St John of God is now Phoenix House. They just opened their doors after receiving the county contract. This comes after SJOG went out of business. Phoenix House offers inpatient care and medication assisted treatment with medications to help persons reduce the need to use dangerous drugs like fentanyl and begin a new path of recovery.
There is a men’s side and a female side that are separated, each with its drug and alcohol program. Transportation to appointments is provided. There are individual and group counseling sessions, mental health treatment, nursing on site, and a Medical Doctor. They also have case management team to assist the patient receive outside services including housing and for aftercare. They have on site kitchen and dining rooms, laundry, refurbished dorms, meeting and group rooms, a pool, outside gym and recreation yard and various entertainment activities and workshops are done throughout each day.

Serenity Hall has many events that take place there. Families and friends and children are always welcome. When these events are going on, usually, there are meetings of different kinds that take place. There's twelve step and other kinds of meetings . There is also counseling available for those who need it, and don't we always need something once in a while? So people are willing to sit down and talk with you a bit. It's a very friendly place they're doing all kinds of things right now, getting involved with the neighborhood and helping others, including a food drive and some other things that will be coming soon. They are becoming active in this community, and they're working on becoming more active as time goes on. I'm not sure what else I can say. I just really enjoy the people. And my kids absolutely fell in love with a few people there and and I believe they in turn, have done the same, and it's very sweet. .. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that they do have counseling programs there. And you can come in and speak with Brian Jones ( Head Therapist). I know he would be happy to help set up sessions for those who want the help...

I found Glendora recovery at the highest of my addiction. I didn’t want to Share and problem solved with the group when I first got there. By the time I left, they couldn’t shut me up. It’s a place filled with love and support from genuine people who understand what you’re going through where you’re headed the staff is knowledgeable heartfelt warming. They all have special abilities to connect to make you feel welcome. I was blessed with several tools to help Work throughmy addiction that I’m still usitodproud to say that I am an alumni of Glendora recovery. I made some really strong connections with the staff a special shout out to Doctor Anand. Who chose to take me under his wing? Coming into a program like this is terrifying. Just making the call takes a ton of courage and effort. The program is challenging in all the right ways: Taking you out of your comfort zone to improve your self worth, massive amounts of material to learn and put into practice, and learning patience. I went through IVRS in May of 2020 and I was a complete mess. Drugs and alcohol were how I coped with the emotional distress I had been long experiencing and during my time at IVRS the staff, the structure, and the atmosphere provided me with an atmosphere that I could make a lasting change. Today, I am not just sober; I am at happy & at peace. I don't miss the days I used to abuse drugs/alcohol and that is an absolute miracle. I am so grateful for the staff that dedicated their lives and careers to being of service to those struggling with addiction. I hope that the staff knows how much of a difference that they are making in the lives of those that enter treatment.

All of the staff here are absolutely wonderful! They have great food, catered meals, lots of great snacks, outings, such as bowling in the movies and Broadway theater in Riverside.
The work they do for Addiction is over the top. 30 to 120 day programs with therapy, group counseling, and one on one counseling. Better than A Luxury rehab in Malibu. They take forms of Medi-Cal like IEHP and the homes are clean and beautiful. Ron is the owner and he is involved and does such a great job. Theresa as a counselor for the women’s house is over the top great!

If you are looking for a sober living location this is the place. I stayed at Phoenix Rising in Palm Desert for over a month and had a wonderful experience. This place is amazing ! Everything about this place is great. The food, the counselors, and all the staff are awesome. Staff is so helpful. My counselor Paul has been amazing. Another guy that's always helpful all around is Shep. He's a good role model and cool to talk to and have some laughs with. This program has changed my life completely! Ramona leads an incredible program, the entire treatment from start to finish was thorough and well thought out. The therapists, Xavier, Maggy, and Ghazeleh showed grace, empathy, care, and genuine compassion to every single patient. I was fortunate enough to have Paola, the clinical therapist lead, as my main therapist and we uncovered years of traumatic experiences I was not ready to face. I will forever recommend this program to anyone in need and look forward to the after care they offer after completing this program!

I stayed in the adult section (unit 300) for 5 days. It was a good experience overall, even with a couple scary moments from other patients. The food was good, the patients were sweet, and the staff was on top of things. The only issue I had with this place is I believe they need more Spanish speaking staff on the floor and more phones available. Overall, I feel like everyone was treated fairly and I liked the activities that they had for us.

This place really saved my life. The intimate setting, connections able to be made between myself and other patients, the heart shown by all of the staff, and the individual care being made by the counselors is absolutely second to none. This has been my only experience with treatment, but I don’t know why anyone would want to do it any other way.

If you use more than 3 tiny creamers they get mad and say this is why we can't have nice things lol 😂 the people and program is what you make it but it's just hilarious to me that 3 creamers pisses them off when they make over 7000 off one person a day 😂😂😭 also if you complain to upper management they block you and the Jen woman will text you a dozen times asking if you want to be in the program even when you've been in the program over a month they are clueless but I enjoy it me and my wife I'm sober and I quit cigarettes I guess you just do the best with what you get

Prototypes is the most amazing place I have ever been. I tried tons of rehabs and nothing worked for me. I was taken to prototypes in 2000 pregnant homeless and hooked on heroin. This program saved me and my baby‘s life they found a way to help me get off the heroin and detox in a way that was safe for me and my unborn baby. I had my daughter nine weeks early but she was perfect healthy and alive. Thanks to prototypes thanks to the PA and that used to work there. My mother was in this program in the early 90's I remember living with her here ehen she got back custody of me and my little brother 😭 things were hard but the staff and people were good I remember my brother tire to runa away and a male staff stepped in and talked with him as he had a hard time adjusting. Im thankful for progams like this.. it really can make a difference when you try.. but most importantly is the support one needs in situations like this

My son just completed a 30 day program at SoCal Sunrise and we could not be more pleased. Andrew, Shannon and Ally as well as all of the staff were incredibly kind, patient and supportive. The entire team is vested in the recovery of their residents and encouragement is given every step. If my son had a rough day, one of the staff members was right along side to motivate my son to keep going. He felt supported and heard, I am so grateful to this team.
