Obviously anyone that first goes to rehab isn’t happy with their situation but in just two short months he was a changed person. The work they have them do on themselves got him to finally see why drugs and alcohol are no way of life. He’s finally sober and actually enjoying it! She is amazing. She is there from the beginning to the end if you need anything. The first person I met at rise was Nam. He is the man he’s there for you all the time he works 20 hours a day. The man is amazing. Next, I met Zac the nurse he’s such a cool dude and listens to you and takes whatever concerns you have and it gets it fixed for you. As far as nurses Daisy, David and Nina were great. If you have real medical issues, I would not go there Dr.Raskin is a first class clown. The first time I met him, he spoke to me in the kitchen for 30 seconds and ran away. The next time I saw him was on Zoom for about 60 seconds and he got off. I had a lot of medical issues and he was not there for me. I was very disappointed in that. I refuse to see him after that that’s one of the few bad things about Rise is the doctor. If he was my employee he’d be fired. I complained about him a lot. The counselor Michael, Josh And Beth were great they listen to you and make you feel like they are helping you out. A special shout out to Cat My hippie dippy friend she is the one who does yoga and meditation. I never did that in my life before I’m an older man and she was amazing. I’m from the East Coast. The food was not that great. I was disappointed in that they have a private chef. James was the best chef That’s the only thing I could say about the food. Very disappointing. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. I can say that this program likely saved my life, and showed me a new life that I could never have imagined. The support and understanding was beyond belief. I felt so safe there. I've made friendships with a lot of my peers from groups as well. Which I never wanted to do before. Recovery can be difficult to begin, scary to start, but Sober Life feels SAFE. I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Orion Hudgins 4 weeks ago I entered the residential unit of the Betty Ford for my opioid addiction after a brief stay in detox, as I had already detoxed at home. I found the accommodations to be nice and adequate, but not luxury, more like a nice dorm with a meeting area and kitchen. We had mostly 2 to a room and a patio area. The oversight was there, but not overbearing. The staff are so nice and caring; from the techs to nursing, the instructors, counselors and even the cafeteria staff. After 3 weeks in residential I moved to PHP, which is a great intensive learning environment. I live nearby so I went home, but many people go to Daisy Lane, which is a nice housing site for sober living.
