Used these services for a loved one in crisis. Chris was incredibly helpful at guiding us through the full process of the intervention, providing a consultative approach towards finding the right facility, and mediating some of the difficult questions during the actual process.

This clinic isn't perfect by any means, but it is better than any other one I've ever been on. They give you the "cherry" syrup methadone instead of the b.s. water kind, they don't force you to do i.o.p. or groups or anything like that. And the line is usually not too bad all things considered. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants the help. Also, they offer a lot of help with other aspects of your life including employment and mental health services, as well as helping you with getting your foodstamps or medicaid turned on if you need that. Haven't met any staff member there that hasn't gone above and beyond for me to help with every issue that has come up.
UPDATE: so I've been on and off this program like 4 or 5 times. On it now. And of course since the last time I was there which was about 2 years ago there is only one or two of the same staff there. Big turnover rate. But seems like alot of less people on the program or maybe more people getting take home bottles because there is never a line when I go. And they don't allow anyone to "hangout" for like 4 blocks in any direction to prevent the b.s. that goes on outside every clinic in America. I gotta say it's still the best spot I've been to and I've been on at least 5 different ones in ny and nj

I've been to several methadone clinics and Greenwich House is by far the best. Staff is very friendly, accommodating, and professional. If you're looking for a methadone clinic go here, dont waste your time anywhere else. I was medicated on the first day. They dont force you to go to groups. The counselors are very helpful and they have on site medical and mental health services.
Update!
Today, 7/17/23, was my last day at Greenwich House. A few months ago I had been on 210 mg of methadone for about 4 years and decided it was time to get off. So I began to taper down relatively fast dropping 10 mg per week. When I got to 20 mg I slowed down to 5 mg decreases per week. Anyway, when I got down to 5 mg I decided to go down to 2 mg and that was today. I got my weeks worth of 2 mg bottles and when they're gone I'll be totally off methadone. I did this with no withdrawal symptoms or cravings. And I have not touched dope since I began the program on 4/27/19. I'm so proud of myself and this is a total success story. There is such a stigma about methadone. People say it's like "liquid handcuffs" or that it controls your life and it's impossible to get off and it's just replacing one drug with another, but I'm proof that none of that is true. Methadone saved my life and when I felt I didn't need it anymore I got off, simple as that. I would like to thank my counselor Sophia and Marlene from the medical department for both always being so supportive and accommodating. They genuinely care about all of their patients and deserve mentioning although all the staff is very caring, helpful and professional. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are struggling with addiction. They WILL help you.

Hi everybody! I am a current resident at Samaritan village's inpatient and methadone facility and I think they have a wonderful program! I have been to many programs and this is by far the best. In their residential program, you have access you methadone maintainence although it is not required, you receive your psychiatric medications and have an on premises psychiatrist and primary care Dr although you may see your own. I see theirs and they are wonderful. They do not chastise you if your on a controlled psychiatric medications, it is considered and often allowed if you have a diagnosed. They offer both methadone and Suboxone and the clinic in the Richmond Hill facility has their methadone clinic right downstairs so you can dose upon waking up. The staff is caring and professional, and the community is caring as well. Well that's about all I have to say! If you are struggling with substance abuse and looking to change your life, look no further! This place is 5* and fully covered by almost all insurance as far as I know! I have Medicaid and they cover my services here

I have been with Malvern/Progressions on and off for years now. At first everything was fine beside the occasional rude lady at the front desk BUT since I have been with them I have been with 3 different therapist that just up and left, giving very short notice. Do you know how stressful and overwhelming it is to keep having to start over, start from the beginning of your very traumatic life???? Not once, not twice but THREE TIMES!!!! Someone with bipolar depression and high anxiety it is not easy opening up to a stranger and everytime I get to the point where I shared just about everything and put my full trust into them they're just like "well it was nice knowing you, don't contact me again"....LIKE WHAT?!?! So if you're looking for a permanent therapist, a therapist that actually cares about your emotional well being, this place is not for you. I have given this place so many chances and all they did in return was cause me more emotional stress.... Thanks alot Malvern/Progressions/whatever you go by now....

As 2025 winds down, I can’t help but look back at this past year — especially the four months and 21 days I spent at Rolling Hills. It was the hardest, rawest, most transformative stretch of my life. And now, for the first time in I don’t know how many years, I’m heading into Christmas and the end of a year with resilience, clarity, confidence, and a real sense of who I am.
When I think about how I got here, one name hits me right in the heart: Doreen.
Don’t get me wrong — every staff member played a part, especially my primary therapist, Brian, who walked me through things I never thought I’d face. But Doreen… Doreen is different. She’s the force of nature you don’t forget. The one who doesn’t judge, doesn’t look at you as a diagnosis or a story someone else told — she sees you.
It’s like she can crawl into your brain, read the instruction manual you never got, and somehow understand exactly how to reach you. She does it with every single client, every single day. The amount of effort, planning, and heart she pours into her groups? Unreal. This woman is a superhero — cape optional, impact guaranteed.
She also has this Santa-level magic. Not the “ho-ho-ho, here’s a present” kind, but the “here’s the truth you need to see, whether you’re ready or not” kind. She’s not there to make things easy. DYC is truly an amazing place.
Our son has thrived here, and has grown and learned a great deal. The staff is very dedicated, and there is even a weekly parents group.
Our son is given responsibilities, and there are expectations and discipline. He loves his position as part of the landscaping crew, and there is a joyful anticipation to transfer to the next phase in Brooklyn.

My husband has degenerative problems and the VA has signed off on FMLA for me previously. I requested FMLA again to support my husband for a hip that deteriorated in the past 3-6 months and now needs replacing, a hospital stay cause the couldn't get his blood pressure under control as it was in the 200s, a arm that they can't explain why he can no longer lift all in a matter of a month time. On top of all his normal problems that continue to worsen. I waited the VAs 30 policy when it comes to filling out forms only to be told they were not ready, when they finally were in was given 1 to 2 times a month I'm allowed to use FMLA after previously getting 2 to 3. When I went to NB location to ask to correct the form I was given a attitude by 2 ladies at the front end. It's now been 37 days of waiting for the form cause the primary dr doesn't know how to fill out the forms for me.
I understand the VA has more to deal with than your average doctors, but honestly if you don't like your job and helping people go find another job. Cause something so simple has turned into a VERY big problem for me and I will go to no end to support and protect my family. Also the reason behind this review.

Some wildly inaccurate comments have compelled me to write a review. I have been with tempo for almost two years now, abrasive, unprofessional, and rude is a complete misrepresentation of this staff. I was once in your position so I have an understanding of where you may be at mentally. If you can’t get one over on people that doesn’t mean they are rude or insensitive. Its time to grow up. I dealt directly with Charlene over email and on the phone last week and she was nothing, but pleasant and helpful. She worked with me and we reached a mutually beneficial outcome that same day. I know I am not the easiest person to deal with, but the Tempo staff have always treated me with respect and kindness since day one. I suggest you continue to seek help and take it seriously. This is your life and if you are having a hard time with people who are truly looking out for you, it might be time to do a serious evaluation of your life and who you are.
