yes, i do not want to be here. but everyone is nice. cara, one of the two dietitians, is very funny. she challenges me and i don’t always like it, but it will probably help me. to be clear i am still here. i’m writing this while still in php, but still. my therapist, kiran, is also very fun to talk to and always listens. you get a two sessions a week with your treatment team. you bring your own dinenr, they supply for lunch and snack. you have four groups a day to help you. the cycle menu is very repetitive but it’s fine. grace, the group facilitator is the nicest person i’ve ever met. i think i’ve gotten better here and i hope to everyone else who comes is able to get better as well!!

If you are ready to take this program seriously you can recover here. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate and driven. I trusted all of their directions for my care and it all turned out to be exactly what I needed. On tough days they were there to boost me up and on good days they celebrated me. They were patient and understanding of the stress caused by going through recovery. I never thought recovery was possible but CDF Greenwich proved me wrong.

Backcountry Wellness has been an absolute blessing for our family. When our daughter was struggling with her eating disorder, we felt lost, overwhelmed, and at times hopeless. From the moment we connected with BCW, everything changed. The staff and team they’ve built are EXCEPTIONAL, caring, professional, and deeply committed to their work. The program is incredibly well thought out, with the right balance of structure, compassion, and expertise. They not only supported our daughter but also guided us as a family through one of the hardest times of our lives. The difference this program made is priceless. I can wholeheartedly recommend BCW to any family in need.

Wow. Literally my second home. I never thought I’d be crying and not wanting to leave a residential. When I first got there, no one was shy or had a filter (in a good way). Everyone was like “this place does something to you” and I thought they ment that I’m a bad way but no. Not only does it help you w your ed and mental health, etc, but it brings the real you out. It was the most me I’ve felt in a long time. I felt my true personality come out and never once was I judged. I came home happier and more me and just simply amazed by how much my personality has shown. Not only the other kids did I LOVE, but staff. There were staff there who would go out of their way to help me and give me advice to something totally unrelated and I really appreciate it (Sam P). All the staff were there to do their jobs and help me (some better than others but still). They always showed up to work to one, be a care coach, but also just be a friend. Some of the best care coach’s were able to not just be a care coach but also act as a friend you can laugh with (while still following rules and making sure everyone is ok). Such as Liz, Taylor and Roxanne. They helped make the place way less scary. Time also goes fast there. Every day you have a set schedule which I find SO helpful and still use today when I’m home. You will also, over your time there earn exposures and outings. Never once did I not enjoy an outing. The staff and your team will also help plan exposures for you. I will NEVER forget the time the nurse Zana (she’s a queen) took me and 2 other clients out to eat. Or the one time Reuby and Stella took a few of us to the diner. They wanna set you up for success and I feel that they did with me. One little problem though, and I say little becuase I know they are working on it. Is that they are understaffed. Through out my time there were many instances where I wanted to grab smt or needed smt but there “wasn’t enough care coaches”. Also though, in my time I had seen many more people interviewing and many people getting hired and trained. I also wanna thank Emma, Julie and Rebuy. Me and Emma started on the same day but somehow I didn’t even know she was new. She knew exactly what she was doing and was amazing at her job. And Angelica, she’s like the care coach Mom. The sweetest and kindest person you’ll meet. Always bringing new fidgets in or doing people’s laundry. She runs the best school times! Chase bronfman also needs to make appearances more. Even though everyone’s treatment is different and requires different things, from what I’ve seen, BCW can help you with basically any of your needs. But overall, Im in PHP now and I wanna thank BCW for all they have done. I’m not nearly done w my journey but I’m so grateful for everything they’ve helped me accomplish so far.

I was a Patient there for approximately 9 months. A Wonderful Atmosphere and you’re surrounded by ppl who Really Care. Especially the Counselors, My Counselor in Particular. Her Name was Jenn. A Wonderful Person and an Absolute Dear young Lady. She was Extremely informative and Knows just how to make you feel Comfortable and Cared For. I was going through a Rough patch, but looked Forward to my meetings with her every week and Every time I left her office, I ALWAYS FELT BETTER AND FELT LIKE SOMEONE CARED.. I can Honestly Say, Meeting Jenn was a Highlight of my Time there. I only left there because I found a place Much Closer to my home out East. But my Counselor there will always be close to my heart. And I Thank Her Dearly. All in all, a Wonderful Place to Get Clean and Stay Clean 👍🏻😁

‘Hurt People , Hurt People’. I needed a free therapist and was able to have 5 intake sessions with a pleasant young woman. I benefited from these sessions as it is always rewarding when we analyze and acknowledge what is going on in our lives. So much was happening for me and I was not able to attend all the assigned sessions. Management was not able to communicate in a responsible or mature manner; I wonder maybe they too are prior clients who have graduated but do not have a total grip on their situation and sometimes need help themselves. My very pleasant intake person became insensitive, cold, ‘passive aggressive’ and quite non communicative. I lead the conversation and realized that I was being ‘expelled’. I really don’t know the reason as I do believe she has her own issues and the Leadership is not of a strong foundation with knowledge of servicing a diverse clientele. Such a shame because this has the potential to be a top notch program in a great community. I only wish I was able to find an experienced, strong, qualified leadership that is familiar with diversity and respect. I was feeling hurt as this was the second time I had to deal with leadership’s lack of sensitivity. It should not be just a JOB when people come to you for help. Fix the structure of this place.

I am currently attending school to become an addiction counselor, and I couldn’t help but think about my out patient counselor from so many years ago :) This process was by far not easy, but I just had to come here and give high praise to my counselor Jim. I don’t know if he is still there but he was amazing and saved my life. He was kind and patient and relatable… the three things we all really need when getting ourselves and our lives back together during a difficult time. I have had a great experience with the VA staff in general. Scheduling has never been a problem and they send me plenty of reminders. Everyone I've interacted with seems to take their job seriously, and really cares. I'm writing this review primarily because of a specific recent experience: At my appointment I had blood drawn and a flu shot. When I was scheduling my next appointment in the lobby, I started to feel extremely dizzy and lightheaded. I'm stubborn, and I was in the infantry, so I tried to tough it out. I figured if I could just finish my scheduling I could just go pass out in my car in private. One of the staff members noticed and immediately took me to the back of the clinic. They took my vitals, gave me water, and sat me down. All of the staff were caring and showed compassion the entire time. I felt bad for inconveniencing everyone but they would not accept any of my apologies. I'm very grateful for the way I was treated. I was very embarrassed but was given dignified, understanding treatment that anyone in a similar situation would be fortunate to receive.
