Sequim, WA | Peninsula Behavioral Health is a rehab for drug and alcohol addiction in Sequim, Washington. Every rehab offers different levels of care, and this rehab has outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. The approach this treatment center takes is a unique one. They emphasize progress over perfection and follow a harm reduction model for addiction r | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I wish there were options for longer term care instead of trying to get you in and out of there as fast as possible. I would have liked to get more help instead of only getting to see a counselor for once or twice a month for 6 months before they tell me they need to discharge me to make room for new clients. I recommend going to the Sequim PBH instead of Port Angeles, I had a terrible experience at the Port Angeles one.

The lady at front desk was very helpful, on the other hand the short guy with a negative attitude should not be around Veterans.
We will be reporting this incident to the Senators of Washington state and our President. We have friends who have dealt with this man and he should not be helping Veterans. Truth speaks in silence. This facility genuinely was an undeserved kindness, that in retrospect I have come to an even deeper appreciation of. I found a home here that even years later is a place I know I can go to to as a soundboard for thoughts. The people I met here, staff and peers a-like, became apart of my life in a very similar to family or tribe-like sense. This facility is truly an underrated and deserving of recognition gem that we have here on the peninsula. Kindest Respects.

I went here 5 months ago. I had never been to a rehab or anything of the sort and didn't want to go but did it to save my family. It was a shock to the system at first but by the time I left I was beyond grateful for the new lease on life they provided me with. The staff was excellent considering what they have to put up with. You can't judge a place like this by its patients because it's always changing. You get people who don't want to be there, are there only because the court ordered them to, some people who check themselves in willingly (like me) and some who want to be there because they have nowhere else to go. They did great work on finding people housing for when they complete the program and many of the classes are pretty decent. Watching myself and those around me change over the course of a month was fascinating. If you put in the work, get over yourself and don't try to be smarter than everyone you have a chance to actually change your life. I believe it saved my life. I have been clean and sober since. Some people take multiple attempts and that's ok to, were all on different paths but the key is to just try. Just listen. Whatever you were doing clearly isn't working so you need to try something new. I went from having my first ever panic attack when I got there to laughing harder and more often than I had in years with those people I met and bonded with. Now with that said, it isn't going to be easy, its going to suck a bit but do you really deserve some high end rehab center? Those places are vacations for rich people taking a break from their addictions. This place is here to help break you a little and give you a chance to start fresh.

The Center was a godsend and completely helped my wife get the tools she needed to work on her depression. She is back to her old self with the joy and confidence that are her trademarks. She was in a dark dark place for many years. She specifically credits the staff and the DBT classses at The Center. She also did a sleep study and several nutrition classes that made a big difference for her. I would recommend The Center for depression (ands anxiety) treatment). They seem to have a very good reputation in these areas and my wife was extremely pleased with her treatment.
Our son went to The Center in a very dark place. We all felt it was his last chance to get "well". Severe depression, drugs and anxiety attacks has sapped any remaining hope from him. Frankly we were both desperate and skeptical that anything could work. But we read everything about The Center and watched what seemed like 100 personal testimonies from previous clients. We called and spoke with admissions and they were wonderful. They answered all our questions and were very warm and professional.
My son did go to The Center and all I can say is we have our son back. His turnaround was simply amazing. It was hard work. At first he did not want to be there. But the staff was so supporting and really made him feel like he could do it. The individual sessions and the group sessions made a big impact on him, as did the DBT classes. He has made friends for a lifetime and can't imagine being in the place he was just a few months ago. I highly recommend The Center for anyone needing help.

My experience with the health board has always been beneficial in whatever I'm in need of. From DV council to treatment concerns, general health to help with housing concerns. This last visit was to see the dentist and again, the service from making a appointment, to actually being seen was absolutely attentive to all my needs. I was put on a stand by list so, if there was a cancellation, I was offered a earlier appointment!! So I was seen way earlier than I was going to be seen, and I'm not exaggerating the procedure filling a cavity I had was literally almost painless I felt a tiny prick and that was it. Hands down the best dentist I've ever been to. I also had my teeth cleaned and that was a very pleasant experience also. Everyone on the team is in good communication with each other so, you don't get the right hand doesn't know what the Left hand is doing run around. And the whole vibe was just professional and kinda laid back. So you can relax and trust your in a professional caring environment. It's excellent for family from kids to seniors. Now the location is definitely urban with urban issues. but, I've never had a problem getting to my appointments and, I take public transportation.
However there is parking onsite also. All in all just a wonderful place.

Friday Harbor, WA | The Clearing is a substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health treatment center in Friday Harbor, Washington. The program previously offered a residential treatment option. However, they are relaunching their program online for ease of use and at a more affordable cost. I was at the Clearing in September and had a powerful and transformational experience. We had a group of 8 and I remain in contact with most of my group. I attended for help with lifelong anxiety and panic spirals, and found the counselors to be compassionate, intuitive and very skilled. I would definitely recommend this program. If you are thinking, "I've already been to a treatment center, what makes this different", or "It will never work, my problems are different and I'll never be 'fixed'", I can tell you to stop thinking and apply. I am 52 years old, and for the first time in my life after graduating from The Clearing here is what I can share:
1. I love myself unconditionally and wake up every morning grateful and thankful for the person they helped me become
2. I have been sober for 2 days before I checked in, and for over 3 months since I've left and not even considered taking a drink because I don't need to feel numb anymore - I can sit happily with myself, my feelings, my life - and I feel SOOOOO much better in the morning than I have in 15 years
3. It was expensive, no doubt, but it was THE BEST money I have ever spent on myself and what I learned and gained will last a lifetime
4. What I learned and gained is helping my family, my friends, my community because I am a better person every day
6 years ago
If you're looking for a rehab that delivers on their promises, call The Clearing. The program is amazing, addressing core issues on all levels to facilitate real healing. That said, be prepared to get to work - the 28-day program is basically the equivalent of a two-year Master's in counseling. In workshops and therapy sessions, you go deep into all those issues you've been avoiding for years. But don't worry, all of this is done in an incredibly welcoming and supportive environment. The farm location itself is beautiful, but the people are what make this place so special. Every staff member I encountered truly cared and went above and beyond for us. They paid attention to the details and took great care of us. I loved my group and felt so fortunate to work alongside the other participants. (Also, it's worth mentioning that the guest house was nice and cozy and the food was delicious.) It was the experience of a lifetime. I highly recommend The Clearing!

i was at newport for 55 days and it was quite possibly the scariest time of my life. i was struggling with ptsd, depression, SH and SI, and this place turned all of that around in less than 2 months. i know not everyone’s experience is the same and people are going to view residential treatments differently, but going here genuinely saved my life and my relationship with my parents. i’m almost an adult and have a job straight out of treatment, which wasn’t even a possibility where i was before going there. shoutout to the cc’s and my pod (pine) as well as the amazing chef, i miss him dearly and i hope he’s well. and of course the clinical team (counselor, individual therapist, family therapist). i do miss being there and it was a scary and anxiety-inducing but also incredibly helpful and healing chapter of my life.

Newport saved our daughter and set our family on a stable path to recovery.
Last fall we were losing our daughter to mental health challenges, PTSD and increasingly unsafe behaviors. It took 3 tries to get her to commit to Newport, but after the first few weeks of adjustment, she made more therapeutic progress with the team at Newport than in all of the other interventions we've tried to date (years of CBT therapy, DBT skills, and peer groups) .
We are now 3 months out from her discharge and we still have moments of stress but Newport put us back on the same team in terms of addressing challenges together and we have been super impressed with how our 15yo is using skills to navigate the tough moments.
We are extremely grateful to the Newport team for everything they did to get through to our child and earn her trust in their process.
