my JV basketball team! I still today keep in touch with the Patch staff by calling the boys dorm and whenever I feel like I need to vent or just tell them about my day, they are always there to answer and listen!

I was fearful coming here with my long history of overdoing it with the alcohol. These people immediately made me feel ok just being me. I'm on my fourth taper down med day and am starting to feel like myself again. They are with you every step of the way. I can't say enough wonderful things. The only thing that was unpleasant at first is the stand up check in that seemed to take forever the first day when I was feeling shaky but it got easier and easier the better I started feeling. This whole team is AMAZING. THANK YOU!!

I have been with STOP Tacoma for a little over a year now since getting my DUI. At first it was a hard pill to swallow, but I am so grateful for my counselor Tiffani who has given me the support and guidance I need to be successful. She has a heart of gold and always goes above and beyond. It feels good to know you have someone in your corner. This has been such a transformative journey that I never would have considered otherwise. Being sober is actually really nice! Sometimes life has it's way of showing us a different path, and I'm grateful it landed at STOP.

I’m not the one to leave reviews but Tiffany deserves it! I have had many councilors in my lifetime but not like her. Tiffany will always have a place in my heart. If you want someone real, understanding and someone you can always count on, ask for her.

Absolute 5/5 stars! I stayed at Beth's place and had the most transformative experience of my life. The staff- shoutout to Chaquira and Helen- are amazing and very supportive during some of the most difficult times in the women's lives. I don't think I ever laughed (and cried) more in a period of 28 days. Highly recommend. Be prepared to be challenged, supported, and prepared to face the outside world. Thank you, Triumph.

Not as bad as the psych ward in Arkansas so count your blessings there. My diagnosis was spot on and has changed my life. The medical staff do a great job. The staff for food, security, cleaning, and general help? 0/10. There were only a handful of staff that seemed like they actually cared. They are very disorganized and not properly trained, probably not properly paid either. I wish the staff would explain things more and ask things like 'do you know where you are and why you are here?' as some patients including myself enter these facilities delusional and in most cases psychotic in general. Those reaffirming statements of 'I'm in a medical facility receiving care because XYZ' is important in those cases. Also they need better pillows and blankets. Psychotic episodes are very exhausting. Sleep is so important for coming out of psychosis.
