Many of the staff on the transition ward (Taylor, Kiki, Anna, Selena) were very compassionate. The recreational therapist was awesome, and I am confident in the adjustment to my medication regime. I certainly showed much improvement after my week there. Creepy, unprofessional and dirty place. Signed up for just a tour of the facility. Turns out that isn’t even the facility, just an office to get your health insurance info. Bounced around from office room to office room, basically treated like cattle the entire time. They pretend like they’re law enforcement and make threats to call the cops if you don’t feel like doing blood work or a breathalyzer even if you’re stone cold sober. Managed to talk myself out of that nightmare and be on my way. Talked to a firefighter next door and he agreed that this place is bad, bad news. Honestly, don’t subject yourself or loved ones to this spot. Reviews speak for themselves. 1.7 star, great job guys…

I used to love Unison. That was until they threw myself and a few others to the wolves. I was in Unisons " Supportive Living" program. It gives the post inpatient a temporary place to live ( one is considered homeless while in this program; so as to ensure the people in this transitional housing program get put at front of waitlist while Unison aids people in finding affordable housing. I though are disabled. In my time here; up until April 2024 there were no enforced parameters as to how long a person could stay here. The program; I was recently told was going to adhere to and enforce an 18 month stay. Well It wasn't my fault that I and handful of others had been here exceeding 18 months. If Unison wishes to enforce this fine, however this shouldn't be applicable to those already here before the 18month parameter as of March 2024; is henceforth to be enforced. Myself and a few others were given 30day notice to vacate. I had no place to go.; yet to tell a mentally ill person of whom is disabled to go to a shelter is setting said person up to fail. To be told if patient had no place to go; shelter arrangements could be made. Unprofessional is a kind word for this.In retrospect I could've done that to begin with. Yet that's an extremely unstable- high stress environment. Nobody EVER TOLD ME to look for housing myself. Im not the direct line into Housing Authority that we are considered homeless. There have been several staff changes, unavailable services, Unison decided this place I reside now was unfit for their needs. I initialed a document in January to be prepared to move to new facility around March 1st. This date came and went. I was giving a 30 day notice. With no place to go and being physically being unable to pack my stuff it left me with no recourse but to " rent" a room onsire here $800 a month! I received my disability 2days before I was to be out the door. The stress that this has caused me, the money...my 1st 9 months here were a family. The on-site manager did nothing per the directives of his job. The next Manager- while good at cleaning up the criminal element of this neighborhood; played favorites. For instance giving a woman low income housing even though she had only been here 3 months. A lady that had been here 5years still awaited.housing. Why have a person enter this program if they are going to be put on street anyway. In my tenure people having been here less time retained housing via UNISONS help. Why?I'm going to seek counsel. Again others around here pay rent based on income. Or none at all. Im in a place while my case mgr and I look for housing; that's teeming with roaches. A person is only paying $275 in rent here. He has been in supportive living 3yrs now?? What happened to 18 months for everybody? I need my money refunded down to amount is have to pay out of my disability.

As a 100% service-connected veteran, I am writing this to speak directly to my fellow brothers and sisters in arms. The care I have received at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center has been genuinely life-changing. I came here needing stability and tools to manage C-PTSD and trauma. Mister Blanco has helped me reconnect with my calm, and Mister Jackson is always there to support my needs. The staff, from the nurses to the therapists, operate with compassion and dedication. I am especially honored to call Mr. Payne, a highly decorated combat Vietnam Veteran, my friend and mentor. The support I receive here is restorative. This facility is actively changing the trajectory of my life and helping me build a stable future for myself and my daughter. If you are a veteran struggling and considering treatment, please know this place is a resource where you will be respected, believed, and given the support you need. I am deeply thankful for this dedicated team and highly recommend their care. Happy Veterans Day Today!

Horrible for people truly suffering with depression, anxiety, insomnia, bipolar, etc. For 3 months, my son never saw a doctor & couldn’t get an “emergency” appointment scheduled without having to wait another 4-6 weeks even though I told the staff that he was truly struggling & feeling hopeless. In September, he signed the HIPA paperwork for me to be a part of his treatment plan & gave permission for the staff to talk with me but they wouldn’t & when I asked to talk with the counselor/doctor on 11/14/22 I was told NO! so without listening to a concerned parent they never knew what was truly happening on a daily basis #struggleisreal The mental/behavioral health care system in America is broken & it’s heart-wrenching watching someone struggle & unable to get trained professionals to take peoples “cries for help” seriously!!!

A very good lawyer got me out of Volusia County Jail after 41 days of incarceration and with the help of my sister got me into Stewart. After an intense 28 day 12 step program I was released. During that time I learned many things that when applied, have helped me in life without drugs and alcohol. I took their suggestions and started going to meetings, got a sponsor and and didn't use for one day at a time. One of the most applicable things I learned in Stewart was to keep e/I. I still go to meetings and am greatful beyond words to their program. I've been clean from all drugs, one of them being alcohol, for over 39 years. If I can do it one day at a time, anyone can.
