yes, i do not want to be here. but everyone is nice. cara, one of the two dietitians, is very funny. she challenges me and i don’t always like it, but it will probably help me. to be clear i am still here. i’m writing this while still in php, but still. my therapist, kiran, is also very fun to talk to and always listens. you get a two sessions a week with your treatment team. you bring your own dinenr, they supply for lunch and snack. you have four groups a day to help you. the cycle menu is very repetitive but it’s fine. grace, the group facilitator is the nicest person i’ve ever met. i think i’ve gotten better here and i hope to everyone else who comes is able to get better as well!!

If you are ready to take this program seriously you can recover here. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate and driven. I trusted all of their directions for my care and it all turned out to be exactly what I needed. On tough days they were there to boost me up and on good days they celebrated me. They were patient and understanding of the stress caused by going through recovery. I never thought recovery was possible but CDF Greenwich proved me wrong.

Greenwich, Connecticut | Backcountry Wellness for Eating Disorders, located in Greenwich, Connecticut is a private alcohol and drug rehab that offers treatment for a variety of substance abuse addictions including co-occurring mental health disorders. They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery. | Treatments | Hello! To anyone planning on admitting here, I would like to give you my true, honest thoughts about this facility as a client who has experienced their Residential, PHP and IOP programs. I understand how treatment is something that is incredibly difficult to start and should not be treated lightly, due to the complex and vulnerable nature of eating disorders. It is crucial to note, my intention in this review is not to sugar coat it by all means, I would just like to give information and advice that I wish I would've known before being admitted. Like everything in one's life, nothing is perfect, however, from the bottom of my heart, this is a phenomenal treatment center compared to the many others out there. On the positive side, unlike many ED treatment centers, Backcountry Wellness takes both a very family-based and individualized approach towards recovery. They do not utilize the usual one-size-fits all approach and instead base important decisions and actions off the individual's personal strengths, weaknesses and abilities which is something that is incredibly notable and valuable in the process of recovery due to the fact that once again, eating disorders often have co-occurring issues (AKA comorbidities) such as anxiety, depression and other things. In general, most time spent at Backcountry Wellness is spent on different forms of group therapy, including but not limited to: ACT, DBT, CBT and other topics that address struggles that one with an eating disorder may experience. BCW makes therapy enjoyable by not only offering fun forms of therapy such as yoga, baking and art therapy, but also allowing individuals to connect with peers by openly discussing their true thoughts and commonly shared experiences. Additionally, they do meals/snacks exposures. Most, key word MOST staff at Backcountry are incredible at what they do. From my personal experience, almost all of the staff are truly passionate people about what they do. They aren't just working here for the money, they do genuinely care about mental health and the wellbeing of all clients, something that is crucial, especially in the field of healthcare. To all the BCW staff, especially Zana, Joanna, Stella, Taylor, Edilys, Stephanie, Roxanne, Angelica and both Lauren's, thank you so so much. My progress not only with my ED but just mental health in general could not have been achieved without you guys. Thank you for showing up each and everyday and being there for me at both my best, and my worst. They are professional, yet are also people who you can casually strike up a conversation and be yourself around and this applies for both parents and clients. At BCW, each client receives the following: a family therapist, individual therapist, and dietitian. In Res, depending on the client, you get to go on outings (aquarium, arcade etc) once a week, baking once a week and yoga around three times a week which is absolutely amazing. On the contrary, one of the downsides to BCW is that they are understaffed. Depending on if you are in Residential or PHP/IOP, nine times out of ten, there is a significant client to care coach ratio. Clinicians also spend regular time with clients, which is great, however, the fact is that there are around 7-13 clients who are all different age ranges which can sometimes be a little too much for 1 carecoach, since normally the other one is busy with another task and a few clinical staff to effectively manage. Additionally, the overall vibe of the group heavily depended on which staff was there which in my opinion, was very bittersweet. Over all, in my personal experience, Backcountry is a great facility for adolescents seeking support for ED recovery. I am incredibly grateful to have met so many great people, both staff and clients. It simply wouldn't have been possible without them! Community and a sense of belonging is something that is very much needed when in such a vulnerable situation and it has helped me become such a better version of myself:) Even though I am still receiving support here, thank you so much Backcountry.

Wow. Literally my second home. I never thought I’d be crying and not wanting to leave a residential.
When I first got there, no one was shy or had a filter (in a good way). Everyone was like “this place does something to you” and I thought they ment that I’m a bad way but no. Not only does it help you w your ed and mental health, etc, but it brings the real you out. It was the most me I’ve felt in a long time. I felt my true personality come out and never once was I judged. I came home happier and more me and just simply amazed by how much my personality has shown.
Not only the other kids did I LOVE, but staff. There were staff there who would go out of their way to help me and give me advice to something totally unrelated and I really appreciate it (Sam P). All the staff were there to do their jobs and help me (some better than others but still). They always showed up to work to one, be a care coach, but also just be a friend. Some of the best care coach’s were able to not just be a care coach but also act as a friend you can laugh with (while still following rules and making sure everyone is ok). Such as Liz, Taylor and Roxanne. They helped make the place way less scary.
Time also goes fast there. Every day you have a set schedule which I find SO helpful and still use today when I’m home.
You will also, over your time there earn exposures and outings. Never once did I not enjoy an outing. The staff and your team will also help plan exposures for you. I will NEVER forget the time the nurse Zana (she’s a queen) took me and 2 other clients out to eat. Or the one time Reuby and Stella took a few of us to the diner. They wanna set you up for success and I feel that they did with me.
One little problem though, and I say little becuase I know they are working on it. Is that they are understaffed. Through out my time there were many instances where I wanted to grab smt or needed smt but there “wasn’t enough care coaches”. Also though, in my time I had seen many more people interviewing and many people getting hired and trained.
I also wanna thank Emma, Julie and Rebuy. Me and Emma started on the same day but somehow I didn’t even know she was new. She knew exactly what she was doing and was amazing at her job. And Angelica, she’s like the care coach Mom. The sweetest and kindest person you’ll meet. Always bringing new fidgets in or doing people’s laundry. She runs the best school times!
Chase bronfman also needs to make appearances more.
Even though everyone’s treatment is different and requires different things, from what I’ve seen, BCW can help you with basically any of your needs.
But overall, Im in IOP now and I wanna thank BCW for all they have done. I’m not nearly done w my journey but I’m so grateful for everything they’ve helped me accomplish so far.
It was at BCW that be and my best friends, siblings, found what we wanted to do with our life. Open a residential to help others. I’ve always wanted to be a therapist and this fits right in!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Seafield. It basically saved my life and has guided me to a much healthier and happier way of living. I have 1 year sober, and I give much credit to this facility for getting me so where I am today. From the West Hampton rehabilitation center, to the women’s sober house, to the outpatient counseling and meetings, it has been nothing short of wonderful and life changing. I have acquired so much from the amazing counseling and people that work here, the way you feel accepted and understood is profound. Bergan New Bridge Medical Center offers drug rehab services to young adults and adults in Paramus, New Jersey. Specialized services are available for veterans and adolescents. Upon admissio | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Christopher Inzerillo (Orthopedic Surgeon) and Dr. Sufian Sorathia (Gastroenterologist) for their exceptional care and dedication.
I underwent shoulder surgery with Dr. Inzerillo, and the experience exceeded my expectations. I had no pain whatsoever, not on the day of the surgery nor in the following days. My range of motion, strength, and functionality returning within the weeks that followed, thanks also to the outstanding occupational therapy team he recommended.
Dr. Sorathia provided care of the highest professional and human quality. He was thorough, attentive, and ensured that every necessary test was done to rule out any issues, addressing every detail of my health concerns. I couldn't thank him more for the exceptional treatment. His team was equally compassionate and efficient, offering a level of care I had never experienced before.
Thanks to both of these remarkable physicians and their teams, I truly have my life back. I cannot thank them enough for their expertise, kindness, and commitment to their patients.
Thank you so much.

I've had multiple services done at New Bridge (ultrasounds, bloodwork, and CT scan) and had a great experience with them. The staff were friendly and the services were completed quickly and accurately. They sent the results to my other doctors as needed both within the New Bridge system and out (my a long time cardiologist in NYC). I also know that they provide a ton of community services to the local Bergen county area and beyond, and though I haven't personally needed it, their ER frequently has very quick waiting times compared to other hospitals I have experienced. Additionally, my primary care provider, Mellie Belvis, is part of New Bridge as well, and she is outstanding in terms of care, attentiveness, and skill. Highly recommended for healthcare services!

I'm truly astonished at the ungrateful and entitled people who are leaving these bad reviews.
They expect Club Med, for FREE no less, as someone holds their hand for 24 hours a day and sings them to sleep.
Unbelievable.
I arrived at Bergen New Bridge as many others have, sick, terrified and defeated. I had been absolutely abandoned by my pain management doctor of 15 years when my regular monthly Methadone prescriptions suddenly become impossible to fill as I had been doing for a decade and a half. New DEA rules or some such nonsense.......I won't get into specifics as to how badly my dr screwed me and how he just didn't care that I was about to enter hell, but he did and I was completely out of options.
After finding nothing on the internet that wasn't 30 to 50 thousand dollars, I found New Bridge. I couldn't believe that they took me right in with no insurance or money.
They got me through five really hard days......coming off of 80 MG of methadone a day for 15 plus years was no joke......but the doctors gave me meds that made it entirely bearable, I was actually amazed that I didn't get a lot sicker. The staff are all caring and attentive. Sure, its old but its clean. A bed and a TV and 3 meals a day (food was OK, sure could have been a lot worse) what more do you want for free for god's sake?
I would recommend this place to anyone needing help with nowhere else to turn.
Dr Accurso deserves a special shout out, he is amazing.

I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina.
Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.
Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.
Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it’s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife’s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. Most important she has helped keep our sons recovery moving positively forward day after day.

The best run VA facility in the United States. I've been patients of the VA all up and down the east coast as well as in the middle of the United States. Although it feels like the NYC Bronx VA has the oldest building, it is the best well run. The doctors there care about their patients more than any other VA. If any doctor touches your records or makes a decision then you have access to that doctor. Also if you need help for any reason and all appointments are booked then you can always walk in and be squeezed in. The James J. Peters VA cares about the vet and the care. Patients maintain their doctor in NYC and fly up from other parts of the country just to have an appointment. It's that good.

While there are always flaws no matter where you go, it's not a one-size-fits-all. I have personally witnessed for four years many people succeed who are committed to changing their lives.
Truth is you have to not only want it but also be willing to work for it. There comes a point in an addict's life where they will do anything to change their circumstances and patterns of behavior that led to their current state, and those are the clients that succeed at Odyssey, or anywhere else.

Mountainside has been one of the best treatment facilities that I have ever worked with. Recently, I had a family member complete inpatient and IOP and I was amazed at how well the team works with their clients. From the initial intake process to referral services, I would have been lost without them!
