It can be a scary and painful process going through any program I suspect. But The Ridge staff and their support program made it a very compassionate, Informative, and a truly helpful process. The accommodations were excellent. From counseling through the course work and group work, the program Is a fine balance of healing, education and preparation. Every member of the staff from the cooks and the counselors to the doctors and administration, all were genuinely concerned with my overall well-being and recovery. I highly recommend The Ridge for anyone seriously considering changing their future for the better.

There is alot more freedom here than other places. I think more personal counseling would be beneficial with trauma. No caffeine and no sugar took some getting used to but i got so healthy while being there, I felt great when I left! I had a medical emergency while in residential treatment and the input i got from Dr.Soto was completely wrong, i can count on one hand how many times i interacted her, she had no idea what she was talking about but the rest of the staff made up for that. Overall I had a great experience at the Ridge. I would recommend this to everyone. The staff is amazing and they genuinely care about what's going on in your life ❤️

My name is John Stone and if you want the real review of this place, I’m gonna be 100% honest with you. I spent 113 days there, was it worth it? Absolutely changed my life. I did not do no complaining about things That were meant to be grateful for Sam. My counselor was on point with not bullshitting me. Justin was a very good person as well. Ashley the nurse took the time to really help me on my medication‘s trying and doing the ones that were really worth for me and I’m so grateful today to be calm and not be so full of energy, but enough to just Focus. Rachel absolutely sweetheart, and she does all kinds of great things for the clients. Xavier was one of the best teachers that we had along with Nautica. She was a very straightforward, not letting us bullshit our way out of it, but focusing on the real problem me! This place has given me what I needed. I’ve been in addiction now for over 20 years in my life, but sometimes you just gotta quit complaining take a good hard look at yourself and start changing things and that’s what they help. All of these people help me. Do I give this five stars The rooms are magnificent TV in every room bathroom in every room only complaints I’ve seen came from people who absolutely did not want to change or hear any other person’s view. I Love, aero passages, they help me get rid of me the biggest problem there was thank you aero passages for saving my life taking the time to be straight with me. The people who didn’t make it were just not willing to take a suggestion if you really want to change your life this is the place to go 100% truthful from my heart

The place is very comfortable and everyone is very welcoming. The counselors are very professional and extremely nice. Most groups at Arrow are very informative, fun and enjoyable. They also provide food at both the house and office. And you can do Walmart orders or have family and friends bring other foods/snacks to the office to take back to the house while you stay.

Arrow Passage Recovery is a program that truly gives you what you need if you’re willing to show up and do the work. The help is absolutely there, but this is a place where you genuinely get out of it what you put into it. If you come in with a bad mindset or resistance, you’re probably going to have a rough time — but that’s true of recovery anywhere. Going in with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude makes a difference in every single aspect of the process here. What stood out most to me was the expert level of care combined with real kindness and humanity. The staff doesn’t just tell you what to do — they guide you, support you, and give you the tools to take control of your own recovery journey. You’re not treated like a number. The employees truly care, from the techs to the clinical staff, and it shows every day. The clinical team is exceptional, and my counselor Danielle quite literally was a lifesaver for me. Her support, honesty, and commitment to my growth helped me through moments when I didn’t think I could keep going. Having someone who genuinely listens and believes in you can change everything, and that’s what I experienced here. The environment itself is structured, safe, and supportive — and honestly, it’s better than jail by a long shot. Meals are decent and consistent, which matters more than people realize when you’re trying to rebuild your life. And Ashley’s waffles deserve their own recognition — easily the best breakfast in town and something I still talk about. This program gave me guidance, accountability, and hope, but it also taught me that recovery is self-driven. Arrow Passage provided the foundation, and I had to choose to build on it. Because of that combination — their guidance and my willingness — I can say that I owe my life to this program. As of today, I am 83 days clean, and I am living proof that this program works if you work it. I’m incredibly grateful for Arrow Passage Recovery and the people who made a real difference in my life. I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about recovery and ready to give themselves a chance.

I've been sober since May 30, 2018 after multiple rehab visits at other places and 2 tours of Stella Maris. Stella is where it finally stuck with me. The entire program is great, and it allowed me time to live in a bubble where I didn't have to worry about my problems in the outside world, and I could just focus on healing myself. There is one person that I personally am rating 5 stars because ever since I got there she has been very nice, has more manners than royalty, and a lot of others feel the same. She donated food clothes and helped me out when I was in need. Don't take kindness for weakness though if you pull up with bad energy? They saved my life.. plain and simple. Many of the complaints are by people who dislike structure and rules... as is the mind set of many suffering from addiction. Nowhere did I see a sign saying Hilton Regency. Its not a resort its a treatment facility. I destroyed my life with Alcahol and lost everything... New Destiny restored my hope. I was dead inside and not far from it physically. The counseling and therapy helped me tremendously... but mostly it was the staff. From the first day that I walked into Brightview, I felt welcomed, I felt respected, I felt like a person. I mean that's what us addict's want right? We want to feel comfortable asking for help. Everyone at Brightview were ready to be there for me in whatever way I needed. They kind and gentle. I wish I could say that I've stayed clean and sober the entire time, but I didn't. I went through Prospect House as a client in 2012, and it was the first place where I was able to begin connecting the dots about what was going on inside of me. That experience became foundational — not just for my recovery, but for the direction my life ultimately took. I later built a career in behavioral health, and I often say I learned more during my time at Prospect House than in all my years of schooling. That’s not meant to diminish my education — it was valuable in its own right — but the insight and growth I gained there were unmatched. I wasn’t ready when I arrived, but they helped me become ready. I’m deeply grateful for the role they played in my journey.

I've been a prospector for a long time, it's something special that works in this house, I don't know if it's the residence the staff the structure of the program, it's full of care and love it's spiritual and it forces you to change. This place saved my life. I went there straight from detox and I was home!!! I stayed sober clean and I'm hoping to get a job there I filled out an application? A awesome person I met Melissa Johnston she currently works there she was a client there when I was!! I will never forget the food I got to eat it was amazing!!! The staff was so caring and engaged!! I was treated for hep c while I was there to!!! A nice room with a shower in it!!!!! A personal trainer so we got to work out!!!! The kitchen was opened all night which I thought was great!!! I came to the Youngstown, Meridian Rd location to get off of heroin/fentanyl at the end of 2023. The first day i came in to fill out paperwork i could tell i was at the right place. The staff are so caring and even when they're extremely busy they take their time with you no matter what. My only complaint was that my tolerance was so high and they start out every new patient on 30mg. That led me to still use until a couple months later when i finally got up to a higher dosage and they split my daily dose because i have such a high metabolism as found out they testing. Other than that i have absolutely no complaints and would wholeheartedly call a few of the staff friends. They have gone above and beyond for me a few times and i appreciated it so much. Many others will ask how my days going and while I'm at the dosing counter Maria is sure to ask if everything is ok with me which makes me feel great! The first year and a half i had Krista Rubosky as my primary care and MAT physician. Because i drive 63 miles round trip and because i was going thru other medical problems that hadn't been figured out yet, she would do both appointments at the same time on the MAT side. She was so caring and amazing, the best ever, but unfortunately she left there for personal reasons early 2025. As far as all the doctors, nurses and screening personnel, i can't say enough about how good mannered and patient everyone is and i honestly just love them for doing everything in their power to make us patients feel like someone actually cares and takes the time to do so. My heart goes out to all the employees and especially my counselor Abby. She's helped me more than i actually think she even knows. I've never been to a counselor before but it's been a pleasure being with her. I'll be moving next month out of state and I've got to say, i will wholeheartedly miss each and everyone of the employees at the Meridian Health Campus in Youngstown Ohio on Meridian road. I will genuinely miss our interactions every two weeks on my pick up day. Thanks for everything everyone and to anyone thinking of coming here, do it! You will not be disappointed and don't pay attention to some of the above comments degrading this place. Like anything, you get out what you give in. Simple as that🙂 Have a great day and good luck!!

From the people at the front desk to case worker (Laura) and counselors..the triage nurses..everyone is so kind and patient. Came here for detox but ended up leaving AMA before going to Phase 2 due to extreme anxiety. I've got to say though this place is amazing. Comfortable beds, Roku tvs in every room, understanding staff. For someone "phone-addicted" like me they gave great options for distractions. Thank you everyone who worked there for helping me get off alcohol before it got worse. I had no problems how the staff handled things, some frustrations but all was understandable. 10/10 recommend. I somewhat regret leaving but I'm certain on not continuing to be an alcoholic.

today is August 30th 2022. I feel the need to leave a new review. this week I am moving from one state to another. top of the list for concerns; how do I continue with my MAT? how about there is a Brightview clinic less than 10 mi from my new home? another concern; how do I continue with my treatment until I can get my insurance transferred from one state to the other, how about Brightview will continue seeing me in the new state until my insurance is transferred and then they will bill them. in other words, there is absolutely no excuse to give up my sobriety because I am moving to a different state. if you have any questions or concerns the staff at every Brightview clinic have the answers! if you are really ready to leave your addiction in the past (where it belongs) moving is no excuse to let it take hold of you. love yourself, care for yourself, find a Brightview clinic and let them help you get on the road to the rest of your life. it is there for you to grab and move on. when you hear the words trust the process, you can really trust it with Brightview! i have been in so many recovery centers, and consider myself an "old timer". Nothing worked..... until BrightView! The level of care is phenomenal. From the moment I walked in I felt loved and understood, not judged. I recommend BrightView to anyone struggling with addiction. They have resources for rebuilding your life, that addiction has taken. My message to someone wanting help: go to BrightView, trust the suggestions they give you! Each and every member of the staff go above and beyond the highest of expectations! Thank you, BrightView, Wilmington, Ohio for believing in me and giving me a path to a better life!

This place saved my life. I struggled for years with panic attacks and agoraphobia. Priscilla Turner was probably the best therapist I’ve ever had. She is compassionate, genuinely cares about her patients, and helped me regain my life. After my time with her, my agoraphobia was gone. My psychiatrist, Lori Leipheimer, was equally caring and always listened when certain medications weren’t working for me. She worked with me to find the right treatment, and because of her, I’ve become the best version of myself that I’ve been in a long time.
