I have had the luxury of meeting 2 of the therapist here, Amanda and Val. Both have helped me significantly. Its hard to find a good therapist and when you do its worth the effort. I have been working with Val for a little while and we have a great connection. I feel like Im getting the help I desperately needed and was not able to find elsewhere. I highly recommend this place. When it comes to therapy in general, finding a good fit is up to the individual and it may vary person to person. I feel blessed to have 2 for 2 at this place.

I had the wonderful opportunity to be able to recover at the Hazelden Betty Ford Clinic. They treat your addiction and mental health and that has been tremendously instrumental in my recovery. Every staff member at this facility is kind and cares about your recovery journey. There are so many activities to do outside of groups. The campus is beautiful. I would highly recommend choosing this facility. They have so much to offer and you will not regret starting your recovery journey here!

This place is fantastic. It is not like other places that coddle you and flirt with the idea of sobriety. This team asks the hard questions and focuses on what it means to “live sober”. Come with an open mind and a soft heart and give yourself the permission to leave the weight of the past behind.

This is an excellent treatment center. It's out in the country with a ton of wildlife, and a farm next door with emus, ostriches, horses and a zebra(that i didnt see but it was really cold). There are 4 different buildings so you get outside a lot. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They will help you with anything. From legal issues to Healthcare to filling out assistance forms and sending them in. They will bring you to offsite appointments and court dates. (You won't miss important things like a reviewer said) The food is decent, you will gain weight if you eat all the meals and finish them. While I was there we had an awesome community of people that were willing to help any way they could. There was no judgment if you opened up. The counselors are awesome and teach productive groups.
Other people in the program said it was the best treatment center they have ever been to.
The negative reviews are from family or partners that don't understand the person that went here didn't care about getting sober. Were just there for 3 meals and a warm bed. I watched this firsthand.
They have lockers and locking wall closets so it's your fault if something gets stolen. People steal no matter where they are so it's nieve to think it would change just because your in treatment. That's just a part of life sadly. I didn't see or hear that while I was there though.
Cedar Ridge gave me a very solid foundation for recovery and staying sober. Got me into an aftercare program where I wanted as well. Highly recommend to anyone who needs help getting sober and learning to staying sober.
THANK YOU CEDAR RIDGE STAFF!

Food was served hot, which was good. Veggies overcooked, but for the type of eater in a hospital bed, probably perfect. Goes along with the need for salt. Pot pie crust was buttery and flakey. What makes Willow Haven stand apart, though, is the balance. The schedule is the perfect blend of structure and free time, just enough programming to challenge and grow, and just enough space to breathe, reflect, and rediscover who you are.
The staff?

Wow! What a journey. Please take this seriously for those in addition or wanting to recover! I went here during covid season 2020 when I got my DUI. I was regretting it, didn't take it seriously, etc. I did my month time stay there. Went home continued with addiction cause I still didn't care. After mother's day weekend on 05.09.22 was my first day of sobriety. I'm still sober to this day. Let me tell you what, I've had the most fantastic experiences and time of my life sober! Looking back, wish I'd took things seriously. I even got off probation this year in June. I wasn't supposed to get off until November next year 2024. I mean God's work is honestly a blessing and you definitely feel him working thru you. I remember starting out here at this place, they said "higher power" and I'm like naw, I don't got that. Not even my kids. Oh yeah, God is my highest power! This place is amazing! Trust me! Great staff, food, location, etc! Just please get help! It's not worth your life ending on bad terms! I will never go back to that life style. Sobriety is just the coolest 😎 Lord the energy you have, stability, motivation, passion to keep striving and going in life! Yes!! No more laziness! It's just nice! Thank to this place and the DUI was a huge lesson I needed to kick my rear end into gear! Let's keep going! SOBRIETY ROCKS! SOBRIETY IS THE COOLEST 😎

Wayzata, MN | The Retreat is a peer operated rehab in Wayzata, Minnesota. This is a bit different than a traditional rehab because it’s more mutual and collaborative. They take a peer support approach where you and the others in your program help each other strengthen your sobriety. It’s run by a nonprofit called the Community of Recovering People. The Retre | Treatments Programs Payment Options | To any brand new guests at the Retreat reading Google reviews, either because you’re worried about what exactly you’ve signed up for, or just want to see what others’ experiences have been like—put the phone away—this place is extraordinary. It might make you upset sometimes, and you’ll come to understand uncomfortable truths about yourself. Might piss you off a little, and you’ll learn habits of healthy resolution.
Learn from this place. When a line of people out the door say “good morning” and ask “how are you doing today?” they TRULY want to know. You might never find a group of friends quite like the ones you’ll have at the Retreat.
Being an alumni of the Retreat is one of the things I am most proud to call myself.

I went here back in 2023 I believe in the beginning of July. I delayed my go and staff was saying you’ll wish you went sooner I did! I loved it this place has been a huge part of my sobriety I wish I could’ve stayed longer than a month! Which they will allow you to stay longer! They do help you find scholarships so you can get in! Do no hesitate just call! I still struggle with addiction but I have slowed down a lot because of this place! They do offer help after just call and make the change here!

Having been here for over 10 years I can tell you there’s not a better place to go, without Valhalla (BHG) I wouldn’t be able to thrive and live a normal life which I’ve been able to do. If you’re ready to stop they’ll find a way to help you. The nurses are all amazing and Julia is awesome. Thank you for all you do.
