A lot of people like to talk bad about the VA. The Wacross CBOC has been a wonderful experience for me. Down home friendly staff that really seem to care about the veterans. Just got a new Primary Care Doctor who is really great so far. Bonus benefit is it's only 10 to 15 minutes away from me. Instead of the hour and a half that I used to travel to in Ohio.

We were traveling through Appling County when we needed emergency medical attention. From the moment we pulled in, we encountered nothing short of THE BEST that humanity has to offer! The first person we saw just happened to be one of God's special angels - who could not be a better representative for Appling Healthcare! Tristan was helpful, warm and welcoming... like he was inviting us into his home. He and two sweet nurses helped me to get my family member inside and settled into a comfortable room immediately.
The check-in process went smoothly and the nursing staff went to work right away. Within a matter of minutes our Nurse Practitioner was in the room. Andy treated us like family! He was thorough, patient and supportive. The necessary blood work, tests, and scans were completed AND we received the results within approximately an hour and a half from the time we arrived. Within the next half hour we were already meeting with a specialist from the Medical College of GA Hospital system in Augusta through a large video screen that was rolled into the room!! Mind-blowing!
Small-town medical care is not always associated with being as updated and plugged-in to larger health facilities ... especially ones with such a stellar reputation as MCG. However, Appling Healthcare, in conjunction with MCG, has now set THE GOLD STANDARD for EXACTLY how things SHOULD BE DONE - EVERYWHERE - ALL THE TIME!! This model provided for us the most AMAZING E.R. experience of our lives: small-town care from truly exceptional providers and high-tech, innovative connections to specialists who are experts in their fields!!!
THANK YOU, ACHS for being such a remarkable facility!!

It's an amazing journey they go through. I know this place saved my son's life. Kindness, compassion and studying the AA 12 Steps and the way in which the program is run. It teaches responsibility, accountability and the tools to get and stay sober.
Thank you God for answering prayers he led my son straight to Bridges of Hope!! Thank you Jesus
It is now April 2024 and my son is still sober at 37 and in fact my nephew is getting ready to complete his 6 months and he is excited about being sober and they both know and love the Lord! God. He has answered my prayers and Bridges of Hope was the vessel.
It is now July 1, 2024 my son is 37 and in August it will be 3 years Sober!! Praise Jesus and Bridges of Hope! To God be the Glory! Don’t stop praying! Thank you Bridges!!!
ps at this moment we have another young man from our town who has just completed his first week!!!

We also have a friend from our church who completed 6 months and he is 11 months sober.
I’m giving God the glory!!! Bridges not only instills a sober lifestyle! They give the men a structure and tools to live. I have another son who is sober 10 months he went to an insurance based rehab and thank you Jesus he’s still sober but I don’t see the love for God and the commitment to following the steps like I see in my other son and nephew. Again thank you Bridges of Hope!!

I often joke with my husband, if New Season sold a t-shirt I would wear it. I came here to say the same thing I happily see many other people have said. "This place saved my life!" Not just myself, but my spouse as well. I used to be homeless. I used to be a junkie. I have been so many different things in my life, however, I am no longer either of those. When I came into new season for the very first time I was alone, sweating, shaking, and so so sick. I had missed the intake hours by about 20 mins and I remember feeling so defeated knowing I missed it and would have to go use again to feel better. Tears started streaming my face and the director saw me, introduced himself and personally saw to it that I was able to do my intake and get the medication I needed right away. From then on I met so many wonderful people who have worked under the roof of new seasons Jax, formerly metro Jax for those of us who have been around a while. I can promise you that if you are stuck in that same cycle of out of control addiction and do not know what to do, just give them a call and ask some questions. Work this program the way it is intended and you can get your life back. Going to new season was the best choice I ever made. I am in a place I thought not possible. Thank you New Season.
I would also like to put on here, just for the feedback of new season, the old director Shawn/Sean is a very special person and we all miss him dearly, we wish him the best. Personally, myself, I wish I could thank him with his work regarding grant funding, this has helped so many of us after the cut of the healthcare credits last year. Lindsey Gainey will also be greatly missed and was a gift from the lord, this woman helped me at some of my very lowest points. Special shout out to my current counsoler Beth, who is wonderful! I could not ask for a better counsoler and would be devastated if I ever lost her. Ashley Brown, one of the finance officers is always there to answer my questions and ease my mind when it comes to insurance or dosing payment questions, she's amazing. Last but certainly not least, a special thanks to Kenya, who is so hardworking, caring, and pious. They all deserve a huge round of applause and frankly a raise. While I'm at it I will give praise to the nurses in the dosing windows who are the true unsung heroes when I show up 30mins before close to pick up 13 take homes, I am eternally grateful.
