I made good friends and i ended up leaving with a good state of mind. The bad parts of it is I only did group therapy once and seen my therapist twice the whole time. The food isn’t the best but if you let them know they can put you on a special diet. The rooms can get super hot at night. That was the worst part for sure. When I was 12 I was having bad anger issues and suicidal thoughts to the point I was scared of the harm I was causing to not only myself but others. I came here and I asked a staff member the fastest way to get out of there cuz I was scared. He told me to just cooperate with the doctors and therapists and tell them exactly how I feel so they could help me. I seen and did some crazy shit while in there, but all in all I came out as a complete bettered version of myself and I wish I could tell the kids in there the same thing I was told. Without Ashley Walker, APRN, I wouldn't be where I am in my health journey. I greatly appreciate all she & Cheyenne have done for me over the years. Referrals within BRMC have not been an issue to arrange as well as to other facilities in & out of state. If timing has been a factor it has been from the receiving facility & not on this clinic's end. Appointments with Ashley are made as quickly as possible & more often than not I can be seen on day I call as long as there is availability. Recommend to call early for same day appt. I've used Ashley for my child since a newborn & plan to continue to do so. We go to health dept for immunizations but Ashley takes care of everything else. I was having a lot of trouble or with withdrawal symptoms and wanted to make sure I was tapering the correct way. I met with Brian a couple times and he was very nice. The only negative I have is he did a drug test on me without disclosing that I would get a bill. Now I have a $180 bill to test for drugs that I was prescribed. It would have been nice if the fact that I would have to pay so much for a drug test was disclosed before taking it, and if I had been given an option to opt out. Meagan Jackson 1 year ago I would just like to share my experience about Natural State and the guy Michael who manages the sober living houses. If it was not for him my son would be dead. He told me from the beginning that if my son was willing to go to any lengths to change his life then he would have a chance. I almost enabled my son to his grave by not listening to Michael and taking his suggestions. Today my son has a little over a year sober and is a new person. He also suggested that I go to Alanon meetings which I have been for a year and the relief that I get from these meetings are priceless. She has taken the time to get me set up with housing, a job, and a government phone. Its totally changed my life. She has always meet me on my level and never made me feel judged. I finally feel hope toward my future. The new nurse is also very friendly and seems to care. Great recent hires BHG, its totally changed that place! ThunderCloud Spider Wolf 5 months ago Very kind and understanding staff, wish they had better doctors who had more experience and not just from books, and truly MO needs to up their Recovery Laws and policies, coming from WA state things here are much more rigorous and chronic pain is treated more seriously for addicts in WA, but all my care there was through the VA. Your first 30 days you got to remember ,Maintaining abstinence from drugs and alcohol Paying rent and other fees Participating in house chores Attending house meetings Following curfews Respecting other residents and staff Being a team player Agreeing to random drug and alcohol tests. the lot rules to go by . I watched people get kicked out and that might sound bad but it not . Let me explaine . they start shooting crooked , lying , going behind staff back and thinking they are being slick . no cell phone till you go Block House then you got ask to have one . you got work CQ answering phone and other things ,sighn in and out of bathroom . you get 10 minute shower no longer . write up comes with extra duty ,washing dishes ,cleaning bathrooms floors , meeting room ,washing cars . when you leave you be diffrent person but it fresh start for you so never take it hard and think you being punished .
