There have been staff at this school that are horrible, but there are many staff there that are amazing and really care about these kids. I've seen first hand the strength and compassion that has been exhibited. Don't judge the whole school, by the actions of a minority.

I had a very pleasant experience at TRV. Aside from being told things on the phone before admission the whole program was excellent. Most of the therapists are knowledgeable & understanding. The rooms were as expected, & the roommate situation was more than I could have asked for. I guess I got lucky bc others didn’t have the same to say. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired, especially in the bathroom, but since we keep up after ourselves it was tolerable. The food is great & options are given upon request if the menu isn’t to your liking. I made lifelong friendships and look forward to the IOP sessions upon my release. I learned so much about myself & through the family sessions my family understands me better. I could go on and on… 3/18/2024 Revision I don’t want to change anything I said before, just add to it. The fam sessions end when u leave, like it didn’t matter to TRV in the first place. The communication between staff/directors to patients is lacking in efficiency, guidance, & meticulousness. They have very scripted answers to FAQs that don’t always apply to specific situations. They act like they’re helping u to ur face but once u walk away they stop what they were doing & move on to the next shiny thing, leaving ur case incomplete. Upon discharge I was told things I shouldn’t have been told and NOT told things I needed to know. All weren’t important until it was too late to be rectified bc I had already left. My RXs had been filled & picked up, leaving me unable to fill them at my preferred pharmacy bc the insurance company said it was too soon to refill. I spent the first 3 hours on my 1st day home on the phone with & between 2 pharmacies and my insurance company. They set a cpl appts for me but then failed to tell me where to go & when. The app they told me to download has to have a credit/debit card on file before u can go any further to attend any video appts. My family called for days (with ROIs) & were sent to vm over & over, never spoke with a human, or left messages that I never received. People I was there with had paperwork that needed done (FMLA, SSI, Disability, lost driver’s license, etc) & it was neglected atrociously without remorse/apology, just excuses. If u plan on going to sober living, have a plan. They will let u discharge with no where to go no matter how long they made u stay for a “completion.” The AA/NA groups are great but only NA has frequent speakers so I had to choose to go to NA instead of AA to get the inspirational message speakers give. Although, Alyssa’s Bigbook study guide class is very good, and I have continued everyday, I did have to miss some of them bc I wanted to hear the speakers in NA. The other groups are great at making the point over & over so if u missed something the first few times, it’s ok bc u will be exposed to it a few more times. The info is useful & applicable to real life situations. U will not speak to a therapist more than once a week, the horses are only available to those that are IOP, church attendance & family visits are only offered to those in PHP, & the pool is not heated (“broken”). These are all things I discovered after I was admitted, & told otherwise on the phone. The techs are FANTASTIC!!! They’re helpful, kind, patient, & willing to do anything for their patients. but evidently have favorites. Luckily, I learned early on who those are & chose to go to the others that don’t seem to favor one patient over another. They do nothing when things are stolen, which only frustrated me more. Someone stole my fav hoodie out of the dryer, 2 coffee cups in 2 days, & had my bag gone into only to find my coloring pencils & 2 pens gone. Other people there experienced the same thievery & nothing was done abt it. They have cameras but I was told it takes too long to look back on the footage. If anything, I thought they would be interested in, at the very least, Identifying thief(s). Anyway, I’m still so grateful for my experience at TRV, & want to say thank u to all those that work there for the right reasons, u know who u are!

I went from new seasons to this clinic, I was at 40 mg from new seasons- I was over sedated at 40 mg so they brought me down to 35 than to 30 and I was still over sedated at 30. So new seasons brought me down to 20mg. I was good at 20mg- I wanted to taper down though. I tapered down at 1mg a day. I was on methadone for a month and a week or two. I was going to dose for the last time- this memorial weekend that past we're my last 3 doses for 3mg,2mg and 1mg. I didn't know that I could get prescribed comfort meds by Jim or I would of done it before the weekend because it was a long weekend. I went into the clinic and cried to Christina than told her I was struggling. She got me prescribed comfort meds that day and so did jim. I got most of the comfort meds filled except one because the pharmacy wanted to speak with Jim first. I went into the office the next day to tell jim and he handled it right away. I went into dosing voluntarily but I was admitted to do IOP. IOP, counseling and the dosing has helped me so much- the dosing is more affordable at aspire as well. The comfort meds have really helped me- if you work the program it'll work. I got good sleep through the night and definitely feel better.

If you can endure the lengthy intake process, everything else is quick and efficient. All the staff, from the front desk to providers were on point, and informative. Yes there are some delays from time to time just from over crowding or should I say a lot of clients all at once. Worth a shot if your trying to change your life and get clean. I can not say enough about this out patient program. Janiya and Minor helped save myself from drunken despair and I am back to my normal sober self. I learned the skills needed to protect my sobriety for the rest of my life. It is hard work and you have to do the homework and put the effort in but it is well worth it. I completed this program thanks to the nursing staff, Counselor Amber, Counselor Eliana, BHT Greg, and all the other dedicated hard workers here. The cleaning staff stole my sweatpants and T- shirt, that I was not too happy about. I enjoyed this program and it had a lot to offer.

The IOP program here is amazing, would highly recommend it to anyone continuing on in their recovery journey. Lyma is an awesome therapist, in the group setting and in one on one sessions. Amy is a really helpful case manager and will answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction of resources to help you. The men’s sober living on Concord Street is a really nice, supportive environment that’s conveniently located a two minute walk away from daily AA meetings. The house is run by Patrick and Glenda and they make sure you are well taken care of, make you aware of any and all resources available to help you get back on your feet, and really care about your success in your recovery.

I had no idea what to expect going in here. This was my first time getting help for drugs and I was really nervous going in. I was even more anxious because the place is faith based,which was new to me. But the staff was nice and didn’t treat me like a screw up and the structure helped me feel normal. The food was better than I thought itd be and they had a decent gym. The whole program was pretty strict, but I get why and it helped me get more stable then I’ve been in a longtime.

I was a student at TC Orlando for 1 year and 5 days. During one of my first weeks in the program a lady at the car wash was kind enough to ask how we were doing that day and encouraged us by saying "remember there's no perfect program" and she was right. There's plusses and minuses to every aspect in life. I am not here to discuss what I thought was wrong with or right about TCO. I will say that many of the negative things I read in other Google reviews have been rectified and are no longer relevant. My aim in writing this review is that you will enter TCO eyes wide open and not be upset or surprised at what you do/don't find and will encounter God, graduate and maintain sobriety afterwards. Let me tell you what Teen Challenge Orlando has to offer Professional Services- If you require doctors visits or dental work, TCO offers transportation to and from appointments. Mentors provide regular opportunities for students to open up and talk about personal struggles. Amenities Kitchen/Cafeteria- Top of the line as far as rehabs go. All the coffee you can drink during breakfast but don't over do it. Meals are protein heavy, diverse and have a good amount of vegetables, essential for the brain's recovery on a chemical level. Stear clear of the sodas and limit your dessert intake or you'll get what's known as the TC 30 in your first 30 days. If not more... Dorms- Always cold but just in the way that you want. Mattresses- Par for the course. However, bring a $10 foam topper and you'll sleep like a baby, guaranteed. Closets- Each student gets half plus ample shelving space. There is a shed outback for shoes so the rooms don't stink and floors stay clean, 5 pair limit. Bathrooms- They are super clean and you'll never run out of hot water; plenty of sinks and showers. Usually no wait time for your morning shave. Remeber to be a gentleman and clean up after yourself. Your Mrs. or future Mrs. will appreciate this later. Laundry- They will have a couple of designated students assigned to laundry duty and your clothes will be washed and folded on a weekly basis. Gym- Outdoor, covered weight area with elliptical, free weights, multi-use lift machine, mat for stretching and a HUGE tire to flip around campus and compete with others for bragging rights! A half court for basketball and sandpit volleyball area. Sorry, no in-ground pool. This is rehab, not a resort. Need something? TCO has a massive thrift store. If you're lacking anything outside toiletries and socks/underwear all you have to do is fill out a slip and an intern or mentor will have you hooked up and "drippin" in a day or so. Library- Several hundred books ranging from addiction recovery strories to deep subjects of the Bible and personal growth. I read over 60 books during my time spent at TCO. The best part was a series of biographies about Christian heros of the faith. I read all of them. My one take away was this- Not a single one lived a boring, unfulfilled life once they fully surrendered It over to God and chose to walk in faith and obedience. The same can and WILL happen for you if you make that choice. Work Detail Monday 12-5, Tue, Thur, Fri, 9-5; Wed 9-4:30, Sat. 8-5 Usually done a little early to make it back for dinner. "What?! This sounds like a labor camp, not a rehab!!!" Well all your needs are provided for and "regular" people work 40 hrs a week. Think of it as a 12 months of retraining for when you get back out into the real world. You get to build up your work ethic without the pitfalls of spending a paycheck on drugs or alcohol. Furthermore Teen Challenge has over 1400 locations in 125 countries. Not all are financially self supporting. So the efforts put in here ensures that others receive help elsewhere. If you look at it from this perspective your outlook will be a lot more positive. Please see attached photos for complete review. Note- Reading in order 3, 2, 5, 4, 1

i came here back in beginning of august, it was my very first time being bakeracted so i didn’t really know what to expect but i was a bit scared. i ended up really liking this hospital for my first time, i felt pretty safe. they don’t force you to do any activities if you don’t want to although it helps them check for progress for yourself. if you wanted to rest in or nap at any time you could as well, which is what i also liked about it. i just feel like anyone struggling with mental health, shouldn’t have to be forced to do stuff if they’re not feeling it, but slowly getting into it when they’re ready. this place overall was very good to me and i appreciate them for everything

Hands-down, the best experience I’ve had ever with a dermatology office. The front desk staff was amazing over the phone and in person. Lia and Mia were professional, patient, friendly, and helpful. Whoever answers your phone and is the first person you see in an office makes a difference. Unfortunately, the majority of doctors offices today don’t have the kind of staff that this place has. Marissa in the back was very patient and thorough. I barely waited 2 minutes which was fantastic. Stella was a great nurse practitioner, patient with all my questions and did my body check with dignity with proper eyewear and lighting (that has never happened at my prior derms office). She provided a lot of helpful suggestions and a prescription for future use for a concern I have. She also cared about my medical history and ensuring my safety and skin health. If I needed to suggest what green flags to look for in a medical practice it would be everything this place is. The facility is also clean and kept up with. I can’t say anything negative at all! I’ve been so happy with my initial appointment and shared their information with other people. Thank you for a great first appointment and for being so much better than what’s out there. I was dreading this due to other practices I’ve been to but you exceeded my expectations thank you to your amazing team!

2023 is gone! And now I can go into 2024 with a new attitude and a new life mostly thankful for Perspectives 2. I made some dumb decisions last year that I ended up paying the price for. I consider myself smart and well educated but when alcohol does your thinking its a games changer. I ended up in jail with a DUI and court ordered treatment. The blessing in disguise was the court ordered treatement. I went 12 weeks to group thearpy at Perspectives. I was reluctant and not excited about going until I got there. All of us were in the same boat....nervous, shamed, scared about facing the consequences of our poor decisions. Perspectives group sessions were awesome and extremely helpful. They gave you practical suggestions to help with your addictions and how to deal with the pain you caused others and yourself. The staff that ran these sessions were incredible mainly because they truly cared! It was not a job to them but they had compassion for what your were going through in fact most of them faced similiar situations. I "had" to go to these treatments but would easily have volunterred to go after seeing what they had to offer. Great discussions with a staff that emplified compassion to every one in the class. When you know you messed up and are already down on yourself it is comforting to know folks at Perspectives 2 was there to listen, suggest and most of all show they really cared about your well being and getting you on the right track. They continue to follow up with me a year later! Jamie is awesome in her care and concern....Kudos to her and her staff. Thank you Perspectives 2 for showing honest concern and compassion!

This place is wonderful, they were treating pregnant woman back 2015 when myself an others felt we had no hope, NO ONE would touch us. They live & breathe recovery. They're local to the area, An yes a smaller office but don't lack in the resources to help you and the actual drive to do so! An if Dr.Logan doesn't have a book out by now...he should consider doing so! He's one of the most knowledgeable in the state regarding M.A.T-Outpatient Treatment. They accept most insurances (yes, including Medicaid) So don't wait till tmro (again) like I did. Call them!

I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. I didn’t go through residential, but I want to say this clearly: if someone needs that level of care, or PHP, or IOP it is worth it. What I found at La Amistad is powerful enough that I would recommend the entire continuum without hesitation. When I first walked into IOP, I was carrying more than anyone could see. I had just lost my dad a wound that cut into every part of my identity. Grief wasn’t just sadness; it was confusion, loneliness, and feeling like the ground had disappeared under me. I didn’t know where to put those emotions. I didn’t know how to make sense of the memories, the guilt, or the silence that grief brings. Then I met Violeta, my therapist in IOP. She didn’t just help me understand my pain she helped me understand myself. She gave me the space and the tools to face what I had been avoiding for years. She helped me see where my survival patterns came from and how to replace them with healthier ones. That alone cracked something open in me. When I transitioned into the alumni group, everything changed again. I met Alyssa and Corey, and for the first time in a long time, I felt something I didn’t even realize I was missing: community. Real people who understood struggle. Real people who didn’t judge. Real people who showed up. The alumni group became the place where I learned to speak without filtering myself. Where I stopped pretending I was “fine.” Where I realized I wasn’t alone, and I didn’t have to carry everything by myself anymore. It helped me grieve with support instead of isolation. It helped me rebuild self-worth instead of self-blame. It helped me create a new identity rooted in healing, not in trauma. This community became my anchor. It gave me structure, purpose, accountability, and people who genuinely care. It helped me regain confidence, discipline, and the belief that I’m allowed to grow past what I’ve survived. Losing my dad broke me open, but being here helped me rebuild. And not as the old version of myself trying to “be strong,” but as someone who is finally grounded, supported, and choosing healing every day. I’m grateful for the therapists who guided me, the peers who walked alongside me, and the space that allowed me to feel safe enough to change. This experience didn’t just help me survive it gave me back the life I thought I had lost. Forever grateful.

UPDATE—— So although I had a hiccup here, after speaking to the Director I honestly feel much better! I now find myself considering that my perception of someone’s attitude doesn’t necessarily mean that’s how they feel towards me. So I’m going to give that person the benefit of the doubt, because we all deserve second chances, and after speaking to the Director , I see that he is willing to talk about any issues that I, as a Patient, am having and strives to ensure that “we” (as Patients) can go to a safe and healthy treatment center where we feel accepted and cared for during our time here. The Counselors here are BOMB! Especially Mauricio and Peaches! Ms Emma is so sweet and from day one has always looked out for me. ALL of The Nurses are always polite and make it a pt to ask about how I and/or my family is doing! Thank you Director, for caring for me during this time and be willing to clear up any issues or misunderstandings that may be had. This place isn’t a generic methadone clinic, they actually care about there Patients!

I first started at a different clinic & can some one please tell me how a clinic with 8 different dosing windows & 8 nurses & it would literally take a min. Of 2 hours of standing in line to check in & then standing in another line to get dosed & my own counselor after 6 months there still couldn't remember my name, but yet I start coming here where there is only 2 windows & often only 1 window open cause there's only 1 nurse (the wonderful Mrs. Carolyn) & on average I am checked in, dosed, & out the door within 15 minutes & not only does the nurse remember my name, but so does my counselor & half the other counselor's there as well. I have never had a problem or issues with anyone here & really appreciate how much everyone here is so supportive & encouraging. Everytime I come in at least one or more employees make sure they tell me how good I look or how proud they are of me for turning my life around & that really means a lot to me & helps keep me motivated to keep doing good & I can honestly say that I would not be here clean, working, & with my kids & family again without this place & the amazingly supportive & caring staff. I really can't say enough great things about everyone there. I truly appreciate you all & can't thank you enough for helping me turn my life around. It feels really good to be clean & not homeless anymore. Again Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This place has saved my life. As an addict they have taught me how to avoid relapse and how to deal with stress and life situations that caused my addiction to begin. The staff is great and gives one on one attention to meet the clients needs. Brother Floyd Jones, Matt Staten, are basically on campus 24 hrs a day and readily available to help as needed. The after care provided when finishing the program over seen by brother Mike Moody helped with my exit back into society. Pastor Tim has been a great role model in my sobriety and taught me how to walk out my recovery in the path of God. All in all I consider this place my home and a great place not only to get my life together but how to become a man of God and live my life with integrity.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the care and compassion shown by the staff at the Center for Discovery in Maitland, Florida. From the very beginning, they treated my daughter as if she were their own, walking alongside her through every stage of her recovery journey. Tristin and Kathleen, in particular, went above and beyond, providing not just expert care but genuine empathy, making my daughter feel understood and supported in every step. The admissions department also deserves special recognition for their dedication in ensuring my daughter received the help she desperately needed. Their commitment didn’t stop at intake—they continue to check on her progress, even after treatment, showing that their care extends far beyond the walls of the facility. As an overly involved parent, I needed constant communication, and the team was always on top of it. Whether it was updates, reassurance, or addressing concerns, I always felt informed and involved in my daughter's recovery. Like any treatment facility, they aren’t perfect, but the heart and commitment they have toward their clients and their families is unmatched. I knew then—and I still know now—that my daughter was, and is, in the hands of truly amazing individuals. I've been at Center for Discovery in Maitland since I left residential at Monteverde and it has been a wonderful experience overall. I've received so much support from all of the therapists, dietitians, diet techs, etc. They take time out of their day to talk to you if you're struggling and the care is really personalized, they take a lot of time getting to know you even if you aren't their primary client. The staff has gone above and beyond to give me and my peers so much support.

As a private practice therapy in the area, I can rest assured that referring clients to CFD Maitland, that they will be taken care of. CFD Maitland’s team is very efficient as far as cultural competency, ethics, and clinical interventions and skills used.

I went in for involuntary detox. Since my experience at Orlando health was so bad, I think this place did a pretty alright job. Their staff is really nice and caring. They seem to try to do what is best for their patients.
