Update: Over 2 years sober. I also went through a very high risk period for relapse over the past month. For whatever reason cravings and temptations came back, but I used what I learned at the Ridge and am still sober and so thankful. Definitely recommend. This is the best thing you will ever do for yourself. Update: 526 days sober and going strong. I have definitely had cravings and vulnerable points, but have managed to stay sober thanks in large part to the ridge. I'm at 8 months sober today and can say that the things I learned at the Ridge still help me every day- literally. I am still in the aftercare program and getting a lot out of it. If you need help this is a great place to build a foundation for sobriety (and abstinence from other drugs as well). Summary: The Ridge is an excellent comprehensive treatment program for alcohol use disorder (and others). I personally had an exceptional experience with the residential treatment program, intensive outpatient therapy, and aftercare. Nothing about this experience was easy but I am confident that due to my experience with The Ridge I have a solid recovery foundation (I am just over 4 months sober currently). This review focuses on residential care Highlights -well developed program that is evidence based -full days -attendance at local 12 step meetings -access to a wide variety of recreational activities and art and music therapy classes -I felt prepared when I left and have continued to feel that way (it has been difficult but I have the tools) -staff are compassionate and helpful; many are in recovery themselves - peer support - comfortable accomodations and excellent food My advice if you are going to a program like The Ridge (these things helped me to have continued success today) -follow the rules, yes they may seem silly -do awkward things they ask like getting a temporary sponsor and numbers at meetings -listen to their advice, they may says things that sound stupid,my experience is that the things I think sound stupid end up being the pertinent ones -try to relax into the time; enjoy not having to do a ton of chores, cook for yourself etc -take the time to build a new hobby I electected to go to The Ridge when I came to terms with the fact that I have an alcohol use disorder. I was receiving psychiatric care and my provider gently led me to acknowledge this. Two providers independently recommended The Ridge when I expressed interest in treatment. Residential I initially signed up for the 30 day program but decided to stay longer as I was getting a lot out of the program and am really happy that I did. Residential days are very full. The beginning of the day is filled with groups. The afternoon has time for recreational activities (no naps). A lot of people take up pickleball during this time but there is also the option to go to the pool (when open), do art, write, etc. Evenings there are 12 step meetings in the community. Accomodations I stayed in a private room which I would say was Marrott quality. Cleaning services are provided. You are expected to make your bed (a pretty minor thing). The meals are excellent and snacks are freely available. The culinary staff are great- very personable and great educators. It was sufficiently comfortable and quiet enough to get quality sleep. Nursing Nursing staff were generally available and very helpful. Medication time windows could be a bit tight but were feasible. Recovery support specialist staff Recovery support specialists helped with sessions, daily questions, and herding everyone, They all have different personalities but in general were very easy to get along with. Supervisory staff were very helpful and responsive. Counselors Generally had very helpful sessions, individual counseling was very helpful.

​Prosperity Haven (Now Wellbrook Recovery) saved the life of one of my loved ones and I (as well as my family) will forever be grateful for it!!! We were able to visit every week and the staff and other men staying at the house were always so kind and welcoming to us. The house and property are so nice and well taken care of. The counseling and therapy as well as the friendships that my family member was able to find through this program was so unique and special, I truly believe it saved his life and allowed him to live a life he's really never been able to live before. He is now an alumni and still continues to participate in AA meetings and alumni events. Every week he is excited to reconnect with the men he met at the house and at alumni events since then. His experience at Prosperity Haven has allowed him to fully understand his substance abuse behaviors and how to find the right tools to handle his urges and temptations. It has saved his marriage and relationships with friends and family. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is seeking a place that focuses on both mental health and addiction in a supportive, welcoming environment!!

My name is John Stone and if you want the real review of this place, I’m gonna be 100% honest with you. I spent 113 days there, was it worth it? Absolutely changed my life. I did not do no complaining about things That were meant to be grateful for Sam. My counselor was on point with not bullshitting me. Justin was a very good person as well. Ashley the nurse took the time to really help me on my medication‘s trying and doing the ones that were really worth for me and I’m so grateful today to be calm and not be so full of energy, but enough to just Focus. Rachel absolutely sweetheart, and she does all kinds of great things for the clients. Xavier was one of the best teachers that we had along with Nautica. She was a very straightforward, not letting us bullshit our way out of it, but focusing on the real problem me! This place has given me what I needed. I’ve been in addiction now for over 20 years in my life, but sometimes you just gotta quit complaining take a good hard look at yourself and start changing things and that’s what they help. All of these people help me. Do I give this five stars The rooms are magnificent TV in every room bathroom in every room only complaints I’ve seen came from people who absolutely did not want to change or hear any other person’s view. I Love, aero passages, they help me get rid of me the biggest problem there was thank you aero passages for saving my life taking the time to be straight with me. The people who didn’t make it were just not willing to take a suggestion if you really want to change your life this is the place to go 100% truthful from my heart

The place is very comfortable and everyone is very welcoming. The counselors are very professional and extremely nice. Most groups at Arrow are very informative, fun and enjoyable. They also provide food at both the house and office. And you can do Walmart orders or have family and friends bring other foods/snacks to the office to take back to the house while you stay.

Arrow Passage Recovery is a program that truly gives you what you need if you’re willing to show up and do the work. The help is absolutely there, but this is a place where you genuinely get out of it what you put into it. If you come in with a bad mindset or resistance, you’re probably going to have a rough time — but that’s true of recovery anywhere. Going in with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude makes a difference in every single aspect of the process here. What stood out most to me was the expert level of care combined with real kindness and humanity. The staff doesn’t just tell you what to do — they guide you, support you, and give you the tools to take control of your own recovery journey. You’re not treated like a number. The employees truly care, from the techs to the clinical staff, and it shows every day. The clinical team is exceptional, and my counselor Danielle quite literally was a lifesaver for me. Her support, honesty, and commitment to my growth helped me through moments when I didn’t think I could keep going. Having someone who genuinely listens and believes in you can change everything, and that’s what I experienced here. The environment itself is structured, safe, and supportive — and honestly, it’s better than jail by a long shot. Meals are decent and consistent, which matters more than people realize when you’re trying to rebuild your life. And Ashley’s waffles deserve their own recognition — easily the best breakfast in town and something I still talk about. This program gave me guidance, accountability, and hope, but it also taught me that recovery is self-driven. Arrow Passage provided the foundation, and I had to choose to build on it. Because of that combination — their guidance and my willingness — I can say that I owe my life to this program. As of today, I am 83 days clean, and I am living proof that this program works if you work it. I’m incredibly grateful for Arrow Passage Recovery and the people who made a real difference in my life. I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about recovery and ready to give themselves a chance.

They have been amazing after I moved in they helped me find a new job, when I found out that it would be remote they set me up for success in the house. Their structure has help keep me sober.

I've been here at The Recovery Village in Groveport since September 16th. Its been the best experience of Recovery I've ever experienced, the staff is great, food is great and the rooms are awesome. The staff is absolutely top-notch, always taking the time to provide care tailored to each Peer’s individual needs. Everyone—from the friendly administrative team to the compassionate facilitators and counselors—makes it a point to listen, guide, and offer encouragement every step of the way. The Recovery Village Columbus gave me the confidence and tools to embrace sobriety one day at a time, and I’m deeply grateful for the genuine compassion and dedication of everyone there.

Nowhere did I see a sign saying Hilton Regency. Its not a resort its a treatment facility. I destroyed my life with Alcahol and lost everything... New Destiny restored my hope. I was dead inside and not far from it physically. The counseling and therapy helped me tremendously... but mostly it was the staff. This place saved my life. I went there straight from detox and I was home!!! I stayed sober clean and I'm hoping to get a job there I filled out an application? A awesome person I met Melissa Johnston she currently works there she was a client there when I was!! I will never forget the food I got to eat it was amazing!!! The staff was so caring and engaged!! I went through Prospect House as a client in 2012, and it was the first place where I was able to begin connecting the dots about what was going on inside of me. That experience became foundational — not just for my recovery, but for the direction my life ultimately took. I later built a career in behavioral health, and I often say I learned more during my time at Prospect House than in all my years of schooling. That’s not meant to diminish my education — it was valuable in its own right — but the insight and growth I gained there were unmatched. I wasn’t ready when I arrived, but they helped me become ready. I’m deeply grateful for the role they played in my journey.

Brightview in Wilmington, Ohio has truly been a lifesaver for me. The staff there is truly compassionate and caring. I was an emotional mess when I first stopped there. I didn’t even have an appointment, but I knew I had to get help right away. I’ll be forever grateful to the nurse, Linda, who came to my aid. She welcomed me and my tears with open arms. All of the other staff are truly amazing as well. My Dr. Don truly has a heart of gold and my counselor Lisa is Heaven Sent! I’ve never felt judged or uncomfortable in any way. Everyone that works there is amazing! My thanks goes out to Paula, Lola, Amanda and ALL the staff that have been there to help me through the struggles life has thrown at me this last year. I can’t recall all the names of the other smiling faces that greet me each time I go there, but they all have a way of making me feel like I’m seeing a friend. Awesome job, Brightview! The staff is amazing and caring. They truly want to help people and you can tell that they do. 100 out of 10 would recommend. Brightview is by far the best treatment center I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. If you truly want to stay sober and have a great life then you should go and check them out. They work with everyone's schedules bc they know that life situations happen. I love this place and its one of the biggest helps in my recovery.
