The employees that are currently providing services to those who request it, i believe are about diligence, and take pride in assisting and helping a person find out and learn about themselves in a new way, help to set up a plan for sobriety that works for each individual's needs. I personally find this place has a kind and caring staff, which is what some need at the point in life when they decide to be clean and sober. To start living life again! The counselors there must feel a tremendous sense of responsibility, and i feel deserve to be appreciated for all of their hard work and invested time and emotions involved. I personally thank all of you...and of course the wonderfully friendly, caring nurses.

My daughter is currently at the Hampton location. The staff is not forthcoming with policies and procedures; their handbook does not accurately inform of protocols; information is withheld from families seemingly so staff can flex their proverbial muscles. Access to my child has been greatly hindered by MPA staff. I feel like my child is being held hostage. If I would have known ahead of time how detrimental MPA would be to my family, I would NEVER have sent my daughter there. If you're considering MPA for placement of your child, I would highly recommend you keep searching.

Do not let your child go to this facility. After being sent by the court for possession of marijuana first offense we were assured that he would see mental health and continue his education This is not the case, he returned home yesterday and tested positive for THC. No mental Health Check as ordered by the court. Basically the kids are allowed to do whatever they want. Instead of school he was allowed to go swimming instead. Now just failed 11th grade. If a teen summer camp is what your child needs this is your place. Their approach is that the kids need time away from the stress of life and to shower them with trips and fun. After further reading into the Beckett facility's it came as no surprise the administrator himself as well as another staff member were both arrested for drug possession. Complete Joke thanks for sending us back a child in worse shape than when he left us.Shame on you.

This place quite literally saved my life. I struggled for many years with substance abuse. I tried for several years to get clean on my own but was never successful. I have nothing but great things to say about the Plymouth House if you are serious about wanting to heal yourself. Detox and Rehab are never an easy decision. You know that you want to better yourself but the process is never an easy one. The staff and clinicians at PH are very understanding non judgemental. Some have been in the trenches at times which makes the care and help they offer much easier. The food is great and they are truly genuine across the board not to mention you couldn't ask for a more tranquil environment to heal yourself. No better place to assist you on your journey to recovery

TO ANYONE THINKING OF GOING HERE TO TREAT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH- RUN!! This business grossly misrepresents itself by stating their facilities in Canterbury are for “inpatient psychiatric treatment” for disorders such as schizophrenia. I’m bipolar and was forced to cold turkey stop taking my ADHD meds I’m prescribed by an ACTUAL psychiatrist, they withheld ALL my meds the one night I was there, and when they let me take the non controlled meds I take daily as prescribed- they used my own bottles of meds and STOLE some of my meds, saying they were confiscated. I AM NOT AN ADDICT LIKE ALL YOU RECOVERY FREAKS. I have a serious mental illness and was put under the care of completely unqualified staff who provided literally ZERO oversight. It’s only a matter of time before someone kills themselves there. They tried to hold me against my will. They stole a marijuana vape I had accidentally put in my backpack. They never fed me. They never even met with me to discuss treatment. Truly they should face punishment for the way they’re misrepresenting themselves and whom ever accredited them as an inpatient mental health facility should be fired. They’re damaging actual people with severe mental illness they are unequipped to treat or manage. This is just wrong.THEY ALSO CHARGED MY INSURANCE FOR A 30 day stay when I was there 1.5 days.

They gave me a medical discharge a week before I was able to get my certificate saying they didn't know how to help my mental health a week before I complete My ultimate goal I was sent home not for bad reasons because they don't know how to treat mental health patience that's a way to have somebody fall back into their addiction by playing games with them we're mental ill were not special ed this rehab should be ashamed of themselves and need to and should know how to handle mental health patients instead of giving people cigarettes then getting to understand them first... Ps some of the staff were great very helpful some of the staff look out for that's helpful is Brandon he works morning and night but more at night shift Matt is the top supervisor in the afternoon he is very great to work with very understanding and have a lot of patience for his patients I would say Miss Jones me and her had problems but she is thorough and she is 100% with the program and it will help you with yours go to C2 or A2

This was the first adult psych trip I’d had since turning 18. Going in I was very nervous as my last visit to a behavioral health center for minors was unpleasant to say the least. I can say today though that this was the most comfortable stay I’ve had in a psychiatric unit and I left feeling like my problems mattered while I was there. I was able to meet with a team of training med students and professional psychiatrists at least once a day with vitals taken daily and medication given daily if prescribed. I feel like I understand my mental health a lot better through the optional group therapies which allowed for open discussion between a therapist and all the patients. You were able to see both a professional and personal solution to different problems, such as; coping with grief or cognitive distortions, while sharing your own story if you choose to do so. Often nights the other patients and I would gather around the table and play games or watch TV together while having conversation. The nurses did not specify bedtime or wake time (though most slept before 11 PM and woke for breakfast at 8 AM willingly) making the experience very personalized. Upon leaving I was also provided with a bridge program to meet with a psychiatrist on unit until I can be transferred to an outpatient provider to continue my meds. I was also given written instructions on how to fill out the new patient intake forms at the care center nearest to me making me able to attain a primary care physician! I left there having made a few friends who never failed to lift my spirits or offer a helping hand when I was having a bad day. Overall, I feel better equipped to care for myself both physically and mentally when it had overwhelmed me so much just a week prior. Thank you to the whole team and a special thanks to nurses Melissa and Allison, Ashley, and Dr. Schwartz. These were some members of the staff who left a lasting impression on me going above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in my stay.
