There were issues at times; however, those were driven by decisions made by CFD corporate, not the Greenwich staff (e.g., to put the program on Zoom during renovations w little notice and a revolving door of directors which was due to corporate making shortsighted hires for that position). However, my daughter's team on the ground in Greenwich was strong, particularly Sam Basilone (therapist) who is now the director of the Greenwich office. Sam is committed, caring, develops strong bonds with clients. She has good instincts and judgement and is a skilled therapist who the clients including my daughter adored. She sets a professional, motivational, and warm tone and in her new role as director is an asset to the Greenwich program. Having been through this journey, I would caution readers of these reviews not to be scared off by posts that say things like "they tried to make me go to residential." That's not how it works. If a client is not able to get well in the inpatient setting, CFD has a responsibility to recommend a higher level of care if that's what they believe the clients needs in order to get well. It's hard to hear and scary, but a part of the process. It's never abrupt or forced. It's a series of kind, thoughtful, frank conversations with the health of the client being the only driver. A highlight of the program for me were the family days on Tuesdays. Clients were able to bring a family member where we all participated in 2 group sessions lead by therapists as well as a shared dinner at a communal table. It was illuminating and valuable to me to hear people share their stories and feelings. A supportive environment was created at all meals, including those with family on Tuesdays. A staff member joined and encouraged word games to help create a distraction and lift the mood. They were usually successful. I saw the clients develop close bonds and sometimes friendships. Conveniently, 2 minutes away from CFD, is probably the best ED doctor in the tristate area or beyond, Dr Marcie Schneider who I highly recommend. Just recently she began taking insurance making her more accessible to more people. It was a positive experience. We remain in touch with Sam. J 4 months ago Great place. It felt like a godsend to be working with him. I am very grateful and I feel sure that the treatment plan that is moving ahead would not have happened without him. I know we weren't sure in advance how to know who is good in this field, so I'm leaving this here for others in the position we were in. Every physician I worked with—Dr. Hellerman (Endocrinology), Dr. Newman (Surgery), and Dr. Indich (Primary Care)—took the time to truly listen, explain everything clearly, and treat me like a person rather than a chart number. The team at Yorktown Imaging was equally wonderful, keeping my spirits high and putting me at ease during my pre-op MRI. On surgery day, everything ran like clockwork. Admissions was private and efficient. A patient care concierge explained the tracker system to my husband so he could follow my progress, and my prep nurse was attentive, communicative, and made sure he could sit with me before surgery. Dr. Newman took extra care to place the incision where scarring would be minimal, and the anesthesiology team kept me completely informed. Their care and attention towards me was constant, deep, and real. They really provide the peace and atmosphere that allowed the Doctors and I to do incredible amounts of work and healing. The Doctors too were incredible, talented, and providing a very high standard of care. Food was amazing (yes it's hospital food, adjust your expectations a bit). I had steak, burritos, pho, Thai, lasagna, pasta, bbq, burgers, and more. Across 6 weeks I think they only repeated a dish 4-6 times. And there's a salad bar and panetta/sandwich bar every meal. Many kids ate grilled cheese every meal instead of grown-up food and vegetables, so I would take their complaints with a pinch of salt, hah. Reading the other reviews is amusing. Bear in mind the complaints are coming from sick people, and it is frustrating to not find a silver bullet for very real and severe illnesses. Some people enter thinking this is a spa vacation. It is not. Your healing will require you to do work on yourself as well. The more you invest in the process the more long term success you will realize (I am not a Doctor, but my peers who invested in recovery had similar progress to myself) Mason J 2 months ago Silver Hill took me in when I was at the lowest point in my life. I went to several different programs during my stay and was treated with respect and care the whole time. There were the usual tiny wrinkles that comes with being in a hospital system but overall it was a wonderful hospital that has a lot of different specialties. I would highly recommend if you can afford it or have insurance coverage. I worked with Dr. Emily Haas and Micaela Scully and would also recommend them for trauma care. She made the registration process comfortable and easy.During my visit, I underwent a Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA), which uses computed tomography to take detailed images of the heart and coronary arteries. During the examination, Lorna, the CT scan technician, administered medication to help slow my heart rate so the images could be taken properly. Lorna was very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. She did an excellent job explaining and handling the procedure. She is originally from the Philippines.The X-ray technician was also very nice, professional, and helpful.The hospital floors and facilities were very clean, and the staff provided excellent service throughout my visit. The only concern was that it took some time to get my appointment.
