Helping Hands Recovery center is an amazing opportunity to rediscover rebuilt and restore one’s life. My personal experience I began treatment there while pregnant and Donna and Deanna loved on me when I wasn’t able to love myself they are so passionate about recovery and assisting people to learn new ways to be healthy in all aspects of life. They treated me and my now 9 month old son with sincere compassion and kindness. I will always be grateful and thankful for that opportunity of meeting such phenomenal people. That experience will always be in my heart. I love Ms.Donna and I do recommend anyone with the desire to change there life to attend Donna’s Helping Hands program your life will never be the same!

I absolutely love helping hands. I had been back and forth for a few years in my recovery and i was having a really hard time. I was in a bad situation before i had gone back to treatment. I was an absolute mess. I still using in treatment and found myself in a crisis. I needed help I wasn’t getting, and I needed to be accountable. I decided to do something differently, to weigh my options and choose a place I really thought could be beneficial. I saw it was a small all women group, and I just felt called in that direction. They responded really quickly, I told them the truth and they really went out of their way to help. Of course It wasn’t easy, I went to two different residential facilities before I was well enough. And they were there with me every step of the way. When stuff hit the fan at the first residential facility, they got me and found me somewhere safer and more equipped. I felt empowered to try my hardest knowing how caring and supportive they were, and how they were rooting for me. No one had and still to this day has ever shown up for me the way they did. They made me feel safe and encouraged me to communicate along the way. Almost 2 years later they are still in my life and they have never shut their doors on me. The environment they create with their girls is just unmatched. I consider them family. It’s not your revolving door - just for the money treatment you’ll see over and over in south Florida. None of the misconduct horror stories, nothing. All you have to do is want it, even just a smidge, and hope to grow that smidge. And they’ll help you blossom. They have all the resources and tools. Today i have a family life, friends, I can care for animals and myself, and most importantly I’m happy to be alive. I wholeheartedly recommend helping hands. They are a godsend in my life.

I am so grateful to be able to put away any shame - guilt and move forward ! After 2 yrs of sobriety - I had a relapse- I was ashamed- embarrassed- but the team at Agape immediately assured me and reminded me that I am worthy . I need to reset myself (rewired ) - there were still some underlining issues that I hadn’t dealt with or wanted too - it was the best decision to make even though I only wanted to be there for a certain time - I was able to do the timeframe that would benefit my overall mental health and continue to IOP- I appreciate the love and individual attention the team and staff give you ! They treat the whole person in as in dual diagnosis. They also have aftercare plan and transitional housing. Transitional housing even after IOP is still under Satori. My loved one was treated here starting 1-3-2016. After other centers across time, along with short lived unsuccessful replacement Rx. After treatment at Satori Waters, he's had the most successful recovery over a 14 year span. I believe the center may have changed hands in 2018. If so then a review of more recent care may reveal changes.

I am truly grateful to ray rapaglia and the James club. I was in a dreadful cycle of homelessness and incarceration. I had very little family support as my mother has Alzheimer’s and is in a home…. On my third visit to broward county jail I was facing 6 years… I had no money or friends to help me pay for a deposit at a halfway house and I called ray after he came and spoke at the substance abuse program in jail… I didn’t expect much but I had a court date coming up. Ray spoke at the hearing and to my surprise he said he had a bed opening in a few days… he helped me with a BSO reentry scholarship and within a week i was out and I had a job doing exterior maintenance with my roommate at the James club who was kind enough to offer me work… i was able to save money, attend aa meetings and eventually become a part of my mothers life again… visiting her a few times a week and being there for her… I have made a new family at James club… I have been to a few other hallways in broward and have been active in AA so I have visited many more and none of them has the structure and leadership and comraderie of the James club… if you haven’t had the pleasure ray is an amazing speaker, has an amazing message and backstory and truly lives out the principles he lays out.. he fills a niche and purpose that most other halfways do not… he truly reaches a hand out to the most down and out and lifts them up….

Exceptional place. My life was in shambles and the people and experiences at the James Club established by Ray Rapaglia built a foundation with which I have been able to prosper. I have so much to be thankful for this company and this process! I was one of those convinced that I didn’t need treatment, that I could do this all on my own. But I’d tried it my way too many times without success. Finally reaching out for help has been one of the best decisions of my life. The staff here are amazing! From the therapists, the BHT’s, case workers, everyone. And especially the LIV program. All of the activities like snorkeling, paddle boarding, and rock climbing to name a few really helped me to remember the person I used to be. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for help, can’t say enough good things about it.

Having experienced both the Fort Lauderdale and Deerfield facilities, I appreciate the differences between the two residential campuses. Fort Lauderdale provided the necessary support when my acuity was at its highest, but Deerfield has given me the independence and responsibility I needed so I can start preparing for life outside of treatment. My therapist, Dr. Despina, has a huge heart filled with love and has not only taught me skills, but she holds me accountable and challenges me to use them. She has helped me build a life worth living. Dr. Hume, my family therapist, is really good. She has helped me work on my boundaries and have a healthy relationship with my family. Dani, the Alumni Relations Manager, has been incredible. The love, selflessness and the genuine care and compassion she shows us means a lot. She goes above and beyond when running groups, she's always prepared, and it's clear she wants the best for us and wants us to have a life worth living. She goes out of her way to help us feel special, through birthday cards (and cakes) and remembering small things about us. She really cares and this goes such a long way. I am very thankful for the staff and the care at the Deerfield campus during my stabilization stay!

LifeSkills was there for our family during a difficult time. The Deerfield Beach location provided excellent care, and we were especially grateful for Tomas and Gina’s compassion and support. Dani has been truly incredible. The alumni program and ongoing support groups she leads are among the most valuable parts of LifeSkills. Her dedication does not end when treatment does. Honesty, I wanted to go to a place that would help me. Florida House Experience ended up being that place. I spent 50 days during a nation wide lockdown, a.k.a. COVID TIMES, and came away healthier than I have ever been, mentally and spiritually. They patched me up with good clean food, soft serve ice cream, coping skills, mental health tools, and a forever family through their alumni programs. Thank you FHE, I am here today with your help, because the night before EMTs were picking me up out of a gutter and the ER threw me out after a cup of water. I never saw that attitude while I was at Florida House Experience. Are there rules? Yes, but they are there for safety and part of the plan to bring you to a better state of health, physically, mentally and spiritually.

This is by far the best place in the US for struggling first responders! Everybody has there own recipe for getting through life events and struggles and its certainly not a one size fits all process. FHE Shatterproof offers literally a buffet of resources for you to explore and determain what helps you specifically! Your not ever forced into any specific modality of proffesional service and get to build your own custom plan to gain peace and happiness back! FHE is the only place I have ever heard of that provides outstanding followup to include a free annual retreat at the beautiful Lake Aurora Christian Camp located in Lake Whales, FL. What an incredible experience at the 2026 FHEHealth Retreat in Lake Aurora, Florida. I can't say enough about the staff who organized and executed the itinerary for the weekend. Reuniting the Alumi and sharing our past and the situations that brought us to such a better life that we all lead today brings out an enormous anount of gratitude. That is the kind of compassion that can reach someone when they are at their lowest and remind them that they are still a person and loved and it gives them a reason to keep going. The individuals who brought her food, a warm blanket, cleaned up after her and then told her it was ok and reminded her she wasn’t alone. We noticed. We noticed the little things. This program, the men and women who work there have helped me not only grow into the person I want to become but have motivated and supported me through it. This recovery center feels more like a family than a business and I love that. If anyone could have the opportunity to start their recovery journey here I highly suggest it.

I’m very grateful for the support I received during my time at Simple Path. The staff were caring, understanding, and genuinely supportive throughout the process as well as remaining in touch after discharge. They made me feel heard and helped me stay focused on my recovery.
