There have been staff at this school that are horrible, but there are many staff there that are amazing and really care about these kids. I've seen first hand the strength and compassion that has been exhibited. Don't judge the whole school, by the actions of a minority.
At Recovery Village in Umatilla, Florida all my needs were met by the staff and my peers. I didn’t have expectations when I arrived here, so leaving with a solid treatment plan, all of my appointments made by Chris my case manager, and I completed all my assignments from my therapist. I have the shout out for my therapist, Barb, Kelly, who works in the kitchen, some BHT’s named Shannon, Candy, Sherrie, Roz, Dorian, Ron, Mary, and I’m sure there’s many more but I’m being rushed to finish the survey Lol. I’m going home right now feeling amazing and I’m ready to go to meetings work with a sponsor, etc. I thoroughly have been taught about the AA program. Things. Had a great experience! This place saved my life. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. A bunch of the staff is in recovery. That is an awesome thing to be with all the people in the same boat as me.

I was super nervous goin in but honestly this place helped more then I thought it would. the people who work here are mostly chill and really seem like they care, they don’t talk down to you or anything. i didn’t feel judged which matters a lot. only thing is the outside crowd can be sus so i’d say just head in and out, don’t stick around. it doesn’t feel all strict like a hospital or jail so that helped me stick with it. not perfect but it’s real and its helping me stay clean. would def recommend if you need a place to start

I completed this program thanks to the nursing staff, Counselor Amber, Counselor Eliana, BHT Greg, and all the other dedicated hard workers here. The cleaning staff stole my sweatpants and T- shirt, that I was not too happy about. I enjoyed this program and it had a lot to offer.

This place is good. Shout out Josiah the head chef he makes really good food. Breakfast is good everything is. The therapist are good. This place really teaches more about science, the right side and left side of the brain. All the staff treated me well.

Group sessions are very helpful and I have learned several new techniques. The one-on-one sessions have not been as useful as I don't have things I really need to work on outside of group. Overall, I have had a very positive experience and really like the flexibility.

The IOP program here is amazing, would highly recommend it to anyone continuing on in their recovery journey. Lyma is an awesome therapist, in the group setting and in one on one sessions. Amy is a really helpful case manager and will answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction of resources to help you.
The men’s sober living on Concord Street is a really nice, supportive environment that’s conveniently located a two minute walk away from daily AA meetings. The house is run by Patrick and Glenda and they make sure you are well taken care of, make you aware of any and all resources available to help you get back on your feet, and really care about your success in your recovery.
I want to thank the staff at the Michigan ave mens facility for all the help and care you gave my son Billy. He seems changed thank you Miss Cristina, Larry, Laz, and Sunday. You are all very special people thank you again William Moore

I had no idea what to expect going in here. This was my first time getting help for drugs and I was really nervous going in. I was even more anxious because the place is faith based,which was new to me. But the staff was nice and didn’t treat me like a screw up and the structure helped me feel normal. The food was better than I thought itd be and they had a decent gym. The whole program was pretty strict, but I get why and it helped me get more stable then I’ve been in a longtime.

I was a student at TC Orlando for 1 year and
5 days. During one of my first weeks in the program a lady at the car wash was kind enough to ask how we were doing that day and encouraged us by saying "remember there's no perfect program" and she was right. There's plusses and minuses to every aspect in life.
I am not here to discuss what I thought was wrong with or right about TCO. I will say that many of the negative things I read in other Google reviews have been rectified and are no longer relevant. My aim in writing this review is that you will enter TCO eyes wide open and not be upset or surprised at what you do/don't find and will encounter God, graduate and maintain sobriety afterwards.
Let me tell you what Teen Challenge Orlando has to offer
Professional Services-
If you require doctors visits or dental work, TCO offers transportation to and from appointments.
Mentors provide regular opportunities for
students to open up and talk about personal
struggles.
Amenities
Kitchen/Cafeteria- Top of the line as far as rehabs go.
All the coffee you can drink during breakfast but don't over do it.
Meals are protein heavy, diverse and have a good amount of vegetables, essential for the brain's recovery on a chemical level.
Stear clear of the sodas and limit your dessert intake or you'll get what's known as the TC 30 in your first 30 days. If not more...
Dorms- Always cold but just in the way that you want.
Mattresses- Par for the course. However, bring a $10 foam topper and you'll sleep like a baby, guaranteed.
Closets- Each student gets half plus ample shelving space.
There is a shed outback for shoes so the rooms don't stink and floors stay clean, 5
pair limit.
Bathrooms- They are super clean and you'll never run out of hot water; plenty of sinks and showers. Usually no wait time for your morning shave. Remeber to be a gentleman and clean up after yourself. Your Mrs. or future Mrs. will appreciate this later.
Laundry- They will have a couple of designated students assigned to laundry duty and your clothes will be washed and folded on a weekly basis.
Gym- Outdoor, covered weight area with elliptical, free weights, multi-use lift machine, mat for stretching and a HUGE tire to flip around campus and compete with others for bragging rights!
A half court for basketball and sandpit volleyball area.
Sorry, no in-ground pool. This is rehab, not
a resort.

TCO has a massive thrift store.
If you're lacking anything outside toiletries and socks/underwear all you have to do is fill out a slip and an intern or mentor will have you hooked up and "drippin" in a day or so.
Library- Several hundred books ranging from addiction recovery strories to deep subjects of the Bible and personal growth. I read over 60 books during my time spent at TCO. The best part was a series of biographies about Christian heros of the faith. I read all of them. My one take away was this- Not a single one lived a boring, unfulfilled life once they fully surrendered It over to God and chose to walk in faith and obedience. The same can and WILL happen for you if you make that choice.
Work Detail
Monday 12-5, Tue, Thur, Fri, 9-5; Wed 9-4:30, Sat. 8-5
Usually done a little early to make it back for dinner.
"What?! This sounds like a labor camp, not a rehab!!!"
Well all your needs are provided for and "regular" people work 40 hrs a week. Think of it as a 12 months of retraining for when you get back out into the real world.
You get to build up your work ethic without the pitfalls of spending a paycheck on drugs or alcohol.
Furthermore Teen Challenge has over 1400 locations in 125 countries. Not all are financially self supporting. So the efforts put in here ensures that others receive help elsewhere. If you look at it from this perspective your outlook will be a lot more positive.

i came here back in beginning of august, it was my very first time being bakeracted so i didn’t really know what to expect but i was a bit scared. i ended up really liking this hospital for my first time, i felt pretty safe. they don’t force you to do any activities if you don’t want to although it helps them check for progress for yourself. if you wanted to rest in or nap at any time you could as well, which is what i also liked about it. i just feel like anyone struggling with mental health, shouldn’t have to be forced to do stuff if they’re not feeling it, but slowly getting into it when they’re ready. this place overall was very good to me and i appreciate them for everything

This is by far the absolute best clinic I've ever been to and the staff here are on point and always very pleasant and friendly and just make sure you are taken care of and I leave the clinic with a smile on my face every single morning. I had an overall excellent experience at Aspire. The mental health counciling was great and the IOP that I was part of really taught me a lot!
I just want to say Thabk you to all the staff here, I went there very sick, very confused, and feeling totally defeated they all worked to get me to the right place, and even with my complaining, and my not being able to breathe crap everyone was totally awesome, not many people tells you guys when you have did an amazing job only when they feel like you haven’t, I just wanted to take the time out and say Thank you I appreciate all you do!!

Referred through Truehealth for adult outpatient therapy. Quiet and clean environment. Intake process is respectful, thorough, and informative. Telehealth services are offered. Fantastic sliding fee scale and low-income/underinsured resources/services offered. Lots of options for people looking to manage complex trauma.
The medication clinic has some wildly rude staff but also very helpful staff, which helps offset the rudeness. The physician Anne Roy is great. No telehealth, which is inconvenient for anyone with transportation restrictions. Not easy to reach front desk and have to go in person for authorizations and any updates.

Hands-down, the best experience I’ve had ever with a dermatology office. The front desk staff was amazing over the phone and in person. Lia and Mia were professional, patient, friendly, and helpful. Whoever answers your phone and is the first person you see in an office makes a difference. Unfortunately, the majority of doctors offices today don’t have the kind of staff that this place has. Marissa in the back was very patient and thorough. I barely waited 2 minutes which was fantastic. Stella was a great nurse practitioner, patient with all my questions and did my body check with dignity with proper eyewear and lighting (that has never happened at my prior derms office). She provided a lot of helpful suggestions and a prescription for future use for a concern I have. She also cared about my medical history and ensuring my safety and skin health. If I needed to suggest what green flags to look for in a medical practice it would be everything this place is. The facility is also clean and kept up with. I can’t say anything negative at all! I’ve been so happy with my initial appointment and shared their information with other people. Thank you for a great first appointment and for being so much better than what’s out there. I was dreading this due to other practices I’ve been to but you exceeded my expectations thank you to your amazing team!

2023 is gone! And now I can go into 2024 with a new attitude and a new life mostly thankful for Perspectives 2. I made some dumb decisions last year that I ended up paying the price for. I consider myself smart and well educated but when alcohol does your thinking its a games changer. I ended up in jail with a DUI and court ordered treatment. The blessing in disguise was the court ordered treatement. I went 12 weeks to group thearpy at Perspectives. I was reluctant and not excited about going until I got there. All of us were in the same boat....nervous, shamed, scared about facing the consequences of our poor decisions. Perspectives group sessions were awesome and extremely helpful. They gave you practical suggestions to help with your addictions and how to deal with the pain you caused others and yourself. The staff that ran these sessions were incredible mainly because they truly cared! It was not a job to them but they had compassion for what your were going through in fact most of them faced similiar situations. I "had" to go to these treatments but would easily have volunterred to go after seeing what they had to offer. Great discussions with a staff that emplified compassion to every one in the class. When you know you messed up and are already down on yourself it is comforting to know folks at Perspectives 2 was there to listen, suggest and most of all show they really cared about your well being and getting you on the right track. They continue to follow up with me a year later! Jamie is awesome in her care and concern....Kudos to her and her staff. Thank you Perspectives 2 for showing honest concern and compassion!

This place is wonderful, they were treating pregnant woman back 2015 when myself an others felt we had no hope, NO ONE would touch us. They live & breathe recovery. They're local to the area, An yes a smaller office but don't lack in the resources to help you and the actual drive to do so! An if Dr.Logan doesn't have a book out by now...he should consider doing so! He's one of the most knowledgeable in the state regarding M.A.T-Outpatient Treatment.
They accept most insurances (yes, including Medicaid) So don't wait till tmro (again) like I did. Call them!

I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. While i will always love and miss my wife, Pamela has helped me to start to live my life again. My journey of grief will be with me for the rest of my life, I do have a life and owe it to myself and those i care about to live it.

This place was very nice. They started me on my way to sobriety. And now I'm sober. Thank you Aspire 🙏 I literally haven't had a drink in 3 years. I was a hot mess and now I'm back to my old self thank you so much.
I didn’t go through residential, but I want to say this clearly: if someone needs that level of care, or PHP, or IOP it is worth it. What I found at La Amistad is powerful enough that I would recommend the entire continuum without hesitation. When I first walked into IOP, I was carrying more than anyone could see. I had just lost my dad a wound that cut into every part of my identity. Grief wasn’t just sadness; it was confusion, loneliness, and feeling like the ground had disappeared under me. I didn’t know where to put those emotions. I didn’t know how to make sense of the memories, the guilt, or the silence that grief brings. Then I met Violeta, my therapist in IOP. She didn’t just help me understand my pain she helped me understand myself. She gave me the space and the tools to face what I had been avoiding for years. She helped me see where my survival patterns came from and how to replace them with healthier ones. That alone cracked something open in me. When I transitioned into the alumni group, everything changed again. I met Alyssa and Corey, and for the first time in a long time, I felt something I didn’t even realize I was missing: community. Real people who understood struggle. Real people who didn’t judge. Real people who showed up. The alumni group became the place where I learned to speak without filtering myself. Where I stopped pretending I was “fine.” Where I realized I wasn’t alone, and I didn’t have to carry everything by myself anymore. It helped me grieve with support instead of isolation. It helped me rebuild self-worth instead of self-blame. It helped me create a new identity rooted in healing, not in trauma. This community became my anchor. It gave me structure, purpose, accountability, and people who genuinely care. It helped me regain confidence, discipline, and the belief that I’m allowed to grow past what I’ve survived. Losing my dad broke me open, but being here helped me rebuild.
And not as the old version of myself trying to “be strong,” but as someone who is finally grounded, supported, and choosing healing every day.
I’m grateful for the therapists who guided me, the peers who walked alongside me, and the space that allowed me to feel safe enough to change. This experience didn’t just help me survive it gave me back the life I thought I had lost. Forever grateful.

Sadly I had to leave CFTC because of insurance but if you live in Orange County they have a program to Help. But good staff there especially Emma, and my old counselor Leon and mrs Carolyn many more staff members... If your serous about your Recovery Central Florida Teatment Center is the place to go and I'm not just blowing smoke up your butt, I'm serous about that clinic to help your journey on Recovery and your going to Luv the staff....✌️

I started coming here about a year ago. At that time, I was lost for the first time in my life and didn’t know what to expect. From day one, the staff here showed me what real care looks like.
Before finding this place, I went to another location just until I could see the doctor here, and the difference was night and day. That first clinic was everything you’d expect in a bad way — chaotic, impersonal, and focused on money over people. Here, it’s the complete opposite. This team truly cares about their patients and runs a tight ship. That credit goes to Mike, the director. On my very first day, he checked me, and I respected him instantly for standing up for his work family. He doesn’t let anyone disrespect them, and that leadership shows.
Sharka at the front desk is incredible. She deals with some very strong personalities every single day, but still manages to greet everyone with kindness and make you feel welcome. I honestly don’t know how she does it, but I salute her for it.
Leon was my counselor, and he’s as genuine as they come. I ask a lot of him, but he’s always there for me. I travel often for work, and he always makes sure my guest dosing is handled properly.
Emma was the person who first helped me join, and she continues to help me in so many ways. She’s also amazing and always willing to go the extra mile.
And the nurses — they’re the best. They make sure you leave with a smile when you can, and they understand when you can’t. Please respect them and the work they do, because this is not an easy job.
Outstanding clinic. I thank God everyday for the treatment and service I receive at this VA Clinic. I also get treatment at the Lake Nona clinic and they are outstanding as well. As a veteran I feel respected and honored to have these facilities for my medical needs.

This place has saved my life. As an addict they have taught me how to avoid relapse and how to deal with stress and life situations that caused my addiction to begin. The staff is great and gives one on one attention to meet the clients needs. Brother Floyd Jones, Matt Staten, are basically on campus 24 hrs a day and readily available to help as needed. The after care provided when finishing the program over seen by brother Mike Moody helped with my exit back into society. Pastor Tim has been a great role model in my sobriety and taught me how to walk out my recovery in the path of God. All in all I consider this place my home and a great place not only to get my life together but how to become a man of God and live my life with integrity.

They really listen to what you’re saying. Dr. Ruiz is really great at this. I have been going to him for a long time and would really hate to have to change doctors.
A kind man came in to sell us some baked goods at our shop here in Ocala. As soon as he said cheesecake, he got our attention! We bought the Nutella and the raspberry cheesecakes and they were delicious! We also love the work that is being done for those who need the extra help. Keep doing what you’re doing guys.

I bought a raspberry cheesecake and chit chatted about living in FL with him, he was very friendly and the cheesecake was great for a good price. I believe his name was Robert. I bought a Reese pound cake and plain cheesecake from a guy that came to my store today in Donalsonville, ga. And told me exactly what facility it was for. I didn’t even know a place like this existed but I’m glad it does. It’s gives them something to do with their time and be able to go out and sell what they make. I was glad to be able to help support them.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the care and compassion shown by the staff at the Center for Discovery in Maitland, Florida. From the very beginning, they treated my daughter as if she were their own, walking alongside her through every stage of her recovery journey. Tristin and Kathleen, in particular, went above and beyond, providing not just expert care but genuine empathy, making my daughter feel understood and supported in every step.
The admissions department also deserves special recognition for their dedication in ensuring my daughter received the help she desperately needed. Their commitment didn’t stop at intake—they continue to check on her progress, even after treatment, showing that their care extends far beyond the walls of the facility.
As an overly involved parent, I needed constant communication, and the team was always on top of it. Whether it was updates, reassurance, or addressing concerns, I always felt informed and involved in my daughter's recovery. Like any treatment facility, they aren’t perfect, but the heart and commitment they have toward their clients and their families is unmatched. I knew then—and I still know now—that my daughter was, and is, in the hands of truly amazing individuals. If she ever needs help again, I have full confidence that she’ll receive the same exceptional level of care.

I've been at Center for Discovery in Maitland since I left residential at Monteverde and it has been a wonderful experience overall.
