I'm asking about the program actually. At detox how is it exactly? Are the women and guys around one another? As well as the php and housing with the classes. Do you have groups and all that with the opposite sex? It's kind of a distraction for me that's why I am asking lol but while I'm here how is the food and are there TV's in the detox rooms and basically is it comfortable? I have 4 stars to write this comment obvi not bc I know how it is here. So please let me know, hopefully you can comment on this post, not really sure how it works lol thank y'all!

At first, there was some confusion with the first Provider that did my intake. I am not sure he knew how to treat my addiction since it was not a common substance. Kratom is not widely known or understood as a substance that is highly addictive, especially if you have a history of opiate addiction.
I am being seen by a different Provider after that first visit and she is awesome. She (Joey) seems well educated and has been amazing with my treatment plan.
There is no shame in admitting you have a problem and it takes a strong person to ask for help. Don't let the disease get the best of you - YOU ARE WORTH IT!

Great facility and amazing amenities! Snacks/water/juice available 24/7. Private detox rooms (some are shared). Provides complimentary hygiene, rolled cigarettes, and donated clothing. Roku TVs in every room— many with streaming services already signed in. Decent showers. Handicap accessible throughout. The only criticisms I have is that they did not disclose all the things one would have been able to bring with them [you can pretty much order grocery/retail deliveries like commissary] and that they try to basically force people (especially those they can threaten with notification to POs) to continue with their STR and PHP even if it was stated during the initial intake assessment detoxification was the only service needed. No assistance was given if trying to transfer to different program on a planned basis— not even AMA.

I left White Light 10 months ago. My experience there was interesting. I cannot complain. I went there with a goal of restarting my life and that is exactly what has happened for me. Of course, there were some things that happened there, but you cannot control the behavior of others - you have to focus on you. If you go there and focus on your own sobriety, you will succeed. My case worker, Crystal Lamb and my therapist Tisier, those ladies were amazing. They did everything in their power to ensure I received the best care I possibly could and made sure my goals were fulfilled. They kept me on
track. These ladies spoke life into me and gave me hope for a brighter and better future alcohol free. To date, I am putting the pieces of my life back together, and I have White Light to thank for my new and continued sobriety. Just remember, this is not the the be all and end all to maintaining an alcohol and drug free life - It's just the beginning. Work with your team and ensure you get continued help for your after care when you leave the facility. Ensure you get a sponsor as well.
Thank you to my team at White Light for helping me overcome the first step.

I get ECT therapy here and the team is absolutely fantastic. Everyone is so warm and caring, even the front desk staff, and especially Dr. C. The therapy has helped a lot too. Though when it comes to treating and looking at parasitic infections hospitals in America are far under advanced and not thoroughly doing all they can to treat them I know I have a parasite but it remains to be undetected somehow and this is truly disturbing to me.
