My mama was recently a patient of Appling Healthcare, Emergency department and Infusion Clinic. My family is very pleased with the care and compassion received by each department and staff members. From the EMS that picked her up to the nurses' and all other staff in between, my mother was treated with kindness and respect. We are very happy with service received.

May 20, 2025, I went for what we thought was gonna be kidney stones or a severe UTI. After lots of tests and a CT with contrast, I did have a UTI, but I also had a 4.5 cm mass on my kidney. The ER nurses and the NP, Andy Sellers, were totally attentive to my symptoms. They kept me there until they figured out what was making me so sick. I couldn't have asked for better care than what I received at Appling Healthcare ER. The mass was Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma. It was cancer. I am now 1 month and 10 days out from having my kidney removed and I am so very thankful for you guys finding it and now I get to continue living life and watch my grandbabies grow up. My husband came home in April from his stay at Bridges. As a spouse I can’t say enough good things about this rehab. This was his fourth rehab at other places and hopefully the last. The program is fair, AA balanced and the guys have to work to stay. It is extremely well run and organized and the guys know what to expect. The camaraderie between staff and residents is genuine and the program works if one wants it to. I am very thankful to Chad and his guys for aiding my husband in his sobriety. One day at a time.

I highly recommend BrightLife of Hilton Head, SC. Staff was supportive, house manager Lisa looks out for us! Nursing and tech support were always resourceful and pleasant. The women’s house was comfortable and safe. Many extra outings were made. Therapists were highly trained and knowledgable.

Horrible front desk i've been going there since 2021 and things have changed for the worst. They never know nothing and can't assist you with nothing but check people in. They can't even make an appointment or update your time useless. I got my wife (and life) back! I love her more than anything, but I’d be lying if I said she made it easy. She would have left if the staff hadn’t encouraged her to stick it out. They made her the priority when they could have easily cast her aside and given up on her. A lot of people did, but they didn’t!

I came here needing stability and tools to manage C-PTSD and trauma. Mister Blanco has helped me reconnect with my calm, and Mister Jackson is always there to support my needs. The staff, from the nurses to the therapists, operate with compassion and dedication.

This place might be for you if you’re suffering addiction but not just regular mental illness and Honestly I don’t even know where to start I suffer a severe panic disorder and possible bpd and I went in voluntarily due to having zero insurance and in a panic state, this place was absolutely disgusting, I was given used socks that didn’t even match to wear to bed two thin blankets and a rubber bowling ball for a pillow I wasn’t able to access my medication because the psychiatrist had to approve it, & wouldn’t be until the next morning, couldn’t sleep because the bedrooms have bright orange lights in every room so they can see you when checking in but you can’t turn them off, staff check on you every 15 or so minutes it seemed and they don’t care if you’re trying to sleep I got woken up like 5 times in the night just from my door opening and I’m typically a heavy sleeper. Not to mention several fights almost took place the next morning, as well as staff leaving patients unattended for a few minutes at a time with a group. I felt VERY unsafe I previously went to Halifax a year prior and they treated me with the best care, at the time I don’t think so but now it seems like HEAVEN, I was only there for about 12 hours so not the typical 24-72 hour hold. Not to mention I never received my medication🙃. But nonetheless I didn’t experience the full effect they didn’t have any learning exercises or anything for you to do literally just walk around or watch tv take a nap, maybe read a book. Food was absolutely horrendous and the staff talked like this was week they had a larger quantity of food on hand…. I was never talked to by a therapist or counselor either… just maybe a nurse a regular staff and two psychiatrists who both agreed I didn’t need to be there for much longer! You also have to pee & poo with the door unlocked and unlatched! The walls were also all covered in some questionable fluids.. I did see a cleaning lady come in and clean the bathrooms but she was in and out QUICK. They also don’t allow you to use any of your own skin care products or even offer regular conditioner the hairbrushes were horrid, and the showers included a push handle that you had to hold with one hand to shower🫶 . Ps if you’re trying to reinstate humanity of any kind in someone don’t put them in jail you make it way WORSE ❤️

My family member has been here for almost 3 months and the Braswell house has transformed his life already. I am so thankful for the staff here. The care and compassion they have for the patients is remarkable. If your loved one is suffering from addiction I would highly recommend giving the Braswell House a call.

The counselors truly care about each person they encounter. *super encouraging!!
It's not an easy program, however they guide you to being a better person.
Everyone's situation is different but the same.
If a person is ready to change their lifestyle this program is set up to guide you in the right direction.

I personally don't have a substance abuse or achol addiction and have been court ordered to attend the center. There's a lot of things
I DON'T like about the center. Let's just say I like the ANIMALS but I DON'T like the CIRCUS!! However, since I've been there, Renee the intake Administrative coordinator, is one of the sweetest and most caring people I have met thus far at the center alongside Loretta Evans the UA collection personnel. My personal experience with counselors Ashley K., Christy L., Carrie and Ms.Quarterman has had it challenge. I can truly say that they are not there for just a pay check.
