I was a little nervous about going to a psych hospital that was an hour and a half from where I lived, but I have nothing to say but good things about this facility. The shrink wasn't the best, but the nurses and support staff were amazing. I spent a little over 2 weeks there, and it really helped. Not my preferred psych facility, but they really helped. So, if yr having trouble dealing with mental health, and in need of help, this place won't do you wrong. And the food was very good. Once they realized I was a vegetarian, I got great food. This place helps you put things into perspective. After my stay, I know I won't need to go anywhere else. They made me understand that I'm ok. And that's a feeling I haven't had in a while.

I loved the stay. It did get boring without paul/school. The staff there are helpful. My favorite staff is Nick, there's more but I forgot their names. I did have one issue every time this girl threw a tantrum they would make us go somewhere else. She was moved to our unit, and it bothered everyone every time she threw stuff, etc. We were also scared of her

Just started coming here a month ago and I’ve been kicking myself for not coming sooner. Definitely had some misconceptions about methadone clinics that have all been proven wrong by personal experience here. Every single member of the staff from the security at the door to the counselors, medical staff, and dosing nurses are incredibly kind and supportive and just want to see you succeed. Despite being spread thin and having minimal staff for the sheer volume of patients they see the staff is always so positive, helpful, and caring. I am incredibly grateful for every single person working here. I have already seen a difference in my life from having a set schedule in the morning to adhere to, and the staff here made this entirely possible for me. I don’t think I would’ve been this motivated to become clean if it wasn’t for the people that make up PCTC. Thank you so much! Y’all have made a difference in so many peoples’ lives, including mine.

Since becoming a client at VICTA I'm so grateful for the caring n nurturing staff. They Get It! They're not about just dose n go. Tho you can get that too if that's how you like to roll. I guess what I'm trying to say is that no matter where you're at in your recovery they're there to provide whatever level of care you need. Or they'll refer you to whatever agency is able to provide you with what's necessary if you need inpatient care. I just really like the way they run there establishment

I just spent a week in the detox center in North Stonington and I can't possibly express how amazing my experience was. I was broken, beat down and withdrawing from alchohol so badly. The staff was amazing, supportive and kind from beginning to end. Even the food was top notch (I've been to a few others that "food" was a loose term at best) For the first time in many years I really feel like I have hope to stay sober this time for good. I start their IOP program tomorrow morning and I'm looking forward to a life worth living without booze once and for all. Thank you all so much for being there to help us at our worst and to show us WE CAN RECOVER 🤘🤘🤘

I’ve had the most pleasurable hospital experience of my life here. I came in nearly passing out due to a severe asthma attack and they rushed me in and gave me the necessary treatments and medications and tests nearly instantly. I also could not have asked for a better staff, despite my never-ending questions and requests they have greeted me with kindness, support, and top-notch care. I never leave reviews for hospitals but after everyone here went out of their way to make me feel at home, I thought I’d encourage others to experience it as well. I’ve also been to RIH several times and have never been as satisfied as I am when I’m here. Overall, great care, great staff, great results!

My dad was brought in the to ER on Friday 5/16/25at 1:00AM, he was greeted by some wonderful nurses, they cared for him and my family, we were in the ER for 16 hours, due to lack of room availability, but they were all so nice and the ER was very busy by morning! When we finally received a room , his nurse on 3rd floor, Laura and his CNA Lisa Williams were amazing, I cannot thank them enough for his care. Lisa was so good to my dad, it made me feel comfortable having someone there who I knew would take good care of him. She went above and beyond to make sure he was safe, supported and had his needs met when he needed her. Lisa is a incredible person and she should be commended for the care she gives her patients. I received exceptional labor & delivery care, as well as outstanding OBGYN support, at Day Kimball Hospital, and I am truly so grateful for the entire team. I want to extend my deepest thanks to Gina at the Birthing Center, who quite literally helped save both me and my baby. I arrived too late to receive an epidural and was in excruciating pain. Gina’s calming presence and steady guidance helped me breathe and stay grounded through the most physically agonizing experience of my life. What I later learned from my husband only deepened my appreciation: during labor, I gripped Gina’s hand so tightly in my pain that I risked injuring her—but she never said a word and simply stayed with me. She bore that pain in silence so I could get through mine, and I will never forget her compassion and strength. I am also incredibly thankful to Dr. Aziz, who responded immediately following the birth. After sustaining a second-degree tear, she ensured I was stabilized, safe, and cared for every step of the way. During my recovery stay, every single nurse we encountered checked in on me, my baby, and my partner. They answered every question, made sure we understood everything, and treated us with care and respect. We received excellent guidance on breast feeding, and the entire team was very supportive of Dad as well. Our health, safety, and peace of mind were clearly their top priority. Thank you, Day Kimball, from the bottom of my heart. I will always be grateful for the way your team held us—literally and figuratively—during one of the most vulnerable and profound moments of our lives.

I have had the honor of being accepted into the program, the class and meeting are well put together, they do have the skills you need to be successful in your recovery, you just need to be completely focused on your recovery and dedicate yourself to that, because if you don't the program will not work. I sit back and watch women complain and iI see them same women not fully applying themself to the program, if you want something to work you have to read and do what the instructions say or you're not going to get it right, and you tend to blame the program. 1st I believe the consistent use of the cell phones are a major distraction to our recovery while we are here, there are unit phones that can be used. Also, the rules need to be enforced more and taken serious by the clients, the disrespect between the clients are childish in this moment, so staff are in high stress due to the disrespect they receive by the clients, please don't believe all the wrong things you here about this program. I am an addict and in recovery, we have a tendency to say things out of anger and when things don't go our way. this program really works, but only if you work it.... truly, sincerely Ms. Keyonna Fontes 7/4/24

* Update: I absolutely love them so far. Great team once you get in (waitlist can be a while). I also found out it’s Hailey not Heidi. So I will change it to 4 stars but still don’t like how that employee handled things* I show up at 8Am and I am second in line. They end up giving me an appointment for 11 Am. I’m upset because I called out of work that morning and I already had a pediatrician appointment at 11:40. Heidi tells me I should come in before 8AM tomorrow again (like I don’t have a job and kids to feed and she’s saying it while unbeknownst to her I was there before 8Am 😡) I tell her I can’t do it because I already did that today and that I WOULD come back after picking up my baby, when I come back with my infant SHE HAD CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT. She has the poor older lady come confront me to tell me a lie that the provider had an urgent matter and left. I of course question it and they admit it was a mistake and she cancelled me. Heidy refused to look at me. I told her she could’ve just been upfront or said something and that she knew I already had a rough day and I told them I couldn’t take off work for tomorrow. And now that my appointment is canceled the very least she can do is just own it and tell me what happened or offer me helpful solutions. She just refused to look at me or help me and ignored me when I talked to her. Disheartening experience. Two stars for the kind hispanic lady who helped me, I apologize for not remember her name right now. But I appreciate you coming to talk to me and offering helpful solutions.
