Methodist Behavioral Hospital provides a broad continuum of | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I was here about a year ago for 7 days and it was honestly a good experience for me. I made good friends and i ended up leaving with a good state of mind. The bad parts of it is I only did group therapy once and seen my therapist twice the whole time. The food isn’t the best but if you let them know they can put you on a special diet. The rooms can get super hot at night. That was the worst part for sure. Mrs Val is the absolute best teacher there.

As much as people share their bad experiences and reviews about this place it changed my life. When I was 12 I was having bad anger issues and suicidal thoughts to the point I was scared of the harm I was causing to not only myself but others. I came here and I asked a staff member the fastest way to get out of there cuz I was scared. He told me to just cooperate with the doctors and therapists and tell them exactly how I feel so they could help me. I seen and did some crazy shit while in there, but all in all I came out as a complete bettered version of myself and I wish I could tell the kids in there the same thing I was told. Don't fight it, just let them inside your head and take the medicine they prescribe you and it will change your life.

Sending your kid to a place like this is never a fun experience. But sometimes it is a nessacery. It was scary but the employees that I interacted with made my concerns valid and explained stuff so I could understand it the listened to my fears and helped ease them.

With a handful of sessions under my belt, my therapist is not only helping me find ways to process old trauma when it pops up, but also find the root cause to some avoidance and procrastination in my career. She hears my hesitation about working full time without bringing judgement.

I had no direct number to contact the therapist. Google Maps had no directions. I drove around 30 minutes trying to find the location. Finally called the out of state number I’d found, but could barely understand the person, due to a very thick accent. She was zero help. Had no idea, but said she could try & find an email address so I could try & send a message. I thanked her & hung up. I finally found a row of mail boxes in a parking lot that had the address I’d been seeking. Thank God, I’d finally found it. It would be great if you could update address & contact information to ensure no one else encounters what I dealt with. A bright sign on the building would be helpful as well. The large “David’s Burgers” sign should be removed.
The actual therapist seems as if she will be helpful. I enjoyed our first session.

North Little Rock, AR | Natural State Recovery Centers in North Little Rock, Arkansas, offers full care for those battling mental health crises and substance abuse issues. They have a strong emphasis on community and traditional therapeutic practices paired with holistic and customized care. One thing that sets them apart is their focus on the lifelong path to recovery. O | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I went here for a few months for help with tapering off of benzos that I had been prescribed for anxiety. I was having a lot of trouble or with withdrawal symptoms and wanted to make sure I was tapering the correct way. I met with Brian a couple times and he was very nice. The only negative I have is he did a drug test on me without disclosing that I would get a bill. Now I have a $180 bill to test for drugs that I was prescribed. It would have been nice if the fact that I would have to pay so much for a drug test was disclosed before taking it, and if I had been given an option to opt out.

I would just like to share my experience about Natural State and the guy Michael who manages the sober living houses. If it was not for him my son would be dead. He told me from the beginning that if my son was willing to go to any lengths to change his life then he would have a chance. I almost enabled my son to his grave by not listening to Michael and taking his suggestions. Today my son has a little over a year sober and is a new person. He also suggested that I go to Alanon meetings which I have been for a year and the relief that I get from these meetings are priceless. My son was making every excuse in the world to me and I was believing him instead of someone who has walked in his shoes. Again thank you Michael and Natural State Recovery.

Little Rock, AR | Oasis Renewal Center is an alcohol and drug rehab nestled in 48 acres of serene landscapes in Little Rock, Arkansas. They offer comprehensive residential and outpatient care for adult men and women struggling with addiction and mental health conditions. I love that this program offers continuing care planning from the moment you start treatment. Th | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This rehab is very affective in establishing long term sobriety if a person desires it. The negative reviews here are not accurate and the staff very much care for the clients, with most being former addicts and alcoholics themselves. I participated in residential treatment, PHP, and IOP. A client will be paired with a counselor, therapist, and a psychiatrist. Toward the end of treatment a client can be paired with a sponsor of a 12 step program like AA. There are too many resources to list that Oasis and Recovery Centers of Arkansas have to offer, but a person has to desire to be clean/sober and want to change their lifestyle. No one can make an individual stay sober so the staff cannot be blamed especially when they let it be known that the client must put in the effort to rise above their addiction. Thank you so much for accepting me back after 4 years of chronic relapsing. God bless you all!

I wanted to say thank you for really helping me. as soon as i went in the hospital van it fixed me 90% i used to have outbursts weekly and the patients and staff were nicer than the people in school. I was hated by the entire school in 4th grade and the school staff didnt do anything about it every single time i told them and they still dont. I never had one get in trouble out of every single time i was bullied. They said it had to be physical and one time it was physical. And they called it harassment (the non phsyical bullying). To be honest im thinking about trying to sue the school out of 1 billion dollars to get the owner in jail i really dont think im gonna do it because it requires alot of thinking to do it and after i think about doing something bad for a while i just realize i shouldnt do that. And i think you should get a higher review rating because the food is good too

This place, staff is a complete joke. I had a doctor’s appointment that I made admission staff very aware of. Instead of them communicating amongst themselves they were taking turns calling me asking how long I would be. Upon arrival to the facility it was very uncomfortable, unprofessional and very difficult. No one greeted me in a professional manner. The secretary continued to stare at me like she seen a ghost. Not once did she acknowledge me by name. She called back to the nurses station & said she’s here they were joking, laughing while on the phone. Very rude. A couple staff members were prepared to take the necessary precautions to assist me but when my daughter said out her mouth she didn’t want to be there, the nurse immediately said well the mother can take her home or send her back to acute. Not even listening to me or my authority of her needing treatment. I wouldn’t dare recommend a parent to this place.

Honestly, this place is disappointing! I was here for 5 1/2 months & was basically isolated from the entire world. We went on 3 outings in the span of my 5 months. The food was ATROCIOUS!! It was always containing gravy & chicken, snack was almost the same everyday. We once got cinnamon teddy grahams for a week straight for both evening & night snack. They gave us beef stew in a styrofoam BOX!! No cup or bowl. The only utensil we received was a spoon. Only a spoon... not even a spork! Even when we got spaghetti, we had to eat with a spoon. Btw, it's VERY hard to eat foods like that with a spoon. They constantly messed up our diets. Kids with gluten or fruit allergies constantly got what they were allergic to on their "trays". The building is basically falling apart. Mold EVERYWHERE!! Even the bathrooms. Holes in the walls, chipping paint, broken doors. THREE girls were able to run away in my stay there. Multiple staff laid hands on patients here & were not punished for it. Male staff constantly disrespected us female patients. (all female facility)! You go outside once a day. Twice if you're lucky. TV is heavily restricted down to PG Disney plus. *ads included* since centers is too "lazy/busy" to get us w/o ads. I had to wait a whole MONTH before I could see my family!! The best thing about this facility was my therapist & a few female staff. Please think about sending your teens to another facility. This one isn't in the best conditions.

I’ve been going to this clinic since 2017. Brenda Crownover is the best counselor I’ve ever had. And having a psychiatrist (Love you Dr Carter!) to prescribe me in the same building is extra convenient. Dr Crownover is the first counselor I’ve been to that made me feel like she was listening and trying to help instead of just saying “chronic depression take some pills” and being done with it. She took my mental health concerns seriously and even researched and helped me find someone willing to test and diagnose me with autism as an adult. The staff at the front desk is always friendly and helpful, going so far as to tell me they’ll be praying for me when I cancel due to illness and saying they’re happy I’m feeling better next time I come in. I cant think of anywhere more deserving of a 5 star review than this counseling clinic.

6 months (May-Dec) at therapy for mental health (depression, anxiety, overall negativity towards oneself) and literally had no progress with the therapist given to me.
No emotional connection was made and overall cold environment.
When given obvious red flags or problems are shown or spoken of, nothing was addressed and you're usually left in your own thoughts as they turned to type on their computer of notes that may or may not actually pertain to you or are important.
With the advice given, it always seemed to be that they already had a pre-existing impression on you. Thus giving you advice that doesn't help or isn't for the things you are going through. Example: Being told that you need to "sit with your emotions" when you tell them you push your emotions down during high stress situations or emergencies to deal with later.
Overall, bad experience and waste of time and money. Should have referred a psychologist the instant the situation was out of your field of expertise, instead of giving terrible advice and telling me there was no need to go to a psychologist.
If you need therapy, please do get it. Just know a lot of these people who are therapists may end up seeing it as just a job and not actually wanting to genuinely help you but use you for financial gain. The instant you realize that person isn't right for you, no matter the resources they've been able to help you with, drop them for someone else.
There's a reason people go through therapists before finding a decent one that works for them, and it's most likely due to most having old knowledge that isn't useful anymore or having assumptions about you that are false and giving you advice for that over what you actually need.

I was in a dark place when I sought counseling at PCA. They helped me when I had no job or insurance. The saw my need and put me with someone immediately. This isn't the most modern office building in NLR, but these people care; not just docs but the office staff as well. Best place I've gone in my 28 years. These people listen even when you don't know what to say. They find a way to help you say it.
