Free by the Sea opened my eyes and saved my life. I would not listen to any of the negative reviews that I noticed on here. You have to come to the program with a willingness to change in order to get the wonderful treatment offered. The staff is amazing and has every clients health, integrity, and safety in their minds and care. The team is wonderful. As long as you want to change your life, you have to give in to some of the hard things that are required. 30 day residential for me was a blessing, and I am applying Friday to go back for the PHP and IOP programs.
The staff and owners expectations of you are not hard to manage if you put your mind to your treatment. The classes are eye opening, especially the Behavioral Health and Brain studies reviews. It helps you to understand your disease and how to manage it. Taking your life seriously includes steps that are mind challenging.
I completely loved my experience, was cared for, taken to a Doctor when it was needed, provided excellent meals, comfort during my stay, clothing, and other items I was lacking. They provide all hygiene products that are required. The extra classes and options for success are endless! They even go out of their way to provide you excellent transportation to and from the facility if you communicate with the admissions staff.
Sabrina provides my favorite classes! The art and especially the vages nerve classes she gave were so helpful in reopening my creative side and mind/body regulation again. I have stayed sober outside of the program, and I would suggest this resource and program to anyone who wants to change their life, live drug and alcohol free, and start over! They do not judge your past and many of the staff and counselors know first hand what you are going through. They do not take a high and mighty pose, instead they let you understand and share their stories of failures and successes to help you see you can overcome anything!
They have encouraged me in ways I didn't even know was possible! I wish I would have found FBTS many years ago, as it would have saved me from a lot of rollercoaster setbacks with my alcoholism. Put your mind and body back together in a wonderful setting. The property is an old beach resort and truly has a light hearted spiritual surrounding of nature and many blessings if you just open your heart and mind to the great experience you will have.
The meals provided are another high review from me. The kitchen staff is great, breakfast, lunch and dinner has many options, the menu is changed daily. Always salads available. Two refrigerators stocked with goods and left overs from previous meals to be eaten at any time. Full granola and cereal bar, many snacks, tea, juice machine and ice always ready. Some of the best food I have had in years, honestly high restaurant quality.
The walking track, pickleball, and men and women's lounge areas are where you can watch some TV or get some extra time with the friends you make there. You have expectations in this program and that is no different from any other situation in life. Give it a chance, change your life, get healthier while doing so.

Free by the Sea is my second treatment center. And, as a result of this program, I can truly say that I believe wholeheartedly that it will be my last. Besides the obvious, that it is set by the beach and a beautiful campus, the curriculum covered during my stay here taught me more about myself, my addiction, my trauma, and most importantly, my sobriety, than I could have ever thought possible. I do not say these things lightly. Free by the Sea taught me the importance of having a relapse prevention plan, and gave me the tools to create one. I leave here tomorrow morning, back to my husband and my life, with such solid and valuable tools to apply to my life and long-term sobriety! I can’t leave without giving a very sincere shoutout to ALL the staff who took care of me, made me feel safe, cared about, and important. Thank you, immensely, to each one, from my first step in admissions with Landon, to the front desk staff, Kandi, Kimberly, Amanda, Regina, Chanelle and Matt, to the competent and empathetic med room staff, Nyna and Courtney. The kitchen staff is amazing as well, and Kedric’s cooking is always delicious! I will forever be grateful for my experience here and the life changing and life affirming care I received. Free by the Sea is friggin amazing!!!! Anyone who says this place is not good for you is selfish and NEEDS REHAB!!! This place changed my life, granted it was time for me to grow up, and I will always correlate this place with an amazing time and giving me my life back. Its been extremely comforting being next to the Ocean and, comparatively speaking, other treatment facilities that I've been to do not hold a candle. Amazing food, accommodations, and staff. Especially staff; understanding, responsive and the perfect combination of thick-skinned (to deal with us adult children) and compassionate. I love you guys.

This is hands down the best rehabilitation and recovery place in all of Washington state!!!! I went through their program and they not only gave me the tools to fight my alcoholism but they also focused on me as a person and my life. They helped me to identify the "Why?" I was drinking through outstanding counselors and very informative group sessions. I was able to identify and make plans to correct the areas of my life that either directly or indirectly affected my ability to stay sober. All of the staff are very friendly, understanding, caring, and knowledgeable people. They make make you feel very welcome and go out of their way and go up and beyond to help you and make you feel comfortable. The medical doctors and nursing staff do an outstanding job of taking care of all your medical needs and ensure every aspect of your physical health is addressed. The mental health and counseling department has very good counselors that are great at getting to the root of you as a person and identifying areas of ones self that need attention. The technical staff are very accommodating, friendly, and interactive with the clients which eases time there and makes you feel really cared for. The food is outstanding and on another level that you will not find at most, if not all, other facilities. Discover Recovery employs top notch chefs that are very accommodating and highly skilled. After eating here you will 100% miss the food and be hard pressed to find a restaurant that can match it's excellence. Last, but not least, the facilities are 1st class, spacious, well cleaned and very well maintained.This place not only saved my life but gave me what I needed to make my life better than it has ever been. I personally had no issues, but there was tons of drama there and it was very stressful on me personally. I was only there a week and 3 days and left and flew back home to cali. There is a really good male psychiatrist there who actually I met with a few days before I left, I can not recall his name but with his insight he really helped me figure out the things causing me to self medicate. I ended up getting clean on my own and have been clean now for 11 months almost a year!

I was impressed with the care of the staff & how each client was treated as an individual. Sometimes a little laid back but overall I believe my life was saved there by following treatment plan developed for me. Everyone was so very nice, very direct & honestly showing concern. The food was Fantastic & kitchen staff very flexible. I learned much during my 30 days of treatment & use the knowledge daily to guide me in my one day at a time sober way of living. I am very pleased & all my family say it was money well soent.

This August will be a year ago that I entered the Klean Treatment Center. I was messed up. I needed help. The staff is there to help but you have to want to help yourself. My experience there was challenging. I am so appreciative of the staff. It's not a resort but the staff will get you in the right direction to recovery. The food is excellent. Beds are comfortable. The beds are cleaned regularly. Classed are excellent but the most inspiring class was our Native American class. The instructor was so knowledgeable of his past and way of life and nature. I appreciate nature more because of that class. A big thank you to the staff, cooks and everyone there.

I have never felt so comfortable going to the doctor before. Everyone I interested with, at the front desk and in the exam room, was kind and patient. The nurse (Lindsey) was personable, skilled and wonderful, both at intake and in taking blood for a lab later. My doctor (Danielle) didn't seem rushed at all, speaking with me about my history, listening to my health concerns, being encouraging where I had health struggles. I felt like I could talk about any issues and get understanding and help. I was very nervous to be switching providers after moving into the area, but now I feel totally at ease!

I love our doctors. Dr. Glover-Cloutier and Dr. Miller are awesome. The explain what they will be doing and they listen to you. The front desk staff are pleasant and always helpful. The doctor assistants are great too as well as the hygienists. We have never had to wait too long. I would recommend my friends and family to this care facility.

Their clinic is great, however I see that their GPS needs to be updated. I tryed calling to talk to someone about canceling my appointment but they said they were closed. Well for one these guys and gals go wahhhay out of their in helping me. Even tonight if it werent for my Dr. Seth Mercurio and his being an impeccably great doctor for thos e on recovery i had no one else to go to and even after about 8 months ago gelling them i was to be taken in seriously ..well i was having a very hard time and they understood. Talked it over and helped me and still ..gone out of their way to make sure my ailement would not take me to the hospital,which is frankly embarrassing for me well he pulled out all chances of that and put me first me and my boys and saved the day. Overall I'm grateful to this place for the help that they've given me, cause I'll be real, they can only do so much and then it's up to me. The reason for four stars is because of the wait times, they are ridiculous, and the way I feel I'd that there had got to be a better system put into place so that people who are their to simply dose can do just that and get on with their lives..if there is someone doing anything other than that then there should be a line for other stuff. And the people who cheat and can't wait in line is becoming a huge problem. Honestly I feel like it should be a take a number system or something...alls I know I'd something needs to be done because there's been days I'd rather just take the AWOL and turn to leave once I see the line. If I had a job I would be very upset at the process because as it is it appears they don't seem to care that people have other things to do. Perhaps there should be a cap on the amount of patients maybe, the policy take everyone that comes obviously is causing more problems.

This place has changed my life! My counselor Carrie is the best!! She always makes time for me and really cares about my recovery and my life. The staff here have always been respectful and supportive. I have been in and out of treatment for many years and this is the only place that has helped me to achieve any kind of real clean time. Gunna go big here with the FIVER. 5 stars babyyy!! Why?The bottom line is that I am happy it's here and I'm thankful for the employees. Everyone has lives and deals with things, I can only imagine the people that come in. That said, I had an amazing experience here after not seeing a doctor for over 15 years. Not to mention their male flobotamist is an absolute master of the craft.They offer dental in the same building? Hell yes!Anyways I have now been to this office a handful of times and each time has been fast and wonderful.I'm seeing a lot of ONE stars of people complaining about rudeness etc....i think those people suffer from what I call "MY WORLD" Syndrome....where they don't take into consideration that employees are humans with emotions too.A lot of people think just because it's a clinic that said clinic has to do do do for them. And that's not reality!!! Same on selfish people.If any employees see this: YOU ARE LOVED. YOU ARE APPRECIATED. They have cancelled twice and when I call to reschedule-make me wait until the first of the next month to attempt to schedule again- which has not been fruitful yet- 4 months later. Oy.

With all the reviews I was scared to go to this place but the doctors, nurses and staff were amazing. I've had a lot of bad experience with doctors, and the doctor listened to me and helped. I was at lakefront before this and some of their doctors are super disrespectful to the point where I left crying. This place deserves at least 4 stars. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. We see Melissa & she is awesome! She really listens! Sometimes referrals take time, but she sends them right away, so i dont know why its so slow to go through (Possibly insurance). We've never been treated negatively by anyone there. Appointments are a couple months out, but if you call right at 8am for a same day appointment, they can usually get you in. You do have to wait on hold though as I do think they are usually short staffed. We will continue being patients with this clinic.

Columbia wellness is 5 stars all across the board. The counselors are fantastic, and they are truly concerned about each patient. Also I might add the resources they have show true concern for the patients. Between Columbia Wellness and Recovery Cafe in Kelso, There is no reason for anybody to be homeless and on the streets !!! I have been seeing a Dr. at Columbia Welness and a Therapist for a few years now. I have confidence in my Dr. and a good relationship with my Therapist. All of the staff has always treated respectfully and with kindness. . I am more than satisfied with the staff . I haven't ever had a bad experience with Columbia Wellness

This place was very nice as far as I'm concerned. The facility is nice. The private rooms are nicely done with dark blue fuzzy soft blankets, you get two and you can drag them into the day room where there is group a few times a day. Facilitated by loving caring people. There are movies, Wii and games. There is no negativity in this place. None. The food is good and there are lots of good snacks with fruit and a fridge full of stuff to eat and drink.The nurses are wonderful. Whenever I was in my room crying they were so sweet and talked with me. They listened and remembered the things I was having a hard time with. Also very supportive with phone numbers of doctors and various programs and places to go. They were sincere and empathetic and just so nice. There was always a therapist on hand the few times I had sudden anxiety and PTSD flashbacks. I didn't have one negative encounter with any of the staff there. The place must have changed from the previous reviews I read. The prescriber was such a good listener. Very professional and very understanding. Very everything and never goofy or animated in a way that some prescribers and psychiatrists can be. My only other experience with being an inpatient is At Johns Peace Health. Columbia Wellness was so much better. I went in there already knowing that I was not going to get the meds that I really needed and they worked with me as much as I worked with them on finding acceptable alternatives. My accepting that I have to be proactive about my anxiety attacks was a huge help for all of us. I realized that I can't expect to be fixed by drugs or other people. I did get some okay alternative for anxiety and I'm working on techniques to help me gain self confidence and help lessen my fear of the symptoms of my condition.I would feel confident referring a loved one here. There is nothing that falls through the cracks and the nurses and therapists treat everyone as equals without prejudice or judgement. I was there for seven days and the only reason I wanted to leave was because I missed my phone and baby monkey videos. Lol... I will go back again if I get squirrelly. If you have mental issues and need a safe place to get it together then I hope you go here and have a helpful experience like I did.

Where to being. Treehouse is the very first place that comes to mind when I think about where I would send a loved one struggling. I went through PDX and it absolutely gave me a foundation to actually build a life. The program design, team, staff, culture allowed me to get to a place of healing that had eluded me for years. I ve been to 15-20 rehabs in my journey. Detoxes, inpatient , outpatient, Salvation Army, the million dollar mansions in SoCal, and every SUD/ PTSD program the VA has- but none of them got CLOSE to getting me to the place that treehouse has. I am truly grateful for life I live today and I owe a tremendous amount of thanks to Treehouse as a whole#PDX

The staff was very kind and helpful. 24 hour nurses on staff is a must and very appreciated being someone that had problems sleeping from withdrawals. The classroom was engaging and helpful, the teachers did a great job explaining how to be successful at staying sober. I m almost 1.5 years clean and never have cravings but know what to do if I did. You can t pick who your in there with but it feels so good being around people that know what your goin thru and like to talk and get to know you. Wish I had more of those people when I was there but it is what it is, gotta stay positive and focus on getting better regardless. They have lots of games to play which was a blast and a great way to keep the time rolling. I would definitely go back there if I needed to, I feel a lot stronger and better off after getting treatment there.

I did intake here originally December 2020, but have courtesy dosed here before. It is by far the best clinic in the Pacific Northwest. Previously I attended several clinics in Seattle.It is important to understand that they are doing the best that they can with the number of people that they have. I have seen job postings for nurses on their website for years. It is not their fault nurses join and leave so abruptly or are hard to find and hire.Then you have the patient count that has steadily been increasing. Most stable patients qualify for take homes fairly fast, so don t expect to have to go daily for too long. There will be days the wait will be long. That s just life. People take vacations. Shit happens. Relax and get your dose.
