As an individual who has worked in mental health and Healthcare for many years, I find it very odd and borderline dangerous to have a very small window for first come first serve first time appointments especiallyfor pediatrics who are already on medication and go else where for counseling. My daughter needs her prescription for an antidepressant filled and her pediatrician won't fill it. So now we have to miss work/school and pray she gets seen so she doesn't miss out on her medication that she NEEDS. This is is detrimental to her mental health if she doesn't get her prescription filled. I've never seen such a thing. Mental Healthcare is Healthcare.

I’m not going to bad mouth my last clinic on South Side Savannah they do enough to them selves. I will just say the Clinical Director of New Seasons - Ms. Sonya is a very pleasant and knowledgeable woman of faith and truth that makes you feel very comfortable . My only regret now is not listening to one of their patients I have known many years and not transferring much sooner . You can tell very quickly when you are in good hands of someone with a positive energy who is straight forth with you and that was a first! Next was Ms. Michelle the financial manager who was another very honest and helpful above and beyond what I expected! She too had a very strong spiritual personality and was willing to help me the best she could. They even offer a grant for those with financial difficulties . The nurse Ms. Kimberly is even very polite and helpful. The Doctors are easy to talk with also! It’s very hard to not say this is a first class facility and can’t say anything bad about them. Especially those in charge who are very compassionate and in it for much more than a paycheck. Thanks , a transfer just in my second week and very pleased so far!

Nurse Mary is amazing! She is one of most professional, caring, and sweet nurses I’ve ever met. You can tell she really cares about her job and her patients. The counselor I was assigned, Constance is also very kind, knowledgeable, and caring. I would recommend this facility to others in need. My only issue is that when a patient wants to come down on their medication, it should be up to the patient and not the doctors and counselors. As long as you’re doing it under the care of them and slowly, coming down to eventually come off the medication should be encouraged. If your new to this place, keep in mind the higher you go dose wise on your medication, the longer it will take you to come down and off IF THEY LET YOU.

So I’m hoping this is my last treatment center. Tides gave me what I needed when I needed it. I initially thought after 9 days I’d go home. As we do I thought that would be enough. The staff was smart and let me decide and gently pushed me in the direction of staying longer. I ended up doing 21 days but had planned to stay for 28. Unfortunately my insurance said it wasn’t medically necessary to stay past 21 days. The group sessions at the detox part of tides were good I really liked my counselor. When/if you go to the other tides which is a lower level of care that’s when the more intensive therapy starts. I think this is perhaps a unique approach when we first arrive in treatment we dont necessarily need to be thrust into deep therapy conversations were more than likely detoxing and need to heal more than anything. The reason why it’s 4 stars and not 5 is cause of the food. Some of my meals weren’t even edible. They cater them in and they really are mostly bad. You won’t starve I did find other options for me but just would’ve been better if the food wasn’t so bad. Either way we find something to get a resentment at and it really just takes one resentment to justify leaving early so I tried to be conscious aware of that. I truly appreciate everyone I came into contact with at tides from the staff to the clients and again I plan on this being my last treatment center but that will only happen if I remember that I just gotta stay sober for today.

I am impressed by the outstanding care provided by Appling Healthcare. It is evident patient well-being is their top priority. One of the most commendable aspects of Appling Healthcare is the collaboration between departments. Whether it's the administration working closely with community partners, or the nursing staff coordinating with therapists, every team member is aligned in their commitment to patient care. This ensures that patients receive comprehensive and timely treatment. Compassion displayed by the staff is truly heartwarming. Each interaction reflects a genuine concern for patients' comfort and dignity. This compassionate enhances the healing process while fostering trust and peace of mind for both patients and their families. Their excellence makes them a standout provider in the region.
