I can assure you that any negative reviews you see have another side to the story. I had 3 appointments here total and want to s/o Dr Yogi P & Shoni; Natalie was also helpful on a quick phone call. They treated me like a life long patient, I wish they were PCP. I had a face cut/ head injury and they helped me every step of the way. They took my issue seriously and were thorough in all details of my treatment. Dr P was very knowledgeable, trusting, and hands on. Shoni was charismatic, proactive, and organized! He took a lot of time to talk intricately about me, not rushing. She recognized the urgency of my injury & made me feel seen and valuable. They made me feel VERY prioritized on a busy day. For anyone complaining about the wait time, it’s because they’re actually taking meticulous and conscientious care of their patients. We need more people like them in the healthcare and general world, highly recommend raises for the crew! (the nurses were sweet as well)

The home took me in when I was born 80 years ago.they cared for me for five years. Then I returned to my mother. I can say they took me when no one in my family wanted me during WW II . A special staff woman took special interest and became “ my mother in kind” Retrospectively it was her and the home that taught me manners, self respect and a determination to pull myself together. I was a client at AdCare in North Kingstown, RI in the fall of 2026, for both detox and residential. Considering my personal situation and circumstances, I am very grateful for my experience. The facilities and staff surpassed my expectations; they made my recovery journey relatively painless and one that will be looked upon fondly. The facilities are clean, modern, and well organized. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and very understanding of myself and also my peers. I've learned many tools and strategies to assist me through many troubles I may encounter in my life. My case manager Lacey was as pleasant and always willing to help whenever she could and was always supportive. My counselor Victoria was amazing and has given me the tools, resources, and confidence to continue on my path in recovery. I am very hopeful and confident in my future life in recovery. I would highly recommend AdCare for anyone who needs or think they need assistance on their own personal recovery journey. Since admitting to Adcare earlier this month it’s been nothing but warm and welcoming. From the staff to the patients as well, everyone is understanding and wants to see you do better no matter what your situation is. The group meetings that occur everyday I find the most beneficial to the one on one work done as well. I had the pleasure of working with Scott, who is one of the case managers here at Adcare and he has been able to help me greatly with my circumstances. Then Nick as well who provides one on one care making sure my mind, body, spirit, and goals are all set straight. The facility is in great shape as well from the different amenities (gym, rec room, cafeteria, etc…) to again just an overall comfortable feeling. I would recommend Adcare to anyone who is going through a difficult time with drugs and or alcohol and I’m sure you won’t regret it. Blessed to be able to admitted into this facility and I will continue to use the skills I’ve learned here in the outside world. Thank you Adcare!

My experience at AdCare Addiction Treatment Center has genuinely changed my life. Joe, Lacey, Scott, Nick, Amy, the counselors, case managers, TAs, nurses, and the entire staff all played a role in my recovery and influenced me tremendously. What stood out most to me was that they actually care about me as a person and about my genuine well-being. I never felt like just another patient. Coming here also helped me realize just how dark of a place I was in before I arrived. Once I made it through the first two days of detox, I started feeling better, and I’ve continued to feel better every day since. The groups, clinical work, medication management, and overall structure gave me the tools and support I needed to begin rebuilding my life. AdCare helped make the transition back into society feel much smoother and gave me a different perspective on what my future can look like. If you value your life and you’re struggling with addiction, don’t wait until things get worse. Give yourself a chance to change. AdCare gave me that chance, and I’ll always be grateful for the people here who helped me find my way back

Resilience was really helpful for a friend of mine. They offered EMDR therapy for a lot of the stuff they had been through and they found it very helpful. The therapists were very warm and kind. Groups were very informational too. Would definitely recommend!

I was recently taken to BMC South by ambulance and after diagnosis was immediately taken to the OR for emergency surgery. I can only praise Dr. Val and Dr. Bloch for their decisiveness in identifying and addressing my issue. I awoke on the 4th floor where the care I received from all of the nursing staff was excellent from that time until my discharge 6 days later was in my opinion exceptional. I am truly grateful for the hospital being nearby and having such wonderful, caring and capable staff. Thank you!!!

I not one to write reviews but the care the team gave me in the ER was one of the best I have received in a long time. The nurse Kerry deserves a raise! Her comforting nature put me at ease right away! She cared for me as her own and it showed as I told her 100 times today she one of kind and should be proud of who she is and how she does her job she’s more than as assist to that team and I hope someone in charge see this and does something with it!

Its really all in what you make of it. If you come here with the intentions of doing the work, then you will most definitely have a positive experience. Staff are kind and extremely helpful. I learned a lot from my time here. The grounds are huge and well maintained. The building is very old, but its clean and organized.

This place has really been helpful especially the partial hospital programs. Both the CBT and women’s DBT program. I can’t say enough good things about them. Their programs and staff really focus on wanting to help you, and the staff genuinely care. From the moment you walk through the entrance where you’re greeted by security I’m immediately put at ease. It doesn’t matter if I’ve been there once or several times, they always welcome me back with open arms.

Butler is great but they need help on hiring better staff . I had a horrible experience with a nurse practitioner that lied on my progress didn’t want to change meds that were hurting and making me sick lied to staff and said I was not doing what I was suppose to do moving forward I want Gabrielle back she’s my day 1 nurse practitioner I will be requesting her when I go back in the near future you need to be careful you get as your team I recommend Gabrielle as nurse practitioner she listens she’s smart and she honest and as for therapist I recommend Sarah summers she was great she listens she gets to the point and grounds those are the people I love working with Gabrielle I know for over 7 years and Sarah is more recent . They were awesome as for others recently I had a newer nurse practitioner and she made up lies about my progress and said I wasn’t doing what I needed to which was a lie I did everything I had to do I feel she was upset that I was doing good and that’s shady she didn’t have my best interest like Gabrielle I’m requesting her moving forward I will never agree to work with that last person terrible vaules and not a match for maybe for someone else she great again Gabrielle and I been working for over 7 years there we had a disagreement I overreacted and they changed her I admit I was wrong . Butler does great partial just focus on getting rid of toxic staff members . Thanks for always supporting unfortunately some people you hire are not the best please do better butler we’re. I still support you because there so much good at butler

Through the PHP program and therapy, I was able to overcome issues I wouldn't have able to do alone. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place. Cristina is a superlative therapist who is as intuitive as she is attentive. She offers valuable perspectives to those who may be lacking in some regards due to their own specific, personal struggles. For patients in their 20s, she offers relatability in spades, which was comforting for a patient who presented as worn down, isolationist husk of a human being. I was fortunate to finish the PHP program and to be quickly referred to her as my first therapist.

Went here a few years back. During Covid, wild crowd, the intensity of the whole world to me was making me sick. This was one of the greatest things to ever happen to me. It is almost 5 years later and North Cottage stays with my soul everywhere I go. I love you guys so damn much _yes as others said, intense as in drug testing and checking mens etc. I earned trust and was able to go on runs into the woods almost every morning. This was the place I found God, I had just lost my brother and almost lost myself. I love you guys Thank you. The snow coming down in this trail i would run to each morning is a vision I can't get out of my head. Can't forget it was the men and women who ran this place, mostly men, who made this happen. The staff there are always patient and accomodating. The medical staff are very thorough and make sure they answer all of your questions. Getting an appointment is pretty easy as well. My husband's search for a new Primary Care doctor ended here, with a wait time of only 6 weeks, as opposed to a wait of a year (at least) anywhere else.

I attended the co ed group PHP for a few weeks this summer. I would recommend this therapy group to anyone who needs a reset in their life. The staff are truly caring, including Kevin, Nicole and Kristy. The group space is sunny and well ventilated and safe. Best group therapy I've been a part of.

KAI.W - UNIT 1A - DISCHARGED 9/11/26 I was here since August 18th, about 3 weeks for an assumption, overall the experience was okay, there was good and also bad, for bad. There was a day where I got traumatized, it was on Sunday September 6th, we had a Code 22 and Code blue, a poor staff member everyone loved, who I’m not gonna say who’s name but their first initial, M, the poor guy have a seizure and one of the patients were laughing, it was so traumatic and I cried many times, the staff barley did anything to help the kids and M. luckily m is okay now but still that was so insane, and for another story we have 2 kids now that are so aggressive basically, one kid J, would keep targeting kids and that would lead to some Code 22’s or Doctor Burt’s. I think the kids who are pretty aggressive should stay away from the other kids, yes I know that you guys can’t do much but I feel really bad for my friends who have to deal with all the stuff. The food is also not really kid friendly, the chicken nuggets and pasta is really good, but I remember one time when we had pot roast and the meat was pink and it wasn’t even cooked, it was sad. There’s much more but on the Good side, the kids are pretty nice for the most part, I had friends there and lots of people understood eachother, it’s cool how we are able to listen to music and have breaks in between groups, the groups are semi fun too, I really love word searches so I usually did those and along with some other work. the beds are comfy though I’ve heard from other kids that the green beds are hard and uncomfortable, I wouldn’t know. My overall experience was good. I’m happy I’m out and I’ve gotten the care I’ve needed. - Kai

i went here at one of the darkest times in my life back in 2016. arbor/fuller probably saved my life. definitely one of the best programs i ever went to! i also did their PHP after the detox program & i really valued the groups i attended and the staff who ran them. i learned so much and played a lot of basketball/horse. i always reccomend them to anyone struggling!
