I know some approximately 7ish years ago. My family member came there, still had few struggles but thanked me for it! Now Today is flourishing!! I have been going to Bartles for years. Jennie has be WONDERFUL to talk to. She has been such an amazing help in all the things I've been delt with over the years!!! Getting an appointment has been a breeze with awesome staff helping to get me on the schedule and being flexible!

I am so thankful for Bartels Counseling. They have provided countless practical tools and steps as I have gone through my journey toward personal health and wellness. In addition to their great knowledge and expertise in counseling, they are very organized and provide timely response to any questions and scheduling conflicts. Excellent place for healing and restoration. The Avera Team are just that, they work together very well for the care of every individual. You are guided to recovery day by day You can trust in them.

Amazing people! Amazing people at the front desk, amazing nurses, amazing doctors. It’s never another dreaded appointment, it’s a place that I’m actually happy to go to when I have an appointment. I’ve been coming to SLMH for years and they’ve always been super helpful, understanding and kind. I have to give a shoutout to Melissa, she goes above and beyond and commits to being her true authentic self. I’m super grateful for Ricardo as well. He’s knowledgeable in so many areas, and I think anyone who starts appointments off at a personal level truly understands what one might be going through. I’m an actual patient that has been coming here for almost a decade, and honestly, I don’t know where I’d be without this place. My psychiatrist, therapist, nurses, community support, and support staff have helped me through so much since moving to Sioux City. I always feel heard and supported, and I never feel rushed or judged. Getting my meds refilled is always quick and easy, and whenever I’ve needed referrals for other help, it’s been super smooth. Everyone I’ve seen here over the years has been kind, caring, and truly wants to help. I’m really grateful for all they’ve done for me. If you’re struggling or thinking about getting help, I can’t recommend this place enough. Mental health is important, and this is a great place to take that first step.

Always have had a good experience here with both medication management and therapy. Scheduling is easy and services have been great. I always feel supported and heard with my mental health.
The staff at Center for Behavioral Health are very professional, polite, understanding, empathetic and non judgemental. They want them to succeed in their program.
Yankton 's Lewis and Clark behavioral service is excellent. Have always had extremely good service there.

I just did my 28 day treatment and I loved every minute I was there. The counselors (especially Tony, Beth, Kendra and Krista) are wonderful, the techs, the nursing staff, everyone was so kind and helpful. It is the greatest place I never want to go to again!!

I have not been through drug rehab nor do I think that I need it? I do think that this facility is helpful I feel like the psychologists are down to earth and understanding, especially the 20+ year psychologists. They are so good that they don't have to take notes; while you are in a session. Makes it feel like you're just talking with your girlfriend, very calming.
It was court ordered that I took mandatory counseling when I was a teenager. I feel bad for my counseler, because of my demeanor, being a immature teenager. I worry she felt like our sessions were unproductive and a waste of her time.
The facility and Yankton is a little bit more tucked away it's in between the prison and Broadway street. It's not on a main road. The facility in Vermillion, South Dakota is right on Main Street. In front of the court house you cannot miss it.
Chad’s House is a popular sober living home that has two licensed in-house chemical dependency counselors providing support for recovering addicts and alcoholics by hosting four intensive outpatient meetings weekly along with other outside sober activities.

Chief medical Charles Tilly is my doctor who prescribes most of my medications. I went their in 2019 after going to a facility in 2019 and when I got back home I was still seeing him. But when I went to spirit lakes facility for plains area... it was horrible. But we ain't talking about plains area spirit lake we talking about le Mars iowa plains area. Anyways... my doctor before I went to Charles tilly I was basically I was put on a good amount of medications and it was awful x.x but until I saw Charles tilly, he said to me that my main goal is to put you on less medications as possible. Also with my last recent visit via zoom, he said that he knows I don't do well in hospitals and he just wants me to stay right where I am. That's with my good mother. Plus he knows alot about natives. (I don't know how though) But when I get so nervous before an appointment with him, and when the appointment comes he talks in a very calming way and for some reason I can open up to him and I'm super calm. Like being nervous to calm in an instant. I don't know how he does his magical powers but he does. To be honest... I think he has a gift spiritually. Also he's a really good doctor for medications. Also my therapist Angela Nilles is a cool beans therapist. I love her so much. ^-^

I love Plains in LeMars. When I moved out here 11years ago, I was having trouble finding someone to help with my meds. I became a patient of another well known facility in the area that over medicated me. I couldn't function anymore. So my regular doctor recommended "PA Tilley" as she called him. PA Tilley literally saved my life! I would recommend him in a heart beat. When I moved back home in 2014 I pretty much moved back out here in 2017 for a couple of reasons and PA Tilley was one of them. His "cocktail" as I call it worked for me and other docs wanna to mess with it. Nobody messes with my cocktail! 😉 Thanks PA Tilley, I enjoy coming to see you and love having a fellow East Coast native who understands me!!
The psychologists at this place are top notch. The one that has been treating me for a while now is a wonderful human being. He has helped me out with many issues and has always been professional. I highly recommend this place.
I just have to give a huge shoutout to Dawn, the pharmacy tech who always goes above and beyond! She is absolutely amazing — incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and always ready to lend a hand with a genuine smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Every time I stop by, she makes the experience so positive and effortless. You can truly tell she cares about every person who walks up to that counter.

I was going to this place for... most of my life technically. Anxiety related. I'm currently 30 and my first appointment was with Judy Connor when I was in elementary (yes, that long ago). I missed an appointment when I was in the hospital. Probably missed a few over the years. Guess I'm not allowed to be a patient there anymore. It is what it is. That's on me. No hard feelings. So why did I take a star off?
After Albert left I was set up with this Dr. Chau guy and as others in the reviews have stated, he tried to change my medication after the first appointment and is personally... what I would describe as an unpleasant individual to be around. It's only my mental health, might as well switch it up, even though I was doing well and only really needed refills... Yeah, so after sucking every ounce of positivity from the room with charisma uncomfortably absent and awkward eye contact he told me he doesn't prescribe my anxiety medication. He's one of those doctors that doesn't prescribe benzos or something. I can only conclude it's his personal bias about a group of medication (that actually work) being more important than the mental and overall well-being of others... Despite the last couple months I was going here being a negative experience, this place was pretty great overall. Still have untreated anxiety and can't really function. Oh well, guess this is just my life now.
Oh, yeah... The pharmacy and front desk are amazing. Seriously. They're super friendly and always remembered my name and they would call to reminded me to refill. Pretty cool that the pharmacy is in the same building now. I wouldn't mind being a patient here again if they had a Doctor like Albert. If you're hesitant. I'd say go for it. Just don't miss any appointments.
