I’ve read a few negative reviews here and from my experience, these are petty complains due to certain persons just not getting their overly unrealistic expectations met but for the average respectable person who knows when in rehab and during detox, there are always times where one feels badly, however this is not the recovery centers fault, it’s just the nature of detoxing and learning coping skills and dealing with personal addictive habits, codependencies, and traumas. Ray and Ceaser as well as Aida Kailey and Tim had a HUGE impact in my recovery and for the other support staff LVN Jose, Nate, Sean, Corky, Melissa and Andy are all VERY AWESOME and genuine and REALLY deserve to have a say in the future improvements and coardination of curriculum going forward. Haven't touched alcohol since July 13th 2016. I always look back on the month I spent here fondly despite the circumstances of needing to check in to rehab being one of the darkest times of my life. The people complaining it's not some 5 star hotel are mental. Yeah you get a tiny bed, you have a bunk mate and the facilities arent the greatest but if you're spending time here you're not there for pleasure. The group therapy and structured days were exactly what my addict/alcoholic self needed. The fact it wasn't some bourgeoisie cushy hotel stay helped me focus on what I was there to do which was to address my alcoholism and addiction. I showed up broken, dope sick, full of resentments, and hopeless. I was desperate to get clean and get my relationship back with the Lord, but I never expected a transformation to take place. The staff were some of the best guys I have ever met. They all had hearts to serve the lord and love others. They welcomed me with open arms and loved me when I couldn’t love myself. They patiently waited for me to let my walls down and expose my heart. I desperately wanted to get closer to the Lord but I couldn’t have imagined the depth of the Journey I was about to go on! It was Truly a life changing experience and I will forever be grateful for all of the people, (counselors, clients, therapists, pastors, and staff) that guided me and walked with me in the Journey. When these events are going on, usually, there are meetings of different kinds that take place. There's twelve step and other kinds of meetings . There is also counseling available for those who need it, and don't we always need something once in a while? So people are willing to sit down and talk with you a bit. It's a very friendly place they're doing all kinds of things right now, getting involved with the neighborhood and helping others, including a food drive and some other things that will be coming soon. They are becoming active in this community, and they're working on becoming more active as time goes on. I'm not sure what else I can say. I just really enjoy the people. And my kids absolutely fell in love with a few people there and and I believe they in turn, have done the same, and it's very sweet. .. Whenever I’m sick or not feeling well, they always step in right away and make sure I’m taken care of. It never feels like I’m just another patient to them. They genuinely check on me, help me through it, and make sure I’m as comfortable as possible. All of the nurses work together in such a kind and supportive way, and because of that, I always feel really welcomed when I walk in. Daja Williams 1 month ago Taline is my favorite, she's the best dispensing nurse I've ever had Manny Gutierrez 1 month ago I transferred to Aegis treatment center in Pomona starting around beginning of December after starting on methadone in Italy when I lived there for a while but between leaving Italy and starting at aegis there was a couple days break from treatment till I went to aegis, and now after almost a year at September I’m transferring to another state since I move around and the treatment aegis provided has been very helpful and I been clean off all substances since the first day I transferred to aegis and I think two days prior to the first day I went to aegis was the first first day I was clean and aegis clinic helped me maintain sobriety ever since which means I been clean since beginning of December and still clean and sober. Brittany and Martha and one other person in front desk that I don’t remember the name of was very helpful since first day. Taline the nurse who dispenses the medication was very nice and helpful same with Bianca (Im sure that’s her name but a part of me feels like her name might be different and I accidentally mixed the name up so I’m leaving this note up just in case I got the name wrong but she’s on the computer in the first door left when you enter in the hallways) was also very nice and attentive and helpful and I think is the manager of the entire place and she helps me transfer to my new place by coordinating everything. The doctor with glasses is very chill and very fun to have conversations with and helped me find my correct dose of medication. And Angela who isn’t my counselor but has lots of candy would give me lots of candy especially airheads she is the candy lady. My first counselor was Gloria who was very kind and listened very well in sessions and second counselor I forgot name of never showed up and I think got fired and was a weird woman and third counselor I forgot name of was a cool guy and listened very well.
