I was in a bad situation before i had gone back to treatment. I was an absolute mess. I still using in treatment and found myself in a crisis. I needed help I wasn’t getting, and I needed to be accountable. I decided to do something differently, to weigh my options and choose a place I really thought could be beneficial. I saw it was a small all women group, and I just felt called in that direction. They responded really quickly, I told them the truth and they really went out of their way to help. Of course It wasn’t easy, I went to two different residential facilities before I was well enough. And they were there with me every step of the way. When stuff hit the fan at the first residential facility, they got me and found me somewhere safer and more equipped. I felt empowered to try my hardest knowing how caring and supportive they were, and how they were rooting for me. No one had and still to this day has ever shown up for me the way they did. They made me feel safe and encouraged me to communicate along the way. Almost 2 years later they are still in my life and they have never shut their doors on me. The environment they create with their girls is just unmatched. I consider them family. It’s not your revolving door - just for the money treatment you’ll see over and over in south Florida. None of the misconduct horror stories, nothing. All you have to do is want it, even just a smidge, and hope to grow that smidge. And they’ll help you blossom. They have all the resources and tools. Today i have a family life, friends, I can care for animals and myself, and most importantly I’m happy to be alive. I wholeheartedly recommend helping hands. They are a godsend in my life. My loved one was treated here starting 1-3-2016. After other centers across time, along with short lived unsuccessful replacement Rx. After treatment at Satori Waters, he's had the most successful recovery over a 14 year span. I believe the center may have changed hands in 2018. If so then a review of more recent care may reveal changes. When I arrived to the island that sings I immediately got involved with there LIV program and suddenly I slowly became motivated to change and made a decision to receive help. The LIV program they offer is what makes this center different and in my opinion better than the rest. We went surfing, kayaking, on nature walks, we watched the sun rise on the beach and mediated every morning, animal petting zoos, rock climbing, played pickle ball and so much more. I’ll never forget the night they took us to see the full moon rise and we saw 3 shooting stars on the beach. I did not realize at the time but this helped me develop a healthy ROUTINE and I still have that routine today. They had music groups, H&I came in every night to bring meetings , the food was great and the staff was absolutely amazing and welcomed me with warm open arms and accepted me.The community and friends I made here became family to me and I still keep in contact with them today, but this was just the start! After I completed the 30 days. I continued treatment at crystal lake healing because it was suggested and I was determined to do anything to change my old ways. The staff here was truly outstanding such as Troy who is the director of the LIV program. The tecs such as Anthony, Henry, Rebecca, Lex, Christina, BRIE, Elexus, Ryan and so many more. The therapist and group coordinators like John Po, Erica, Mary Kate to name a few. Mason the operations coordinator is a great man, he even ordered a guitar for me. The nurses and doctors, they all helped me rewire my brain and develop new healthy patterns. I truly love all of them it’s because of them that I fell back in love with LIFE and no longer want to die. At this point I was fully plugged in with more recovery support then I ever had. When I graduated the program they offered an Alumnni program where we meet every two weeks and have special alumni events for the graduates. This is ran by the amazing TAYLOR who does such a great job. I’ve never seen a treatment place have such a great aftercare program like this. Taylor has taking us night time snorkeling 🤿, volley ball events back at singer island, and on Memorial Day weekend we all went to peanut island for a bbq where one of the owners took us on his boat to get us on the island. We have another fun event coming up and I heard they are planning something special for Halloween! That’s what makes this place different. You don’t see what I just mentioned at other treat ment centers. You won’t get the love, support, and people who really care like them anywhere else in the world. Liz Culpepper 2 weeks ago I can honestly say Transitions is the best recovery center I’ve ever been to. They are definitely not like other rehabs and I’ve been to many different places. What sets them different: there’s no judgement, you actually see your therapist, a psychiatrist, case management, and medical doctor 1-2 times a week, the groups are very beneficial and THEY TRULY CARE!! That’s by far the biggest thing. Staff all go out there way to care for us whether big or small. Housing is beautiful spacious apartments and weekends we do deep cleaning. Everyday there’s an outside meeting and H&I on property everyday but Sunday. Sundays we do outings as a community like the beach, top golf, or bowling. It’s a great way for us to all have fun at the end of the week. Shout out to the staff: Lori-Ann, Austin, Will, Maxime, Michael, Winnie, Summer, Tay Tay, Manny, Art, Dr. K, Jeff, Dr. Seely, Jennifer, and Shelly. Yall make this program worth being apart of. In my experience, I was hesitant, skeptical, and filled with anxiety because of my past experiences with mental health facilities. But AWA is different. It’s such a great clinic, and I’ve learned to love it here. The staff truly care about you and your family, and you’ll come to feel connected with the other clients. Some days you won’t want to go because it’s 20 hours a week and you might be tired, but if you engage and take your treatment seriously, you’ll find that coming every day is worth it. Yes, there is little to no drama, and even when it happens, no one holds a grudge for long because we’re always there for each other. Plus, they won’t leave you in the dark after treatment—they make sure you have a plan afterward. They also let clients be very involved in their treatment plans, and many of the rules can change if the majority of the group agrees. I also love how inclusive AWA is—from race, to gender, to sexuality. The staff will help and counsel you even if you’re crying in group. I know that sounds obvious, but the facility I used to be in didn’t do that. I remember crying in group and one of the facilitators pulled me out to counsel me, and when I was overstimulated, they gave me earplugs to help. At the end of my treatment, I would say AWA definitely helped heal me, and I would recommend it to anyone going through mental health problems it has been truly a blessing. There’s always 2 group rooms to choose from with activation of group facilitators and therapists that run the groups. While here I spent most of my time Scott’s group in the morning. He does a great job of making sure that you are correctly able to identify what got you here in the first place like the fact that being in rehab is not a choice. It is a result of your addiction. Your recovery is the choice you get to make if you put in the work. If you feel that you’ll get more benefit from learning the psychology of things then Dr. B’s group is perfect for you in the other room. And if you want a variety of techniques Jamie is amazing at balance including things such as music therapy, Ted Talks, and recovery speakers in addition to the regular conversations. Is Luminous perfect and issue free? NO. However, it is here to test you and make sure that while you’re under their protective bubble of life you learn to deal with life, cravings, and coping mechanisms the right way. There are many employees who are here for all the right reasons. Some have been through rehab and dealt with addiction themselves and are able to give you insight into what the correct steps to make are without all the fluff like the lead tech Novak who assists in the majority of day to day operations. My case manager Elise goes above and beyond her scope of her job title. While clients speak amongst themselves about issues they may be having, she is brought up as the one who often helps clients that aren’t under her management and picks up slack for other ppl who try to redirect you to someone else for assistance. It’s no wonder that when the new case manager came in they had her shadow her rather than the more senior case manager. Overall I thank Luminous and the entire staff and clients who all contributed to my Successful rehab completion. They have assisted me in my discovery phase and have put me on the path to recovery. I can now claim to be 90 days clean and sober for the first time in over 20 years. Thanks again. I absolutely love helping hands. I had been back and forth for a few years in my recovery and i was having a really hard time. I was in a bad situation before i had gone back to treatment. I was an absolute mess. I still using in treatment and found myself in a crisis. I needed help I wasn’t getting, and I needed to be accountable. I decided to do something differently, to weigh my options and choose a place I really thought could be beneficial. I saw it was a small all women group, and I just felt called in that direction. They responded really quickly, I told them the truth and they really went out of their way to help. Of course It wasn’t easy, I went to two different residential facilities before I was well enough. And they were there with me every step of the way. When stuff hit the fan at the first residential facility, they got me and found me somewhere safer and more equipped. I felt empowered to try my hardest knowing how caring and supportive they were, and how they were rooting for me. No one had and still to this day has ever shown up for me the way they did. They made me feel safe and encouraged me to communicate along the way. Almost 2 years later they are still in my life and they have never shut their doors on me. The environment they create with their girls is just unmatched. I consider them family. It’s not your revolving door - just for the money treatment you’ll see over and over in south Florida. None of the misconduct horror stories, nothing. All you have to do is want it, even just a smidge, and hope to grow that smidge. And they’ll help you blossom. They have all the resources and tools. Today i have a family life, friends, I can care for animals and myself, and most importantly I’m happy to be alive. I wholeheartedly recommend helping hands. They are a godsend in my life.

After 2 yrs of sobriety - I had a relapse- I was ashamed- embarrassed- but the team at Agape immediately assured me and reminded me that I am worthy . James Club Recovery changed my life. Before I came to James Club, I was struggling with addiction, homeless, without a job, and had absolutely no structure in my life. I had lost my connection with God, lost connection with my family, and most importantly, I wasn’t connected with my kids. They treat the whole person in as in dual diagnosis. They also have aftercare plan and transitional housing. Transitional housing even after IOP is still under Satori. My loved one was treated here starting 1-3-2016. After other centers across time, along with short lived unsuccessful replacement Rx. After treatment at Satori Waters, he's had the most successful recovery over a 14 year span. I believe the center may have changed hands in 2018. If so then a review of more recent care may reveal changes.

The amount of love this treatment center showed me truly saved my life. Before I went to there detox and residential program on singer island I truly wanted to die. When I arrived to the island that sings I immediately got involved with there LIV program and suddenly I slowly became motivated to change and made a decision to receive help. The LIV program they offer is what makes this center different and in my opinion better than the rest. We went surfing, kayaking, on nature walks, we watched the sun rise on the beach and mediated every morning, animal petting zoos, rock climbing, played pickle ball and so much more. I’ll never forget the night they took us to see the full moon rise and we saw 3 shooting stars on the beach. I did not realize at the time but this helped me develop a healthy ROUTINE and I still have that routine today. They had music groups, H&I came in every night to bring meetings , the food was great and the staff was absolutely amazing and welcomed me with warm open arms and accepted me.The community and friends I made here became family to me and I still keep in contact with them today, but this was just the start! After I completed the 30 days. I continued treatment at crystal lake healing because it was suggested and I was determined to do anything to change my old ways. The staff here was truly outstanding such as Troy who is the director of the LIV program. The tecs such as Anthony, Henry, Rebecca, Lex, Christina, BRIE, Elexus, Ryan and so many more. The therapist and group coordinators like John Po, Erica, Mary Kate to name a few. Mason the operations coordinator is a great man, he even ordered a guitar for me. The nurses and doctors, they all helped me rewire my brain and develop new healthy patterns. I truly love all of them it’s because of them that I fell back in love with LIFE and no longer want to die. At this point I was fully plugged in with more recovery support then I ever had. When I graduated the program they offered an Alumnni program where we meet every two weeks and have special alumni events for the graduates. This is ran by the amazing TAYLOR who does such a great job. I’ve never seen a treatment place have such a great aftercare program like this. Taylor has taking us night time snorkeling 🤿, volley ball events back at singer island, and on Memorial Day weekend we all went to peanut island for a bbq where one of the owners took us on his boat to get us on the island. We have another fun event coming up and I heard they are planning something special for Halloween! That’s what makes this place different. You don’t see what I just mentioned at other treat ment centers. You won’t get the love, support, and people who really care like them anywhere else in the world. Take it from someone who’s struggled with heroine addiction for 17 years and is just getting it right now. If your reading this and want to experience the story I just told in your own way. I can honestly say Transitions is the best recovery center I’ve ever been to. They are definitely not like other rehabs and I’ve been to many different places. What sets them different: there’s no judgement, you actually see your therapist, a psychiatrist, case management, and medical doctor 1-2 times a week, the groups are very beneficial and THEY TRULY CARE!! That’s by far the biggest thing. Staff all go out there way to care for us whether big or small. Housing is beautiful spacious apartments and weekends we do deep cleaning. Everyday there’s an outside meeting and H&I on property everyday but Sunday. Sundays we do outings as a community like the beach, top golf, or bowling. It’s a great way for us to all have fun at the end of the week. Shout out to the staff: Lori-Ann, Austin, Will, Maxime, Michael, Winnie, Summer, Tay Tay, Manny, Art, Dr. K, Jeff, Dr. Seely, Jennifer, and Shelly. Yall make this program worth being apart of. There’s still so much misunderstanding, judgment, and stigma surrounding it and sometimes people are made to feel like their struggle defines who they are. You and your team looked past the hardest moments and you saw someone who was still worth helping, protecting and worth believing in.That kind of compassion cannot be measured by one act alone. That is the kind of compassion that can reach someone when they are at their lowest and remind them that they are still a person and loved and it gives them a reason to keep going. To every person at First Step Behavioral Health please know that our family noticed. To everyone that sometimes may feel forgotten. The individuals who brought her food, a warm blanket, cleaned up after her and then told her it was ok and reminded her she wasn’t alone. We noticed. We noticed the little things. And most importantly we noticed the love. You may not realize how much those moments meant, but they meant everything to us. When we couldn’t be there. I came through once, had an amazing g experience, and after a while of doing well, I unfortunately fell off. When I was finally ready for help again, I had moved back to Ohio, and the only way I’d go back to treatment is if I came back to Recovery Unplugged in South Florida. Clinical staff is phenomenal, my therapist Brendan was amazing, and I HAVE to give a shoutout to alumni team, who still keep me a part of a community long after finishing treatment. My alumni coordinator, Tonya, is absolutely amazing. She makes sure that I still stay a part of an amazing community long after I finished treatment. I’m extremely grateful for the experience I had with this program. From the very beginning, they made the entire process as easy and stress-free as possible, including helping me with my flight and getting me set up at the right facility so I could be as comfortable and focused as possible. One thing that meant a lot to me was that they even took my dog in when I had nowhere else to put him. That took a huge weight off my shoulders and allowed me to focus on myself and getting my life back on track. I’m truly thankful for the staff, the support, and everything this program did for me. It gave me the opportunity to get my life moving in the right direction, and I’ll always appreciate that. I’ve been at AWA for 7 months and a miracle it was, and at first you might hate it—you might not want to come. In my experience, I was hesitant, skeptical, and filled with anxiety because of my past experiences with mental health facilities. But AWA is different. It’s such a great clinic, and I’ve learned to love it here. The staff truly care about you and your family, and you’ll come to feel connected with the other clients. Some days you won’t want to go because it’s 20 hours a week and you might be tired, but if you engage and take your treatment seriously, you’ll find that coming every day is worth it. Yes, there is little to no drama, and even when it happens, no one holds a grudge for long because we’re always there for each other. Plus, they won’t leave you in the dark after treatment—they make sure you have a plan afterward. They also let clients be very involved in their treatment plans, and many of the rules can change if the majority of the group agrees. I also love how inclusive AWA is—from race, to gender, to sexuality. The staff will help and counsel you even if you’re crying in group. I know that sounds obvious, but the facility I used to be in didn’t do that. I remember crying in group and one of the facilitators pulled me out to counsel me, and when I was overstimulated, they gave me earplugs to help. At the end of my treatment, I would say AWA definitely helped heal me, and I would recommend it to anyone going through mental health problems it has been truly a blessing.

I spent 60 days as PHP and 30 days as IOP at this rehab facility. There’s always 2 group rooms to choose from with activation of group facilitators and therapists that run the groups. While here I spent most of my time Scott’s group in the morning. He does a great job of making sure that you are correctly able to identify what got you here in the first place like the fact that being in rehab is not a choice. It is a result of your addiction. Your recovery is the choice you get to make if you put in the work. If you feel that you’ll get more benefit from learning the psychology of things then Dr. B’s group is perfect for you in the other room. And if you want a variety of techniques Jamie is amazing at balance including things such as music therapy, Ted Talks, and recovery speakers in addition to the regular conversations. Is Luminous perfect and issue free? NO. However, it is here to test you and make sure that while you’re under their protective bubble of life you learn to deal with life, cravings, and coping mechanisms the right way. There are many employees who are here for all the right reasons. Some have been through rehab and dealt with addiction themselves and are able to give you insight into what the correct steps to make are without all the fluff like the lead tech Novak who assists in the majority of day to day operations. My case manager Elise goes above and beyond her scope of her job title. While clients speak amongst themselves about issues they may be having, she is brought up as the one who often helps clients that aren’t under her management and picks up slack for other ppl who try to redirect you to someone else for assistance. It’s no wonder that when the new case manager came in they had her shadow her rather than the more senior case manager. Overall I thank Luminous and the entire staff and clients who all contributed to my Successful rehab completion. They have assisted me in my discovery phase and have put me on the path to recovery. I can now claim to be 90 days clean and sober for the first time in over 20 years. Thanks again.
